    Done this exact rigging set up for a oak removal with a high tie in on a Doug fir. The oak was hanging over a fence and a house on a steep downhill. Pretty cool to see an explanation video on it, usually have to set up everything myself!

      Then too, the GRCS really helped hinge the limbs over while we had a secondary tip tie rig to control the swing! Fun and complex stuff!

    as always, thank you for your great content, would be neat to see more video of you and your crew at work. your videos are always succinct and well edited, however there's a lot to learn from watching the decisions experienced folks make as they make them. would love a "behind the scenes" style video of y'all just gettin it done! thanks again, be safe.

    Great rigging video! I thought you preferred the Rope Runner Pro instead of the ZigZag?

      The only reason I do is when I might be switching ropes or I’m primarily in SRT for that job. I don’t really like the ZZ for SRT because of how big it is with the chicane or rope wrench on it. It’s smooth and works well, just bulky. The RRP is more compact and comes off midline if need be.

      Its a makita 36V high torque drill and a special bit that works in the GRCS. Its a VERY worthwhile upgrade !!

    When you use the not block on your SRT line did you use an Alpine butterfly so the other side didn't go through your eject

    The rope that the arborist block was on has to be retrieved so I'm curious... When you take off that block and start pulling that rope to retrieve it, isn't it going to be filled with sap

    Very cool. Any tips or tricks for solo rigging smaller stuff if you are sans a ground guy?

    • @Stridertrees
      @Stridertrees  Год назад

      Don’t climb solo if you can avoid it!! Tree work is risky stuff and there are so many ways to get in a pickle without someone around to lend a hand that’s all the more risk. There are a few “dark arts” tricks that can be used but… they come with a whole different set of cautionary prerequisites. If a client is unwilling to pay to have a second person on hand then they really can’t afford to have work done. If you can’t find anyone to come out with you then I guess it’s on you how much risk you’re willing to take.
