Best recipe!! I’ve been making this for several years ever since I saw this video and always get so many compliments. This year for the first time I used mini chocolate morsels instead of the regular size. They did not spread at all and clumped up. So anyone out there looking to try this- I suggest using regular size :) will continue making this every Christmas holiday
Exactly! Looks like magic, because the chips still had a lot of shape and they loose it immediately the moment that the spatula touches them. Very relaxing and amazing view at the same time.
i was watching all ur cooking videos with nonna today(its been a while since u filmed with nonna) She is so adorable and her kitchen is so colourful n lively😍
We call it Christmas Crack. It's AMAZING!! I've been making it for years. I have to make multiple batches of this b/c I also need some for my son's coworkers and our friends. It's addictive!! TFS, Heather
Just made this. So good. Laura's directions are the best. Yummy! Topped mine with almonds, pecans and walnuts. Going to try white chocolate for Christmas with crushed candy canes. Thanks Laura!
I've made this the past Christmas' and they always come out soggy and not good, I'm going to try these steps and see if it comes out better this year! Thank you for the video
Thank you for this recipe and idea Laura! My best friend is getting married in 2 weeks and I had no Idea what to give him and now I know what I should make :))
I haven't watched your video in a few months and I had no idea you were pregnant! congratulations hun and I'm so going to try this for my family this Christmas!
I made this treat to my special education class and they LOVE it 😊 And now they are asking to make it again for Christmas party we will have it next week 😊
Hey Ms. Laura! Hope all is well with you and your family and expected little one! lol. I just wanted to say that you are so beautiful and you have a lovely sweet spirit that shines and exudes happiness and joy. Thank you for all that you do and for all the wonderful and tasteful dishes you have graciously blessed us with. I love you and can't wait to see the little Vitale! Have a blessed Merry Christmas and a safe and relaxing New Year! See you in 2017!
Laura your baby bump looks so cute and u look good as always!! Can't wait for u to become a mom in February, which is actually my favorite month. I love ur videos and I luv u!! I'm 12 and everyone says I should have a cooking channel because they like my cooking, but I get my inspiration from u Laura! ❤️😘😊🌹🦄🦄🦄
I've been looking at videos of this on RUclips, because I want to try it out for Christmas. The whole time I was thinking, "I wonder if Laura has a video on it." And you must've read my mind cuz here it is!
I thought about making this with semisweet and white chocolate, along with crushed peppermints on top this year. I love making this because it is so quick and easy to make and bring as a dessert. It goes so fast, too.
Laura, you are such a little doll and I know your precious baby girl will be just the same. I so enjoy all your recipes and try my hand at most of them. Thank you for sharing and Merry Christmas to you and your family! ♥♡♥ BTW....I agree that you need the red, green, and white sprinkles on everything for Christmas baking ;)
I just made it today and it tastes just like the one I get as a gift, but there was a lot of butter stuck to the parchment paper after I was finished cutting it up and putting in containers. I think less butter might be better.
I love watching your videos. You are able to keep my attention, you have a beautiful smile. I love watching your little girl in your other newer videos. Keep up the wonderful work & food. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hugs and love from Mississippi
Omg I wanted to lick the screen!!!! This looks so good! I’m making this for Christmas, I think I could handle this without burning the house down!!! 🤣🤣🙏🏻🌈 I printed the recipe, Cross your fingers!!
Totally random, but could you perhaps substitute the saltine crackers for pretzels? Maybe crushing up the pretzels in a food processor with melted butter🤔
You don't have to crush up the pretzels. I have used those skinny pretzel sticks and these pretzels I discovered they are a square shape and the both worked great!

I had the same experience. Even fancy chocolate bars will melt and spread. Only the mini morsels clump up and don't spread.
Spreading the chocolate was so therapeutic!
Exactly! Looks like magic, because the chips still had a lot of shape and they loose it immediately the moment that the spatula touches them. Very relaxing and amazing view at the same time.

Candy canes *

The big question though is do you put the cracker salty side up or salty side down?
