All the options and variants were explained and what the costs would be. No pressure from the staff. And the box fitted straight away. Does anyone know about home many miles a gallon you lose when using one of these. I usually get 24 miles to the gallon. I have a 2007 Lexus SUV RX 400H Thanks
I am using one of them on my Rav4, I noticed about 1-2 miles less per gallon depending on wind speed and direction. my only initial complain was wind noise but I got used to in couple of days and didn't even notice it after that. These are way better than putting a cargo tray on tow hitch where you loose mpg significantly.
The entry-level boxes look rather flimsy and very cheap. I live in a nasty country and I doubt anything will be safe in those. The ones opening from either side seem to have some form of structure around them and as much as locks look weak, I think in South Africa you are better off with the mid to premium range.

I have a ford galaxy and I have found on a long jury I hardly notice the difference in fuel
Like anything you place in your roof, rack or cargo box, you’ll lose 1 mpg usually.
