Thanks Brit Girls. This was a really endearing video about what a charmed life you live and how saccharine sweet your marriages are. We’re so happy for you! When you finally get around to talking about why western women can’t keep American men happy, let us know! 😌
What a very tricky subject and as usual you cover it in a sensitive open way. Love you ladies. You always figure things out in the most entertaining way too. Wishing you happy day ❤
I never realised we had a thespian amongst us. Nice one. I have to ask, do you get typecasted? Another great video.I really enjoyed it. Do you miss Blighty at all? I know you were back recently. One last random question. Have you both given up British citizenship, or do you hold dual nationality? Irregardless. Great video ladies, thanks for sharing.
Hi Chris! I didn't get typecast, thankfully 😅 In America, I auditioned for a part in a play as one of the wives of Henry VIII. I was chosen to play Anne of Cleves - the German wife!! 🤣🤣 I was the only ENGLISH actress! We both miss it, Mum more than me. She is currently there for the Summer! Mum has dual citizenship and I'm applying for it. We would never give up our British citizenship. Thanks for your questions and your kind words ❤️
Hello Julie and Lucy, definitely not to change the person. Loved the topic and hearing about the culture. Hope you have a good week take care x Julie and Tony x
Fun video, Julie and Lucy. Yes, the young change their jobs more frequently now. Kathy and I both stayed in our main ones for over 30 years. But, we couldn't work from home like our boys in their underwear! This is probably a good thing! 🤣🤣

Thank you girls! ❤😊 It's so true about speaking openly and sharing thoughts! I'm engaged to an Az drill Sargent! And when he first visited the UK to be with me, he was stopping people in the street in UK to strike up a conversation! I had to point out they might not be interested, and they might be late for work!!😮😅🇺🇸🇬🇧 This also applies to private convos between us, he will share openly with his buddies at the bar 😮 he thinks I'm being super sensitive 😅😅😅😅. But I'm super reserved and private!!! Finally he loves UK kebabs! I love biscuits & gravy! (I'm a British Fiance, leaving UK for good once fiance visa is accepted) 🤞🏻
It's definitely important even when you're both from the same country/culture that practices and routines may differ in different families. The TV on in the background is definitely an interesting difference, but I think it's just to help fill in the background and silent moments. It's also fun to try and see new things, like going to a baseball game. Great discussion, you two!
American man here. 1. I have been single most my life, so I don't have a high need anymore to do things independently because I've had plenty of that. It doesn't take long for me to miss her. 2. I would say my Brit Girl fiancee' is definitely more optimistic than me...I tend to get depressed when things go dysfunctional, but she believes things will work out and is always lifting my spirits. 3. I eat pizza with a fork, though not usually a knife -- at least till I get close to the crust, then I'll pick it up with a hand. I guess it seems less messy that way. 4. I don't have TV now myself, but it is quite normal with family and friends to have TV on with company. It's just part of the socializing. Gives something to talk about when there is a lull.
Hi Werewolf, it was very interesting to read about your experiences and thoughts. It's lovely to hear your fiancee is positive and optimistic and lifts your spirits ❤️We appreciate your feedback.
Well well I wasn't actually expecting you to change your video title, but you did! Was it because of my comment? 😁. Anyway, you said it isn't the case that Brits (generally speaking) tend to look down on Americans but British RUclips Sensation (as he often calls himself) Lawrence Brown from Lost in the Pond just posted a video mere 2 days ago with a thumbnail that says "Why do British people like to hate on Americans?" So clearly I'm not the only one who noticed this. I have some more thoughts on your video topic (as you had it before the title change) that I haven't posted yet, so stay tuned...
Hi Felix, yes it was partly due to your comment! 👍😀On reflection, we felt the title didn't reflect the content completely. I think there's always an element in every country who likes to bash other countries. America is particularly susceptible due to its size and power. I think there's an element of jealousy. Most Brits love America and Americans and think they are so cool! 😎
Great topic today ladies, today is very different from the older days, so it's hard to compare for us...I find it's a different world today totally...and it gets worse and worse as the years pass! I wonder how the next generation is going to make it...not my Daughters and Sons but my Grandchildren's generation...I hope I'm here to see some of it, I'm awfully curious! LOLOL My emoji's aren't working!
