I am trying to follow Islam and sunnah, and this man is one of the reasons that I felt I got a teacher now. How he teaches, when he talks about sahabas and talks about Muhammad (saw) , it shows on his voice, his face. I took him as my teacher when I first saw the video on Jibreel (as) , I used to look at men's faces at that time, like 2 months ago. I don't have to do that anymore, Alhamdulillah. I don't feel bored when learning, I am sound sensitive, and I can't really focus when someone talks too fast, but Alhamdulillah when he talks, even when sometimes he goes a lil faster (for me), I listen patiently because I can hear the softness in his voice and the way he teaches ,SubhanAllah. Jazakallah, ustad Omar Suleiman. May Allah help you in every way, every path, grant you all the good things, and bless you and the people of yours, Palestine. Ameen
Also, may Allah help us to be more patient and let us learn and apply the teachings perfectly. Ameen

I broke down when he asked to be buried next to our prophet "pbuh" and abu bakr "radiya allahu aanhu"
lmao forcefully they two got buried there next to Prophet Muhammad (saw) that was Imam Hasan's (as) rightful place the caliphate also they got by forcing ppl to vote them. Imam Ali (as) is the only successor, vicegerent, beloved and commander of the faithful!!!
The more I'm listening to this the more I'm getting depressed. By God we have no chance to stand in front of Allah or his messenger with deeds of ours. I am getting something extraordinary from these lectures. Have never known Hazarat Umar (RA) like this before. I just can't stop crying throughout these lectures.
It’s true but please don’t be depressed. Never despair in Allahs mercy. The society we live in today is full of open evil and if we try to stay away from it and work hard to obey His commands, Allah will love that and reward us InShaAllah.

I don't know how one calls it. May ALLAH SWT forgive me. I cry each time I listen to you, kind sir, I'm moved even in the middle of my household chores hours back. Then I realized how lucky I must have been to visit their Graves in person during my year 2007 Hajj for it's only now I learned from you that Prophet Muhammad SAW was not alone there. My feet just led me there ALONE as a Filipina joining other nation's in groups. I looked like them as ASIAN, I thought to myself, less their marker,,, a flaglet in their headscarf. Bdw, I knew the equivalence of praying in those Holy Mosques is rewarded a hundred thousand fold only when I reached home. I was not aware as I left without a SHEIK. he was with fellow reverts that I flew a day ahead of him from the Philippines. Noone briefed me what to do. I just followed my heart then people will just popped up to offer guide from out of the blue. I am a BADAL, a family that is so thick in SIMUNUL, Tawitawi, I was told for i haven't met any from my supposed family yet when I went there last. It's also where ISLAM begun. Alhamdulillah. I'm holding onto the rope all the while until I turned 40 years old who like our Prophet Muhammad SAW started evangelization of the same age as I did. Life is full of surprises indeed. Magsukul. One gets overwhelmed by emotions of reverence and respect hearing about the greatness of Hazrat Umar Bin Alkhattab as a MOMIN and as one of the greatest Leaders lslamic history has produced. I could not control my tears while listening to Dr Omar Suleman’s narration.
I was actually listening to previous videos of omar (r) in repeat mode for past months. Thanks for making another one. His legacy is really fascinating.

Alot of lessons in that story of helping the traveller's wife have a baby. His Empathy and act of service. And then His humilty and the fact He wanted His wife to earn Allah's pleasure. This is an example of leading your family to attain Jannah. He took His wife to help someone but made her understand the benefit is all for Allah.

These lectures are really good and helpful for my spirituality.
Please all these videos should be made in form of cartoons and sahaba stories for children. We need to catch them young especially in leadership skills and what a leader should do... Subhanallah. I want to play this for my kids but i want it to be so understood and remembered and being in cartoon would be helpful if Allah wills.

Muslim Neyshabouri, in his book ‘Sahih’, narrates a long narration from Omar ibn al-Khattab who said to Amir al-Mo’minin (PBUH):
فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلي الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنَا وَلِيُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلي الله عليه وسلم- فَجِئْتُمَا تَطْلُبُ مِيرَاثَكَ مِنَ ابْنِ أَخِيكَ وَيَطْلُبُ هَذَا مِيرَاثَ امْرَأَتِهِ مِنْ أَبِيهَا فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلي الله عليه وسلم- « مَا نُورَثُ مَا تَرَكْنَا صَدَقَةٌ ». فَرَأَيْتُمَاهُ كَاذِبًا آثِمًا غَادِرًا خَائِنًا وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُ لَصَادِقٌ بَارٌّ رَاشِدٌ تَابِعٌ لِلْحَقِّ ثُمَّ تُوُفِّيَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَأَنَا وَلِيُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلي الله عليه وسلم- وَوَلِيُّ أَبِي بَكْرٍ
فَرَأَيْتُمَانِي كَاذِبًا آثِمًا غَادِرًا خَائِنًا.
After the death of the Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace), Abu Bakr said I am the Wali (successor) of the Messenger of God. Abu Bakr said: The Messenger of God said: We do not inherit anything, what remains is a charity and you introduced him as a liar, a sinner, a deceiver and a traitor, while God knows that Abu Bakr is truthful and religious. And he was a follower of the truth. After the death of Abu Bakr, I became the Wali (successor) of the Prophet and Abu Bakr, and again, you two called me a traitor, a deceitful liar, and a sinner
Then, at the end of the narration we read that omar ibn al-Khattab compelled both Amir al-Mo’minin and Abbas to admit:
قَالَ أَكَذَلِكَ قَالاَ نَعَمْ
“Do you confirm what I have said?” They both said, “Yes.”
