Get Both, Pocket 3 = Use for Low light with no ghosting, 16 pro/max = Use for x2 lens or longer focal length, quick draw video shoot. Both device combine is way enough for full coverage during travel v-log.

Don't forget in vlogging you are almost unable to use main cameras of iphone and controlling image on display at the same time.
😂😂😂 I bought my first iphone 12 pro, and return after only 1 week because of lens flare. Since then I hoping apple can solve this issues then I can buy one. Too bad I bought pocket 3 as I lost patience.😂😂😂 Luckily I never wait.
DJI Osmo Pocket 3 will always outperform iPhone, until the sensor remains larger and brighter. But also please make sure, that comparing walking activities with the hardware gimbal OP3 and iPhone is not fair. I would use some DJI Mobile 3 or Hohem iSteady.
Yeah but I mean the gimbal comes attached to the camera already, it's meant to provide a stable result. On the iPhone (which is already much pricier) it's another purchase and another thing to carry. At best a stabilizer will just result in a tie in one of the comparison categories
I think a good point for the OP3 is that you can monitor live footage, control pan and tilt, plus configure shot settings from your phone and while remotely located from you. This provides more scope for unique point of view shots. This makes them equal to me, or puts the OP3 slightly ahead. If the OP3 had a optical zoom option, then it would be all out for the OP3. This is where I tend to switch to the phone (zoomed video) but, on my iphone, I need alternative app to contol shutter, iso, etc. and if being used on a gimbal, is not so easy to change these settings. The OP3 also has readily and easily available nd filters, to slow shutter speed on bright days without blowing the exposure. A bit more fidly, and larger solution, with iphone.
3:22 - This is an advantage? If you're shooting log, you don't want tone mapping. And Or if you're going for 'cinematic' look, large cameras don't do that either.
10:05 I have both the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the DJI pocket dial with three and I definitely prefer my pocket three over my iPhone however the iPhone does have the ability to edit your audio now and make it sound studio. Yeah four options in the editing mode in the photo gallery, which is quite cool. Nice video
Pocket 3 video has much better quality than iphone 16 pro max. The 1-inch sensor & super stable footage in low light makes it clear winner. Also 10 Bit color
For me definitely the pocket 3 won. Some points which you gave to the iphone i would have give the pocket 3. For example the HDR comparison, the iphone looks horrible even when its protecting the shadows and highlights better. Especially because of that it loos horrible , its washed out and to noisy.
Apple needs to buy an adventure camera company whether it's gopro dji or insta360 imagine even if they bought fujifilm just for their intellectual property
A phone gimbal (quite cheap relative to both devices) negates any real advantage the Pocket 3 has & in footprint/convenience it's not really different to carrying a Pocket 3/separate device anyway. Also ProRes is not the only way to access log footage, you can have log in h265 in the Blackmagic Camera app to have full editing flexibility in tiny files with only a very small quality loss.

Minus points for the lens flares on the iphone, this has been a huge problem since the 12, and continues with the current generation.

I don't think that's unfair at all. Adding a gimbal to the iphone would make it unfair lol..
@@evindrews Well, OP3 has its gimbal by default out of the box :)
This was an extremely helpful video. Thanks for doing this!

Yes, true - thx for sharing
Minus 5 points for the flickering background of the Iphone footage. This is unusable in my opinion.

Yes, sure - you are right - it's just that you should be aware that when shooting log the face may be completely underexposed
There's one thing that destroy iPhone cameras. That disgusting lens flare. It pretty much ruins night shots. I can't believe they haven't fixed that.

BEST REVIEW EVER! Thank you for this indepth review
iPhone 16 Pro Max needs the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 stabilizer.
I can use my pocket 3 and make a phone call at the same time.
You can turn down sharpening on the OP3.
Pocket 3 vs Samsung S24 Ultra video?
“I still love my DJI Pocket 3! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!”❤😊

in pocket your face is slimmer... which one shows the truth?
None 😂 the wider the lens, the smaller the face
😂😂😂@@MountMediaChannel
yeah, Pocket 3 wasn't perfect but ok.
you forgot to mention that you can also make phone calls with the iPhone 16 Pro Camera plus million other things...
😂😂😂 iphone price can buy a proper camera plus a decent phone. I hope apple can focus on phone and not on camera.