Haha, I'm awfully curious too! 🤣🤣 It's concerning how things are going and escalating. Let's hope people reflect on that and make positive changes for the better. Thanks so much for all your great contributions in the chat today. It's always a joy to see you there ❤️🎉
That picture you all took at Saratoga Springs, I lived in Saratoga for a few years! I loved my time there, except snow! I love the use of the clip in this one. There was a lot of media used that I felt enhanced the experience! Happy Father's day to all the Fathers too!
Having experienced a mixed cultural marriage I understand many of the issues you discussed. Being a Dutch-Kiwi I too had a too had to adjust to many differences. It's give and take - and as you pointed out, as you've left the UK to live in the USA you've had to do the adapting for the largest part. All relationships have elements of adjustment and expectations, differences in background and upbringing though definitely more prevalent with cultural differences. Another great couples issue. Enjoy your week ladies. 🩷👌🇳🇱🙋♀🥝
Hi Anita, thanks very much for your insightful comments. You have definitely experienced a similar situation to us. What you say rings very true. Thanks for your kind support 🩷 All the best from us both ❤️🌻🥀🪻
Hi ladies and very cute doggies 🙂🐕 I think you gave some good advice about relationships with American men. I love how optimistic they are, love the 'can do' attitude of them and the outgoing and laid back nature and humour of Americans :) Lucy I eat pizza with a knife and fork too 😄 Sounds like the positives definitely outweigh the negatives 🙂 ~ Anna ❤
Oh yes, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives! 🤗❤️Oh yes, pizza should be eaten with a knife and fork! Yay! 😀👍Thanks so much for watching. Happy Father's Day to Alf and best wishes to you ❤️❤️
I think you are both prime examples of western women who do make their American husbands happy and I would guess, very happy indeed! Ohhhh if we are out for a meal and eating a pizza, we always use a knife and fork, Mrs Metalman would die with embarrassment if I didn't lol. I may have mentioned before, apart from Frasier, MASH and Married with Children I do not find any of the American comedies funny at all but that is maybe just me🤔. I can only talk about myself with pubic and private terms of affection - we have known each other for 45 years and still, after all this time, I cannot keep my hands of Mrs Metalman indoors or outdoors, cheers Alan
Aw, thank you, Alan! ❤️ Using a knife and fork is the 'proper' way to eat pizza. Good for you and Mrs Metalman! 👍😀 We should maintain our British standards, lol. The way you still feel about your lovely wife is wonderful! Lucky lady ❤️ We wish you a great week and hopefully a few more sunny days! 🤞
We Brits are definitely more cynical, I grew up in a household where very little was expected out of life - go to work, pay your bills, socialise a little at weekends. The American entrepreneurial spirit is much more a piece of me! Although I'd never wear a baseball cap out on an evening meal, maybe in wetherspoons 😅
Hi Brits ladies, haha I have to really define what makes Western Women.... Nowadays, PPL are nomadic after jobs. I have never thought Western Women are difficult, but independent. It depends on how an individual are raised in specific environment, I reckon. I don't think making American Men is not their first priority but being happy together...Sorry, I am the third party to ponder on this topic and possible I am making misconception hahahah. I would like to know which American Men are complaining about Western Women hahahah Western Women are successful in jobs adn securing their finance. They deserve to be happy as well. Another fascinating topic ! I really enjoy the chat reading one to another hahahah Happy Father's Day and Happy June Teenth Holiday.
