Just tuned into your channel and love the fact we have people of color having a homestead farm, and maybe one day i will too.. so in the meantime I will continued working on my urban permaculture garden for next year and will be posting a video of what I have done so far and will be getting at least 3 hens also super excited on that as well. This is close to a year old and I’m happy I found this channel. It brings joy to my heart to find representation on RUclips with folks who look like me and my family. I like the chicken water you guys made. I think that’s cool and if I saw that a while ago I would have saved myself over $50 lol.
As an Elder Black Man I am just finding your channel! I truly am with the enthusiasm and vigor with which you and your Girls are up and at them getting the ducks and other chores done! HOWEVER; I really do think your young men should have been up first and exhibiting the "Leadership By Their Example" Necessary for preparing them as role models Black men should grow up demonstrating for you as their Mother and their sisters and other Of Our Precious Black Women! This is how the young men in our large Family were taught by demonstration of the Elder Men in Our Family for generations! I am So very proud of What you are doing as a Black Mother with Your Lovely and Awesome Children! You are definitely a true Role Model that more Of Our Beautiful Women at All levels would do well t emulate! Having said that I want to encourage More women period and Especially Our African American Women to go on RUclips and type in "Female Farmers in Jamaica where 80% or r more of the farmers at all levels are Jamaican Women and the same can be said about Our African Sisters in various African Countries! I applaud you and Your Loved ones to keep up the good work! MaCon in Arizona!

Just came across your video! I been on the hunt for families of color that homestead as there aren’t many that actually record their journey. I am in the beginning stages of finding land and possibly being added to a homestead community.
When you keep chickens on the homestead, do you butcher them and eat them? I’m so nervous of connecting with the animals, that I wouldn’t want to eat them. Is that weird?
Looking for information for websites/online stores that sell 100% non-China homesteading/off-grid items. Lehman's is full of China garbage now. Help, anyone? Thanks.
