I have this combo in the 7th house. I think psychologically Saturn is reflection of the harshness, delays in fulfilment even when it comes to basic child's needs like feeding, emotional nurturing etc whilst Rahu is stemming from that lack - it represents the drive for fulfilment. So having them together it is like having this internalised voice telling you your whole life that you don't deserve it (whatever it is - love, money, feeling free etc) so you long for it (Rahu) even more as on some level you feel too should have it like anyone else around you and often you will suspect you cannot get these things in the environment you are coming from therefore you will desire to seek it far away (often abroad or metaphorically - interest in different cultures, history etc)

Hi Ryan, after listening to this video I understand why I resonate so well with everything you say and your practice's; indeed, I too have Saturn and Rahu together in the same house, I agree 100% with your philosophy and the way to deal with this heavy combination. This would explain my difficult childhood's, the experiences I had (NDE), lots of pain and suffering, and how I come out of these experiences always stronger and wiser than before. I too came to the same conclusion that I have no choice but to honor my soul-path's, (my Rahu's). I see others be more playful and even more superficial, but I just cannot stay away from peaking behind the curtains or behind every masks, so to speak, as this is just my second and first nature. I also have a Stellium, but fortunately not in the same house of Saturn and Rahu. I agree with you about Jupiter, although I sense, love and welcome his presence and energy's, I keep myself grounded and focused, because I know I can get more accomplished working with Saturn and Rahu together in the long run. Thanks for this video. I had an "ah ha" moment today when I realized my chart ruler, Saturn is in Virgo in the 9th conjunct my North Node. There's a 7 degree difference. I took/take learning, knowledge seeking and multi-cultural understanding very seriously. I tend to get along with non-Americans incredibly well, a few are very close friends. I excelled in school but I have a lot more personal learning to do. I've been wanting a spiritual awakening for a while. I feel that can come from travelling abroad and experiencing other religions and cultures. The Alchemist is my favorite book. I used to quote it a lot...However, for me, Saturn continues to delay long distance travel...I can relate to much of what you said. I am hard working. At a young age I learned to submit to Saturn but I as I got older I've become less frustrated with delay, disappointments etc and see it as Saturn teaching me patience and perseverance.

So bang on Ryan! Shani and Rahu brought so many painful lessons during my youth esp during Rahu Maha Dasa. In enemy sign Leo …. lord surya in 12. The malefic energy stripped my ego but at same rahu always chasing the lofty ego structures yet the illusion disappesrs in 12. The structure shani imposes here gets defied at every turn by rahu and his smoke always eclipses sun. Strong Guru brought blessings of clearing entities and psychic experiences and slowly developing a strong desire for bhakti and dharmic life (shukra nakshatra) and D9 in dharmakarmaadipati yoga.

Life was never easy in childhood-lots of struggle, saturn mahadasha made me work extremely hard towards achieving goals & ambitions & finally my desire/ambition materialized & part of it which I couldnt achieve, still havent achieved, which may be a blessings in disguise, trying to think positive here-:)-still learning lot of lessons in life -now at a point in my life where I love Saturn & cant thank my stars enough for making me a better person in life.

I have that combo in Leo 12th house too and it's probably a curse. As much as I often try to develop a routine something out of my control often happens to prevent routines from solidifying. As soon as you have your routine in order someone or something comes along to block it and so you have to discard it. Having ketu(the dissolver) in the 6th house of routines will often create a life where routines are destroyed or not able to be adhered to. Which makes Saturn+Rahu in the 12th extremely difficult to try to improve.

wow...simply wow... I have Capricorn Saturn and Rahu in my 8th house plus Buddhaditya yog in my 9th house... I have completed MSc in Zoology and currently trying to ace the very difficult csir net jrf exam...in India... this may be due to my 9th house and I love astrology, I do research, I love tarot, oracle...have them...love to help people and give guidance! The most striking thing you said was that yes we are very serious when it comes to matters of the house Saturn and Rahu is placed! Plus I don't know why I always get the feeling that I have something to offer in scientific arena...as well as occulticism...striving hard to be more knowledgeable regarding these!

Awesome video! I have SATURN less than 10 degrees my RAHU both in VIRGO in the 3rd house in OPPOSITION to my SUN and MARS in PISCES. Talk about having to learn to be practical, down to earth and realistic. I have had to learn to deal with the everyday, mundane things in life which a dreamy PISCES does not want to deal with but by facing them and learning discipline and order I have had much more success and satisfaction in life.
I have same conjuction in Virgo but in the 2nd house, 5 degrees apart. mundane things are overwhelming and very fearful for me, now 43 and have experienced big financial setbacks and material losses. Saturn square Neptune, sextile Uranus. Any insights on how you managed to get the discipline?

Hi Ryan. I have Rahu and Saturn in my tenth house. Rahu at 14.15 degrees Saturn at .04. Both in Capricorn. Does does till count as conjunction even though they are more than 8 degrees apart? Almost at the end of this now ! Went through my saturn return then immediately saturn went into north node it's been one limitation after another....trying really hard to move forward but not been clear on where i want to go 100%. This applies to me too--I have exalted saturn and exalted rahu (taurus) strongly aspecting each other. Things you said are all quite true, but I've only been feeling driven during what I see as quite immature periods of my life, also periods when I feel rahu is having the upper hand. But then I feel saturn eventually always brings me down one way or another, and instill a sense of nihilism, make me question the ambition. So when I'm more mature I'm in a place where I do something because I have to, not because I want to achieve something necessarily. At least I feel I need to suppress that part of myself. Although my jupiter is stronger, I feel the healthiest way for me is to become a servant to a higher power in a true sense of that word.

I have this(in Virgo). I have been attempting to get more in tune with the spirit world, guides, divinity...something.....do you think this could be why I cannot? I see/hear many people these days able to connect at least to their higher self.....I (in the past) had tried all types of drugs to cheat my way there, I tell you I could not hallucinate, I could not black out.....of course I'm trying other ways now, mostly meditating....not thinking too hard on the resistance......I just wonder if this placement makes my goal impossible? Hi, Ryan, my Rahu is at 1 degree in the 10th house of Capricorn. I am a double Pisces (Sun and Ascendant). As we are experiencing the Grand Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter on Dec. 21. (tomorrow) it will be directly conjunct my Rahu! On top of that my Moon is in 25 degree Capricorn as well (11th house). Could you be so kind and comment on this situation? Thank you in advance. My son has rahu and saturn in 3rd in libra and a virgo moon and he is very extreme more so than board with monotony. I'm not sure of the Nakshatras. But his venus is exalted. So dignities are good.

This is just my theory. I've known a several people with this combination and their inability to cultivate this part in their chart resulted to time imprisoned or jail, which forced them to live in a controlled, mundane environment and live a consistent routine. It brings themes of bondage and learning how to find your freedom in that drudgery.

haha , this was almost painful to hear (the irony). Jupiter in my chart helps me be lazy. I know what I must do (argh borrrrrinnnggg), and I know that it brings freedom and grace. I've bounced between the extremes. This consolidated a lot for me, thank you, even the coming across as unfeeling or insensitive is helpful to hear. I'm not interested in being sensitive to others ego if it jeopardises the team or the greater purpose of a project (11th house). It doesn't mean I don't care about, or value them - it's just necessary and common sense to me.Thank you!

I beg to differ. With a good Jupiter, you make the best of what you have. True grace and happiness is counting your blessings. Not everyone with a good Jupiter have things handed to them. It really depends on other aspects of the chart. Even if you have a good Saturn but not a good Jupiter, it will be difficult for that person to appreciate what they have and say I don't need much to be happy.
