It’s a great retirement boat. I bought it so I wouldn’t feel like I had to use it every weekend because I spent $50,000 for a it.
I have watched a lot of your videos, not cause of the boat but I love to watch them cause you are just so excited about the boat and that awesome. Plus you have some good mod ideas I have done with my 195.

I have a 22 tracker I’m doing a deck extension I will share some videos with you. I was wondering did you fasten the frame to the boat so it does not move when you’re under way ?
No I didn’t it’s in there so tight it don’t move at all
When I was looking a boats I was almost set on the classic xl but ended up with my 2000 Nitro NX 750 DC with a 115 and I am happy with it only one small issue with the voltage regulator but over all its been a great boat so far

Not 100% sure I like the Lowe stingers because they a very wide hull more stability when walking around on deck.My dream boat is a Lund pro v bass 1875 but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to afford that one.
I pick mine up Saturday. So exited. Do you think the 6 gallon tank is enough for about a half day run? especially during break-in?

I got my boat Saturday. Took it home in a torrential downpour about an hour or so drive (due the the conditions), I could barely see the road, it was bad. Do you think the foam in the boat got soaked? I did let it drain as my driveway slops to the road a bit. I'm an old guy and can't seem to lift the tongue to move it around in my driveway, my previous boats were easy. It it normal for it to be this heavy? Thanks in advance man.
No I don’t think you have any issues mine has gotten soaked multiple times you will be fine. As far as lifting the tongue are you cranking it up with the jack or you physically trying to lift it off the hitch? It’s not a heavy boat even for someone older cranking the jack should not be that difficult if it is you might want to take it back to make sure your jack is not messed up.
Thanks man, feel better now. yeah I was trying to lift it to move it around. I was able to with two previous boats, but this one I'm unable to. Had my son try, he's a big guy, he couldn't either. @@BredForBass
@@waynehamilton5248 they make a little dolly 2 wheel cart that has a hitch on it and you can move it all around your driveway with ease you should check it out my buddy uses one they work great

Does the tracker classic have the versa track on it? I am saving to buy 1 , going to go to bass pro in september. From everything i have searched, I think it will be a good boat for my wife and I.
No it don’t but it is a good boat especially for one or two people I have no complaints at all!

I just bought a 2021 classic and I can't believe that the whole battery box area has like a 10 inch Gap in it where water can just brush up and pour in the back of the boat and drowned all your electronics. Maybe the water does it back up into the boat but I don't see how it can keep from doing it cuz all boats do it if you all of a sudden just stopped.
Yea I see what your saying but I’ve never had any issues it would take a good bit if water to have any effect on anything back their.That back battery is nice plenty of room to work back their most boats don’t give you any space where the batteries are.

just got my 170 a few months ago -its my first boat the first ive ever owned and yea price has gone up I paid about 22k out the door and theyve gone up another 2 grand for 23... sign of times it just sucks. and no, you cannot find a good used boat now either they are also crazy expensive. anyway, I love it still learning a lot about fishing and running the boat but yea I agree its a great boat if you use it for the right things.
I like the 170 the layout definitely better then what I got in my boat
@@BredForBass there were no XLs around when I got my 22, it was one of the last in the area until the 23s came out and with the coming price increases, I decided to just get the 170 - no regrets at all but the XL is also a good boat - same basic hull just a few tweaks to interior. 23s went up nearly 2k and still a few months wait according to my local BPS. so Im glad I got mine --- agree not the best boat you'll ever find but a very good solid boat at a good price and the new merc. is a definite + over used. and adding to it is kinda fun. This is my first boat and glad I could find a new one you really cannot beat it for a little over 20k

I feel bad for anyone who bought this boat after 2019. My 2019 came with the 50 hp standard for $10,995 2021 it's 17k. Ridiculous. Glad I got mine in 2019
I felt lucky to get it at 12,995 I’m sure in a few years people gonna feel lucky to get it at 15,995 😂
You are lucky, a good friend of mine got one shortly after me and paid the 17k and added a $3k trolling motor. 20k in a boat with no electronics or anything else at all
Could this boat be used in salt water from time to time?
Definitely people do it all the time the trolling motor might need changed to a saltwater model but the boat will handle it fine.
You can’t get a boat right now without quality control issues. My new bowrider was 50k and I have had several qc issues and things I have fixed myself. Also my 50k boat in 2021 is almost 70k now. Everything is more expensive and lower quality. This classic is high on my list for a little fishing boat for me and my dad and son
I agree 100% quality control with a lot of these manufacturers has slipped.I love my classic still.it’s not gonna win a beauty contest or a race but it gets me everywhere I need to go which allows me the opportunity to catch more fish at a reasonable price especially in todays market.

Mines got a ton of tackle storage because I extended the deck and added compartments.Your right though from the factory not much storage.
Hey man great chat. U hit a lot of key points ! How you don’t wanna buy used and buy a problem !! . Looking at a tracker pro 17 2024 , like you said the prices of things are high. Interest rates are high ! But the money spent is well worth it in my mind to spend time with loved ones fishing or just cruising , knowing you have a a brand new boat that YOU maintained !
I have things that people have said or just saying that have helped me make up my mind !

Been looking at the XL for a while now and had my mind set as itnwas perfect for what i wanted to do. So I Went down to bass pro to order one just to find out the new 2023 is now 1,000$ more than the 22, which was 3 grand more than the 21. Out the door taxes and everything i was looking at almost 19k. Not worth it In any way shape or form. Much much better boats out there for the same price. The price of these is no longer a poor man's bass boat.
If you don’t mind me asking what boat is better for 19k brand new? A lowe scorpion? You could also look at lightly used I’ve seen a bunch of 21 models for sale with less then 10 hours on the motor around 12-15k.

I'm one of them tube towers lol.i fish any body of water i want to with mine. I mean that's the point right? To get where the fish are. It's not what kind of boat you are in. It's how good you fish. I had my wife and 11 year old son in this with a big Bertha innertube lol. I will say the tube is too big but we managed. We defintly we're not the people on the bank saying dang i wish i had a boat lol. We have a blast. And my buddies with big boats call me when we need to get into the back water areas."where the fish are" I love my bass tracker

I agree but I’ve seen 60k bass boats without dry storage as well.They claim to be dry but they not.
