    Best recipe!! I’ve been making this for several years ever since I saw this video and always get so many compliments. This year for the first time I used mini chocolate morsels instead of the regular size. They did not spread at all and clumped up. So anyone out there looking to try this- I suggest using regular size :) will continue making this every Christmas holiday

      I had the same experience. Even fancy chocolate bars will melt and spread. Only the mini morsels clump up and don't spread.

      Exactly! Looks like magic, because the chips still had a lot of shape and they loose it immediately the moment that the spatula touches them. Very relaxing and amazing view at the same time.

    We call it Christmas Crack. It's AMAZING!! I've been making it for years. I have to make multiple batches of this b/c I also need some for my son's coworkers and our friends. It's addictive!! TFS, Heather

    Just made this. So good. Laura's directions are the best. Yummy! Topped mine with almonds, pecans and walnuts. Going to try white chocolate for Christmas with crushed candy canes. Thanks Laura!

    I've made this the past Christmas' and they always come out soggy and not good, I'm going to try these steps and see if it comes out better this year! Thank you for the video

    I have made this before. I call it toffee bark and usually I sprinkle the top with hazelnut flakes, toffee bits or crushed candy cane.

    I thought about making this with semisweet and white chocolate, along with crushed peppermints on top this year. I love making this because it is so quick and easy to make and bring as a dessert. It goes so fast, too.

    I just made it today and it tastes just like the one I get as a gift, but there was a lot of butter stuck to the parchment paper after I was finished cutting it up and putting in containers. I think less butter might be better.

    My mom makes this every year we call it crack bark you can always replace the saltines with pretzels for a different taste/texture!

    there are lots of versions of this, imo, I use less butter and sugar and add in sweet condensed milk, now that's a candied cookie

    Totally random, but could you perhaps substitute the saltine crackers for pretzels? Maybe crushing up the pretzels in a food processor with melted butter🤔

      You don't have to crush up the pretzels. I have used those skinny pretzel sticks and these pretzels I discovered they are a square shape and the both worked great!
