I loved a good old BIOS tour I do. Not seem much of the AsRock one and it doesnt look too bad. Aye its not a patch on the MSI one which I feel is the leader at the moment but it does what its meant to do. Cheers Mike and Kath

One thing I like about ASRock is that once you install the RGB software, it adds menus to the bios for RGB and you no longer have to have the software running on Windows. But what is up with that Windows 1.0 type font?

Thank you so much juts set into bios and I was tweaking all the setting I needed to this really helped with the basics and more thank you❤ I was so scared and stuck on the press y “ or N” I had installed a new ryzen75800x and thought I messed up but luckily I was able to connect my keyboard another port and get into bios it was so scary trying this on my first build🥲 now juts need to create windows10 ISO usb stick and give it a proper boot , thank you again!🙏🏼

Pelo que vi lá no site da Asrock essa atualização de BIOS permite fazer upgrade na B450m Steel legend para receber o RYZEN 7 5800X3D, e minha dúvida era se essa att de BIOS permitiria receber memória ram com frequência maior ou igual a 3200mhz, após minha pesquisa e com a ajuda desse vídeo me parece que podemos usar memória ram com frequência maior que 3200mhz, se algum Brasileiro ou falante da língua portuguesa poder me confirmar se estou certo ou errado, me ajuda respondendo esse meu comentário por favor, tchau obrigado!😉🤙
Eu tenho um R5 3600. Estou na versão 4.20. Minha memória é 3600, mas acredito que o processador não suporta. Então, no meu caso não há vantagem em atualizar a BIOS para 4.30? Eu uso uma polaca de vídeo RTX 3060.
Even though I have Asus and Msi mbs I prefer to watch all Bios tours in hope i can glean something new. Sadly i think the favourite option is AUTO for me as I have not improved my knowledge lol XMP, PCIE gen choice and fan controls are my limit lol Weirdly on my Asus the dc fans show temp and voltage whereas the Msi shows %age speeds. @Nick Barnes-my ASUS MOBO shows fan RPM regardless of being in DC or PWM mode, neither temp or voltage shown.

I don't get the CPU Frequency and Voltage (VID) Change option. Can you tell me why? Do I have to activate something or do something? I already have the bios updated to the latest version, and I want to do an undervolt but I don't get the option help please

to boot using the pen drive, just go to boot then to boot option #1 and then select to start the system with the pen drive? I await answers, I speak from Brazil

Hey bro i have a question i have this mother board but i recently bought a el gato capture card 4k60 mk2 when i installed in the second pcie x16 slot it doesn’t show up in my device manager any ideas 💡 our what can be causing the problem?
not enough bandwidth on the slot maybe? turn on bifurcation if supported and see if you can do 8x on the GPU giving more lanes to the lower slots
Hello Mike! I couldnt see a pbo2 function (curve optimized) in your bios tour, i don't know if its reserved for b550/x570, im going to build a stream pc with a r7 5700g and the curve optimize is pretty important (about 20% performance increase)
you can do it in software i think, there isn't a bios setting for it as far as i can tell

Hi. Hope you will notice this.. i had a problem at first the M.2 NVMe is detected and after resetting Bios Via Cmos Reset then the M.2 suddenly not recognized. Do you have solution for this sir??.

I'm having an issue which the Storage configuration doesnt Show the Ultra M.2, which is an NVME plugged on that slot, is there a way for the bios to recognize the Ultra M. 2?
yes if the processor supports it and the bios is set to the correct UEFI / CSM modes
im using the same motherboard, but everytime i went to amd overclocking, click accept. the only option i see is the LCLK frequency control. i want to access PBO badly :(
might need a bios update?

Hi Mike, thanks alot for this review but I have a question my asrock b450 steel legend keeps reset my ram speed to the default settings and even when i don't change anything when i start my pc its boot twice until i get into windows do you konw why this happens, thanks.
what speed are you trying to set it to, if it is over 3200 that might be the reason

Hey mike I have a problem maybe it’s just me not understanding but whenever I enable secure boot and restart my PC my SSD doesn’t get recognized only after setting everything to default again it gets recognized , I wanted windows 11 and secure boot is the only thing left I need , any help? you need to convert your ssd and other drives to the GPT format from MBR

probably not, but worth trying, might need to add a little voltage to the ram
Mine refuse to stay on.
Bought an Asrock b450 steel legend with a 5600g ryzen.
It goes on.. 10 sec later fan goes off, rgb goes off and it auto goes on again. Then it keeps repeating it in an endles loop
I´ve removed all usb´s. I´ve tried a single RAMM in each slot. It keeps doing it.
What gives?
Also i noticed the system fan never spins.(connected to mainboard, not molex)
did you update the BIOS to support that chip?

Bought a ryzen 1700x just now (working) for 30 euro, cuz i thought maybe early bios version so it would deff. boot on a first gen ryzen.
but no dice.. also not.
Meaning: I tried first gen ryzen to update bios so it would reconize the 5600g.. But yeah. no luck.
Well, turn out they sold a broken board. I got a new one. This 1 is fine.

Im playing cs2 on faceit and it says that i need secure boot on to play. Is it just to enable it in bios and thats it, or anything else?
that should do it,,, but beware of booting problems if the OS doesn't support it fully

Please suspend bitlocker and any encryption or security relying on the tpm
Make sure that use you have stored and backed-up the recovery key
If the recovery key is missing while encryption is active the data will stay encrypted and the system will not boot into the operating system
It is recommended to disable ftpm before updating the bios
Otherwise an unpredicable failure may occur

If you have an APU, can you adjust the amount of RAM dedicated for video memory?
you can in the bios but in windows it will still adjust it dynamically
