Whooo. It was a struggle for me at times because I've never purled on a loom before, but I'm so happy with the finished hat!!
It's for my granddaughter who is always wearing bucket hats. Thanks for teaching me.

I just looked Saturday 3/20 to see if a new video was posted.... and ta-daaaaa a few hours later this beautiful hat popped up. I love it. I'm gonna use 2 colors. I want the brim to have a different color than the top part. A solid color brim with a colorful mosaic top. Or vice versa.... ok let me get to work.....love you!!

@@DudeWhatsUpper ok, I understand. I'll be showing this bind off again in my next video project, so I'll try to make it more clear then. For the moment, here I have my suggestions:
      a) You could try this other type of bind off: ruclips.net/video/E6ibEpq4KlU/видео.html (basically, bind off working a row of purl stitches and finally sewing the ends together at the wrong side)
      b) You could try to follow tips on how to sew a horizontal invisible seam, like this one: www.stitchandstory.com/blogs/knitting-tips/sewing-up-vertical-and-horizontal-garter-stitch
      Hope this helps! :)

Hi Carol! Yes, you could try to follow the same pattern using cotton thread :) (however, I would try to use some strands at the same time because these looms usually need a "bulky" strand). Please let me know how it goes!

This is a great tutorial thank you! I am getting lost when it says now work 3 more parts this way and cuts to almost the whole brim completed, can you break this part down for me? Do I do 6 sets of 1 knit 1 purl then the progressive part?

I know that this is an older video so i may not get a response, but for some reason even when I followed the brim directions to a t i don't have enough inner side stitches to stretch around the loom. I have done the brim twice now and had the same problem unfortunately. :((

Erin I would say yes. Matter of fact I will do my next one on a 36 peg loom. With a few simple minor adjustments: rounds 1&2 (5 tines rather than 6). Knit the progressive round that should fit exactly 36 stitches for the brim I am going to try it.
