Yeah...instead of it being about a bi-curious woman who was wanting to see what kissing a woman was like, it's now about a straight male (who may or may not be a virgin who's never kissed, depending on interpretation) who's cheating on his girlfriend.

This brings up a totally different vibe to it, Katy's original is all about experimenting, "sinning" and, don't get me wrong, that so rewarding bitchy feeling we get from making out with random people we don't even know the names of, only for lust, but this cover, no, it actually sounds as if the boy singing recklessly ended up cheating on her girlfriend for some reason, and by the far more serene tune pit to the song you can feel that he's somewhat concerned and maybe even regrets it, it was definitely a wonderful touch to the song that changed its whole meaning (although I prefer the original song because it just fits me more)
