Guess who set the launch time to 5am instead of 5pm 😅 well hope you enjoyed the early release - see you at the scheduled time again on Friday!

What a great game, this was a real showdown. Both players played great.

Very cool seeing moltoni and YH going head to head from the start

I was going to say that discarding Bell's Vireo was ditching guaranteed food web expert when you already had 6 points down for it, but then you got it anyway 😅

think with the OP having avocet i would have taken the spotted owl who is the cavity bird and more bonus cards which looks great with your colors and whanot

How did they have four falconer birds? Skimmer, hawk, kite, and ???

in last round could you have not cached the 3 fish and then played all three of your bonus card birds?

Yes, but not caching and playing Bell's Vireo instead of gaining food foregoes a total of 9 points:
      - 3 cached fish
      - 2 Common Swift worms used for food
      - 1 tuck on the Swallow when we gain food
      - 3 worms gained and tucked on Swift when we gain food
So once you play the Bell's Vireo, it's 4 points - 2 eggs for 2 points, and you need at least a 7 point bonus card to break even, which is fairly unlikely. Even with the Food Web Expert points for Bell's Vireo, we'd still need at least 5 points on a bonus card to break even.
As a bonus, the extra nectar gained during the action to get food let us tie in the forest, netting another 3 points. So all in all, very well played Flan!
