My first impression is that it sure looks like they have had ambition making this game and did not just wish to make a money making machine or a cheap first person version of GTA.
@@Cybernaut76 If you had to compare a game to CP2077, I'd say the game compares better to Fallout New Vegas in scope and depth but it's still it's own beast itself.
@@Dredizzle The only thing I don't like is the cheapest, lowest tech weapons were given new names. They should have given them names like AK-47, M-16 etc and the game should have said they are very old weapons but still deadly in the hands of people too poor to buy more modern ones (just like you could still easily get killed by a Gladius used by a Roman legionary 2000 years ago....or a sword used by some Union/Confederate cavalryman 160 years ago).
@@Cybernaut76 naming the weapons generic names I guess didn't fit CDPR's vision for the game. They went for a more original approach for weapons that suits the cyberpunk/futuristic setting imo. Another great lore video from LKM:) Personally, my take... it feels like there are a couple of default hostile gangs (Maelstrom & Tyger Claws) where even if it's possible to ally with them the main storyline will make it a lot easier for them to be antagonists Conversely, it looks like the Mox & Valentinos will more-or-less be allies if you just follow the main storyline along, even if it's possible to go off piste and make enemies of them The Animals & Voodoo Boys are maybe either/or -- both could be either friendly or hostile, but maybe allying with one will rile the other As for the 6th Street -- I like the origin here and how they've changed, a militia that started out defending the people and are perhaps just turning into thugs & enforcers -- what I'd love to see with them is the opportunity to influence their direction, maybe you can get them focused back onto defending their communities, on the other hand perhaps you influence them to complete their shift to becoming just another violent band of thugs Looking at the map of gang territory the thing that stands out is a bit of a North/South divide -- Mox excepted, the north of Night City is dominated by the two gangs likely to default to being the most hostile (Maelstrom & Tyger Claws); the south side of the city however feels like the gangs maybe default to being a lot easier to work with (Valentinos, 6th Street, and Voodoo Boys all next to each other). Great video as always, LKM! As for the the gangs, I think I like the Mox & Valentinos the most. Not sure why. I just like their causes. Not overly violent. Just trying to do their own thing.
Sixth Street has always interested me. They’re not *particularly* violent for a street gang, they have some good ideals (though admittedly they don’t live up to them), and their home community seems to like them. They just seem to want to be left alone and free of the corpos. I wish you could join/do missions for these gangs, because 6th Street seems to be a good candidate for reforming into something respectable.
The Moxes. Why? “Cause hell has no fury like a woman scorned”. My favorite Cyberpunk 2077 streamer, My man, Last Know Meal. Thanks for the videos man. You put out great information.
Maelstrom is the most interesting gang I think in the game. I'm not sure which one I prefer from my characters perspective though, it's still too early to tell.
I think they picked the best gangs from the lore, ngl some of the other gangs from 2020 are a bit cringe and over the top. Hard to take a bunch of guys dressed as Elvis Presley seriously xD
Another great braindance video by LKM! As a Nomad, I would never trust the Maelstrom, Tyger Claws, Wraiths, Animals, or Scavs. I would be on fence about the 6th Street and Voodoo Boys. I would trust the Moxes, Aldecados, and if I have a connection with Jackie, I should be in good graces with the Valentinos.
I think the 6th Street gang stands out for me cuz they remind me of the Van Der Linde gang. I'm gonna be a street kid, robin hood kinda guy so maybe I'll use them to take down those damn corpos! And it's a massive bonus they like modifying cars, I'm gonna be all about driving in this game 👌🏻
⭐The Animals Are Totally awesome Man Having a Body With No Limits Has Always been a Concept Ones again The Animals Are cool I Consider Them To Be Powerful⭐ 👊🏻 👑👊🏻💥🗣 YEAH
Maelstrom in lore: vicious, sadistic and semi-occultic borged-out killers with barely any shred of humanity left in them. Maelstrom in game: mostly in beginner area, so they drop like flies by the second act. 'Tinos in lore: hanging on by the atoms of their fingernails, pushed around by larger and more aggressive gangs, and really only care about getting laid. 'Tinos in game: will take an entire drum of LMG ammo to drop while their buddy one-shots you with a cheap shotgun.
It's also disappointing how many gangs didn't make the cut: Bozos, Inquisitors, Red Chrome Legion. I understand that not every gang can make it into the gang, but it feels like some of the more boring minor factions squeaked through while the more visually interesting and varied ones got left to wither in the sun.
In all complete honesty, I have enjoyed enough of the Yakuza franchise to feel really enticed to ally myself with the deadliest Tyger Clawz as a Street Kid.
I actually wonder if gangs will ambush you if you have a negative standing with them. Like let’s say you butchered a bunch of tyger claws or betrayed the voodo boys for whatever reason, will a group of them drop on you randomly like how the scavs did in the gameplay shown or will you be targeted as soon as you enter their territory?
Probably which gets me super hyped in that same gameplay and a few others they said that the consequences of your actions won’t always be super major or just be a cutscene but also play out in more minor ways though out the world and gameplay
@@LastKnownMeal although I'm planning corpo for my main I'm probably running through the other two prologues first -- I like the idea of learning about Night City first as a Nomad (probably a Solo/combat build), then refining that as a jack-of-all-trades Street Kid, then do my first proper run through the main story as a corpo

No worries about that, that lore is history now and the game is just telling it for people who don't know, but nah it's not a spoiler and is not the main story of 2077
We've got nomad, corpo, and streetkid but there should be a cop lifepath where you are trying to clean up the city streets and have to deal with ganglords, dealers, and fellow cops who are corrupt or become one of them.
I like The animals and The Valintinos. I hope Sasquatch is a romance option. Or any animal women for that matter. I'm very curious about how that relationship would be like. I really like the Valintinos style. Their cars are like the lowriders and old school Cadillac cars. And I would love to see their graffiti as an artist myself. I would like to see their tags, throw ups and their burner pieces.
If you build relations with one specific gang, is it going to prevent you from creating relations with their rivals, like the moxes and the tiger claw for example?

my top 3 favorite gangs are moxes, valentinos, and voodoo boys
That seems like the three best.
Genuinely those stick out to me. All of them have my sort of importances of family and protection of normal people at no cost.