Hi Ms. Kayak, thanks so much for being at our premiere today ❤️ Glad you had time to go and get your Starbucks! 👍😀 Basically, we used our experience of being in a relationship with an American man to give advice and share our views. Happy Father's Day and June Teenth! ❤️🎉
Interesting video, friends! I agree with your points and thought it was a fun discussion! But the TikTok gal... I don't necessarily agree with all her opinions ;-)
Just to clarify- I am fastidious about my feet! I wash them twenty times a day and talc them afterwards. By the way , I always wear my Mac when I am eating cheese- ( Mac and cheese?!) Another bad one from yours truly…. ❤️❤️
I'm not sure what the question posed in the headline has to do with the content of this video. After watching, it's just this one British TikTokist explaining why she prefers American men juxtaposed with how the Brit Girls get along with their husbands. Which is fine in itself but no deep analysis reflecting on why western women can't keep American men happy. Is this question an acknowledgment that it is the duty of western women to keep us happy? In any case, I'll share my thoughts on your titular question in another comment.
Hi Felix, thanks for your feedback. We're sorry you felt we didn't fully address the issue raised in our title. We will think about whether we should change our title...
Ooh this looks like it will be an interesting video! But I’m not sure what you mean in your video title by “Western Women”. Do you mean women who live in the Old West (South-Western United States)? Or do you mean women from Western Europe like France or the UK? I’m confused! But also excited! :)
I think a lot of these tips apply to any person. Do British men want to be changed? I have to think British men have their own ways as well. I have to think all people from all nations have their own cultures and need some space. The best we can do is find a middle ground. BTW, I sometimes eat pizza with a fork and knife as well.
Hi John, you make a very good point...no they don't! Nice to hear you also eat pizza with a knife and fork, lol! Have a great week. Thanks for watching 😊❤️
Nowt wrong with dating someone of the same back ground 😏 (unlike what that girl said). But nice if you don’t. Lucy I didn’t realise you were a Shakespearean thespian 😁 you need to show us a clip of that 👍😃
Hey there gorgeous girls I agree space is imperative for both the man and woman. Or whatever ones dynamic may be… I don’t think anyone should try to change anyone either. In saying that if they want to change to fit better they will. lol my dad used to be pessimistic and my hubby can be at times. I don’t tolerate it.. 😅 But then yes we all can be a tad bit sometimes.. My husband likes to debate everything and I could dong him 😂 Wow that’s fascinating that in the UK they only speak to those they know. Ha ha, I always get told people’s life stories in shops, parties, wherever I go.. Scott can pretty much talk to anyone too but he gets frustrated I’m always caught up listening to some long diatribe. We are very laid back here too.. That’s funny he gets embarrassed how you eat your pizza Lucy. Curious, do American men use their cutlery as you do? I’ve noticed in movies Americans seem to hold their fork like they’re making a fist around the handle. I remember growing up, you’d never wear a hat at dinner. I find the tv on when you have visitors or are visiting is rude too Julie. Scott will gradually find his way in front of the game, but he waits until I’ve had a few champers and thinks I won’t notice 😅 Aussies are smart @$$es too.. The more we like someone the more sarcastic we are. That’s sad there is less job stability. That would be a big adjustment, everything rapidly changing. That’s great that they give things a go! I love the pictures of you.. Give and take is good.. My husband is always fine with PDA’s lol I’m more “don’t touch me!”😅 That’s great that there are so many positives.. Another great discussion sunshines. I love this new format, it really makes you think and is great that everyone can either resonate or compare their own life to your discussion .. You’ve found your calling.. Keep kicking up stardust and being fabulously youu ❤️🌸💕✨
Hi gorgeous girl! It was fun to read all your comments - thank you so much This cracked me up " My husband likes to debate everything and I could dong him 😂" 🤣 Americans do not use their cutlery in the same way as we do. Heck, they don't even use the word 'cutlery'...they call it 'silverware' 🤷♀️They use their fork (prong side up) and swap the fork over to their other hand when they pick up their knife to cut - and then put the knife down again. We really appreciate your kind support and wonderful enthusiasm. We hope you're having a great week. All the best from us both ❤️🤗🌻🌼
@@The_Brit_Girls lol that’s hilarious and I know them feels.. I thought so with the cutlery. It’s always fascinated me 😂 Stay fabulously you gorgeous ❤️🌸
@@The_Brit_Girls That's funny about the switching of hands to use a knife. I see people do that all the time, but I just learned to be ambidextrous. It seems so awkward and requires more effort to switch hands and pick/put the knife up/down.
