Hey Ashlyn, thank you again for a beautiful video. Many thoughts and many open for discussion. Interesting how Gen Z is making a difference even though we are not marketing to them. Here's what I was thinking. Innovate, but don't exaggerate. And it's not about staying in the golden middle. It's about having your values and vision in mind, knowing that Gen Z will be in their thirties soon enough (when they will be having to pay their own bills and possibly having their families)....and, they will want - stability. Brand that stand the test of time, that bring real value for the money they are paying. Because if anyone, they will be overwhelmed, over distracted and overconsuming and seeking for things with meaning - alternative, out of the trends, that bring a sense of calm. It's in the nature of humans. The consumers are shaping the trends in one way, but we, the marketers are as well. We are the ones educating them through our work - how things can be, not only how they are. However, great tips as always on your side. I'm at the beginning of creating a new website and will be having your words around when I'm writing copy. Thank you. All the best...
I agree with every inch of this! I think they're showing faster what we millenials are slower to show (only bc they grew up with marketing/social media more than we did): they want the real, the no-BS. They're quicker to pull the trigger on calling a bluff & it's showing in their buying patterns, but yup, it's a full-on marketing shift I think (and hope).
Preach. I agree. I think they're acting more bluntly in their buying patterns maybe (?) but we'd ALL love more honesty & transparency in where our money is going!
Great insights on the importance of conversational tone in copywriting. Using natural language processing tools can also help analyze your copy's tone and ensure it aligns with your brand voice, making your message resonate even more with your audience.
Hi Ashlyn! Thanks so much for all the amazing content you have!! I'm super new to your channel (just found you today) and I've already binge-watched a few videos. I've studied copywriting and feel like I know the basics but I love how you focus on trends and even more that makes me feel like maybe I can actually do this ;) Thanks! -Megan
SUCH a thing. It's probably my favorite platform to actually read because people same unafraid to just GO for it & test an idea. It's a great medium for that!

Go off Gen Z! I'm right there with them. I think we're all sick of giving our money to brands who don't appreciate us.

Love the microcopy tip! Will definitely look for ways to implement this. And yes, the testing ideas on X is a thing. 🤓
