Yes, that means I made this meme before I did. And that also means I then watched Drive immediately after making this meme. Best house fire I ever sat through.
Frankly a fairly shitty, really low effort meme but I wanted to make it since the idea suddenly came to me listening to this song a lot. No idea if it fits at all and it's probably got too long of a run up but anything to prevent it from becoming a short. I used the English dub because I'm not going to ruin the pretty pictures with baked in subtitles.
Furthermore, this is also a test demonstration of the continued campaign to expose Ongezellig to a wider audience: having ShyLily react to it is all well and good but we also need newer, fresher material that isn't transsexual or soyjaks in the event it actually does make a splash so if distributing leaflets and stickers or playing the deels on techstore computers or screaming "WATCH ONGEZELLIG" at random people in the middle of the night just isn't going to cut it, make and post memes instead. Certainly easier (and more impactful) than venturing out into the world.
I can't believe I never noticed the animation was pissing stroopwafels.
It's a good thing Coco and Mymy had Maya's back, otherwise she would have become a real an hero.
Glad to see Dutch media getting some appreciation.

@@creeperking0017You're not missing out on a lot though. It's either very mediocre or only funny if you actually are Dutch. I like this, but unfortunately it's only like half an hour in total worth of content.

@@creeperking0017 Hmm i remember as a kid really liking comic books some of them dealing with Dutch folklore/history/culture like Suske & Wiske (Flemish technically but same thing really).
Unfortunately i'm not that familiar with media here, especially that which would be also be accessible and enjoyable for a foreigner.

0:15 Pretty sure this is an AI dub, but I laughed when Mymy pronounced it "bel-ghghium?" IDK how to write that sound in English, but if "gh" were to ever be pronounced, it'd probably be that.
Funnily enough, it's written exactly the same, as Belgium. The Dutch pronounce G much more lightly and throatily, quite like an H.
@@dutch_asocialite I figured it was written the same, it's just funny the AI pronounces it that way. In their native accent, more or less. To my knowledge, the Dutch "G" sound is much more akin to the Spanish "G" sound. You hear it in names like "German."
EDIT: Upon reading into it, I'm wrong as fuck. Either way, both of them sound like someone trying to hock of a loogie.