@@toni6379 Without getting into a lot of details, a lot of real decent and nice American men get burned by a lot of women. Not all women, of course. But to be e fair, a lot of real decent and nice American men have a relationship skills deficit or relationship skills gap with women. They are not taught when they are young in how to communicate with women. As a result this will most likely lead to fewer dating opportunities, less patience for poor communication skills, and longer periods of being single. The problem for men is that emotional connection is the lifeblood of healthy, long-term love. Emotional connection requires all the skills that families and education are still not consistently teaching their young boys. These real decent and nice American men are simply invisible to most women and are in a world of hurt. My experience tells me that a lot of women are not really aware of the problems these young men have. But let us hear what the Brit Girls have to say.
Hello @The_Brit_Girls how are you two today and yes I've had that experience before I've been an introvert my whole life and in today's world I'm a lone survivor who goes through Life and I have a hard time approaching women today because women today like fake guys who think there perfect when there's no such thing as perfect nobody's perfect perfect isn't even real we're only human and learn from our mistakes Life is hard not easy for myself as American i like to approach myself to British women more than my own kind ?
Hi Gabriel, thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and experiences. You're absolutely right...there's no such thing as perfection in a relationship. It takes work and compromise, as well as love, mutual respect, and kindness. We wish you all the best for the future. Take care.
Personally, I think it is because they do not value men as much as they want men to value them. Women value compliments online, which is fake than just having compliments from the one she loves. Thats my thought. HAHA. LIKE 41. 👍👍👍
Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on this topic. We appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave a comment. Hope you are having a great week! 🤗❤️
I sound a bit American ha ha. Oh no! Tho I do think American humour sucks, if their "humour" in films is anything to go by, so I certainly wouldn't be changing that. I do like the lowest form of wit myself. I also eat pizza with a knife and fork ha ha. You seem to be doing a good job of keeping American men happy 🙂
Hi Paul, yes, you sound very American! 🤣 Glad to hear you're eating pizza the "proper" way! 😅 Thanks very much for your fun comments. Have a great week! ❤️😊
I appreciate your response to my question Brit Girls! But this leads me to another question. Are Western Women keeping Western Men Happy? By this I mean Western Men who are not American. By using the phrase “American Men” as opposed to “Western Men” in your video title, the implication is that Western Women are able to keep all other Western Men who aren’t American happy. Does that make sense? Is this what you intended to say with your title? Just curious! Also, you mentioned by Western Women you mean American and Western European Women. Does this mean Eastern European Women are not Western Women? Just wondering! Anyway… Looking forward to watching this video, although I may not be able to catch it until after it premieres, unfortunately 😭
3:50 Who is "everyone" ?? Oh right, by "everyone" she means everyone in England where she's from. Yep! Just another reason never to travel to England. Why would I want to go to a place where everyone thinks I'm garbage? Do tell Brit Girls; Is the entire UK this disdainful of Americans or mostly just England? At least the Scottish people I've interacted with generally seem a lot more welcoming and down-to-earth.
( I originally posted the above comment quoting the woman word for word but it appears to be auto-nixxed so I left out the quote when I reposted this and used the word "garbage" instead of the word beginning in T that she used. )
Also, I understand that by "everyone" she doesn't mean every single person, but I also understand that she wouldn't have said "everyone" if it weren't true that the vast majority of English people look down on Americans generally and apparently American men in particular.
