  • In this episode of the Blood Brothers Podcast, Dilly Hussain speaks with the prominent RUclipsr and da’ee, Imran ibn Mansur. #palestine #gaza #jihad
    Topics of discussion include:
Why has Imran decided to come onto the podcast after declining two previous invitations?
Putting internal differences aside at times of (externally-waged) war and bloodshed.
The recent fatwa from the International Union of Muslim Scholars stating that it’s a religious obligation on neighbouring Muslim countries to militarily intervene in Gaza.
The blessings of jihad, Jihad al-Daf, the Palestinian resistance and martyrdom.
Can the Ummah do Jihad al-Daf without disobeying and rebelling against their rulers? Is this obligation on laity or the armies?
The Quranic and Prophetic argument that links the Ummah’s sins and repentance to attaining Allah’s victory.

This is part of the issue with possessing a little knowledge. It can bamboozle those who do not have knowledge. You think because someone can relay ahadith and quaran ayat that is a sign of knowledge when it isn’t. Even ahlul bidah have that tool kit. The source of knowledge is having a compendious sense of all matters for and against and then tabling them.
I have said this for years that Imran has put himself forward publicly and what we are seeing is someone who is essentially maturing in his knowledge of Islam however, he always thinks he is right today. Usually this type of growth should not be made public, usually in Islamic history this type of persons condition should benefit from silence and learning. Only until you get to a ripe age where you have exhausted a sufficient understanding should you dare to put yourself forward.
I won’t be suprised if in one years time some will start to call him an Ikhwani or ikhwani sympathiser at some point. He may also realise that the badr club is actually the antithesis of a life of zuhd and true salafi teachings.

My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him.

Here's what I feel is Br. Imran's point regarding protests (with some of my thoughts):
    Don't be the one who
    ✅ Goes to a protest from 2 - 6 hours
❌ Doesn't wake up for tahajjud to make salah and dua for victory like the Prophet did and Allah commanded (recommended in the Quran)
❌ Doesn't stay between salaahs to make dua for victory like the Prophet did and Allah commanded
❌ Doesn't go to a masjid the 20 minute walk away to make salah like the Prophet did and Allah commanded. If this was the case the protesters are also going to the masajid, would the masajid still be empty?
How can we have an impact if we're not doing what the Prophet ASWA did and Allah commanded first and foremost and we're jumping to protests before that?

Brilliant podcast. Great to see a display of unity in these testing times.
Just a quick thought. Protesting is a form of Inkar (forbidding the evil). It may not stop the evil or solve the problem but it is *one* of the way to hold our governments to account. If no one protested it would only make the lives of the oppressors easier and they will continue their evil without *any* hesitation
I like Imran's point that our du'a and istighfar should be more than our protesting but that doesn't mean we shouldn't also protest. We should understand its function & utility, don't overplay or underplay it.

Brother Imran advice to you. Wallahi I love you for the sake of Allah. In shaa Allah I will increase my Dua. But you have to understand the following. I believe Allah is AlRazzaq the provider. If I want a job I have to make lots of Dua. But I also have to go out and try to get job and actually work and earn for my food. If I see you just making Dua whole day, I will say brother Dua alone is not enough. Now you say to me brother don't belittle Dua. See this is where we disagree; me saying Dua alone is not enough is not me belittling Dua; but it is what the sunnah is; tie your camel and then rely on Allah. Tying camel part is important.
You might disagree but protest and fighting social media war has huge impact in my opinion. Allahu A'lam.

No. Are we coming short in worshipping Allah swt the way he deserved to be worshipped? Yes. Therefore there is a huge amount of self development to be done spiritually and in regards to improving our connection with Allah swt. I mean, isn’t it empowering that we can improve the situation of the ummah by working on the one thing that we can control which is ourselves instead of becoming hopeless and depressed?