Hi Felix, that is really not the case at all. We are both married to American men - and we're English! We just wanted to give a different perspective. Most English people are very welcoming and friendly towards Americans. Some people like this woman, may say things - out of jealousy, in our opinion. Most of us think Americans are really cool, optimistic, and super-friendly ❤️
@@The_Brit_Girls Yes I know you're English women married to Americans and you think differently. But it appears based on not just this video but others I've seen that you're in the minority compared with most of English society. Sorry if you thought I was lumping you in with the rest of them as you're obviously the exception that proves the rule
@@The_Brit_Girls Obviously British people who move to America don't think this way or they wouldn't move to a place where they'd be surrounded by Americans. But again, those who make that move are a minority of the English population.
Why can western women not keep American men happy? Hmm…good question. First the basics of the typical American man. Remember, not all American men have these typical traits but most do. They are: 1. Independence. True! Do not worry, you cannot change him and he can never be British but he will incorporate some British cultural traits as it benefits him. He will join in or immerse himself in the British culture. Almost all American men do this with the British culture and other cultures as well. 2. Optimism. True! Most American men are resilient and have a can do attitude. If plan A does not work then they go to plan B and so on. They are culturally trained to be problem solvers. Just look at the history of medicine, science, and engineering. Take a look at the movie ‘Apollo 13’ and see how the engineers solved the scrubber problem (The lunar module used cylindric scrubbers while the command module use cubic ones. That's when NASA's engineers got to work to solve the problem. Using only equipment available to the astronauts, the engineers in Houston were able to fashion a workaround that used the command module scrubbers in the lunar module). And yes, this was a true story. The same can be said for the 2009 emergency landing of US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River, in which all 155 passengers and crew survived. This was due to quick thinking of the pilots, Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger and Jeffrey Skiles. Another true story. And it bleeds over into other fields such as finance, the arts and entertainment, etc. Yes, most American men are way more outgoing and confident than a lot of countries. 3. There is a lot of American culture that is informal and laid back. So true! But it can be annoying to some British people as well as some American people. 4. Sense of humor. True most of the time. I noticed you spelled humor with the ‘u’ in it. Some British things will never change. But of course, never change your British sense of humour. 6. Adaptability. True most of the time but it depends on a lot of factors such as profession, upbringing, willing to try new things, explore, etc. 7. Spontaneity. True in some cases. It usually applies to the young men in their twenties as they are trying new things and exploring. 8. Affection. PDA varies from region to region. So the Brit Girls are correct in their observations. But the question is why can western women not keep American men happy? Unfortunately, I am not a psychiatrist or a scientific poll taker. So I will go by what I read in the past ten years and RUclips videos. The reasons are: 1. The third wave feminist movement. 2. Hypergamy being not applied properly. 3. Womanizers (Chad, Tyrone, and Don Juan), narcissists, sociopathic men, criminals, bad fathers or absentee fathers, and men with low emotional intelligence. These men abuse and hurt women, which in turns feeds into the third wave feminist movement. And eventually conditions these women to not trust or like men. The result is misandry by these women. 4. A lot of western women do not understand that there a lot of nice and decent American men out there with decent jobs, but are just invisible to them. As mentioned before, real American men are secretly romantic. Once women realizes this and break their emotional shell, then the flood gates of true love will flow. Note: Lucy, how could eat pizza with a knife and fork? That is sacrilegious. I do not blame your husband.
Hi Perry! Thank you for commenting on each of the points we raised. We're glad you agreed with most of our views. Yes, you are right that it is younger men who are probably more spontaneous.'Humour': Sometimes our English spellings slip out! 😀 So funny you're with 'Team Ryne' on not eating pizza with a knife and fork 🤣 Thanks also for sharing your thoughts on 'why can western women not keep American men happy?' Yes, there are a lot of nice, decent men out there. Well said! 👍❤️

Goid video & premier 👍
Appreciate it, Adzey! Thanks so much for coming along ❤️😊
@@The_Brit_Girls No problem 😊
Nice video 👍👍👍✊
Thanks ✌ Have a great weekend! 😊
Oh wow, really? It's a beautiful place...in the summertime! Thanks for your great feedback and your help with the media clips ❤️😊
I love how optimistic they are, love the 'can do' attitude of them and the outgoing and laid back nature and humour of Americans :)
Lucy I eat pizza with a knife and fork too 😄
Sounds like the positives definitely outweigh the negatives 🙂 ~ Anna ❤
Oh yes, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives! 🤗❤️Oh yes, pizza should be eaten with a knife and fork! Yay! 😀👍Thanks so much for watching. Happy Father's Day to Alf and best wishes to you ❤️❤️
@@The_Brit_Girls Alf said thank you, we have had a lovely day 🙂💚
I think you are both prime examples of western women who do make their American husbands happy and I would guess, very happy indeed!

Never had an American partner but I do have an Irish Scottish partner it has its challenges 😂😂 brilliant video
Haha, sounds like fun! 😂😂 Many thanks for watching ❤️
Haha, you may get away with a baseball cap in Wetherspoons! 👍😅Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Matt. We hope you have a great week! ❤️🤗

By the way , I always wear my Mac when I am eating cheese- ( Mac and cheese?!)
Another bad one from yours truly….
❤️❤️
20 times a day?? Wow!! Oh dear, the Mac and Cheese joke! 😬😂
Hi Toni, thanks very much for your comments and questions. We mean as in the United States and Western Europe. We hope you enjoy the video 😊
There are lots of ways to make us happy we're not picky at all
Good to know, Tony! 😅 Many thanks for watching 👍😀

Thank you for your comment, Nanete. We appreciate your kind support 😊😊
Lucy I didn’t realise you were a Shakespearean thespian 😁 you need to show us a clip of that 👍😃
Hi Phil, maybe one day! 😅 Thanks for watching. Have a great week ❤️😊
Hey there gorgeous girls
I agree space is imperative for both the man and woman. Or whatever ones dynamic may be…
I don’t think anyone should try to change anyone either.
In saying that if they want to change to fit better they will.
lol my dad used to be pessimistic and my hubby can be at times.
I don’t tolerate it.. 😅
But then yes we all can be a tad bit sometimes..
My husband likes to debate everything and I could dong him 😂
Wow that’s fascinating that in the UK they only speak to those they know.
Scott will gradually find his way in front of the game, but he waits until I’ve had a few champers and thinks I won’t notice 😅
Aussies are smart @$$es too..
The more we like someone the more sarcastic we are.
That’s sad there is less job stability.
That would be a big adjustment, everything rapidly changing.
That’s great that they give things a go!
I love the pictures of you..
Give and take is good..
My husband is always fine with PDA’s lol I’m more “don’t touch me!”😅
That’s great that there are so many positives..
Another great discussion sunshines.
I love this new format, it really makes you think and is great that everyone can either resonate or compare their own life to your discussion ..
You’ve found your calling.. Keep kicking up stardust and being fabulously youu
❤️🌸💕✨
Hi gorgeous girl! It was fun to read all your comments - thank you so much This cracked me up " My husband likes to debate everything and I could dong him 😂" 🤣
Americans do not use their cutlery in the same way as we do.
It’s always fascinated me 😂
Stay fabulously you gorgeous ❤️🌸
@@The_Brit_Girls That's funny about the switching of hands to use a knife. I see people do that all the time, but I just learned to be ambidextrous. It seems so awkward and requires more effort to switch hands and pick/put the knife up/down.
Oh, I know why. Be prepared for the ugly truth. But I will be polite and respectful.
How is the truth “ugly” ?

Without getting into a lot of details, a lot of real decent and nice American men get burned by a lot of women.

Thanks. How did you know I was a father? Okay, I may have mentioned it a while ago. It is just I do not remember.
Hi Toni, thanks for your question. In this video, we are specifically talking about American men, with which we have personal experience.
See u soon 👍
Thanks Adzey! ❤️😊
I have a question -- do you gals spell things the British way when you're in the U.S.? 🤓
Great question! We endeavor (not endeavour!😂)to spell things the American way when in the US but occasionally a British spelling slips out, lol!

They are:
The reasons are:
Well said! 👍❤️
