Which class do you think is overpowered in Season of Discovery?

So far from my personal experience as a first time warr main i say Spriests in pvp, hunters for pve. That being said i cant wait for level 60. We'll just have to wait and see what runes we get and how we will scale then
@nohitjerome if you decided to switch into a non pvp server with a fresh char....what class would you pick? Top 3?
hmm...if it's a pve server 1) warrior 2) ret paladin 3) mage. warrior because I want to play one anyways. ret because rets just got buffed and are raid gods and I play horde atm. mage because they are weak now but i imagine they will get buffs and mages have lots to do outside raid like farming blade of eternal darkness
Warriors are S tier.. but most warrior players are B at best
that's a great point randomopinion. what class do you think has the highest floor? i'd say rogue by far or melee hunter. hard to have a bad one of those right now

i will pray for you, i barely mentioned them. on paper i'd love a balance druid hybrid for raid. our guild hasn't considered it. not sure why, i would say it would be better than having a resto druid
@@NOHITJEROMEim orange parsing on my resto druid and my throughput is topping the healing charts in my guild runs. Hybrid would be great just for WG with all the raid healing needed but effervescent is doing 30% of my healing on some fights.
effervescent is that good? trying to decide between 2x priest 1x restosham healing core or 1 priest 1 rdruid 1 rsham. atm we 4heal (rip)
Feel ya bruh. Still have Tons of fun in both pve and pvp. Just feels so smooth. Hope there is some more damage output to come next phases. Buuut with all the things Balance brings i'm still 100% happy to main boomie. And honestly, the pvp one shots feel satisfying as hell.

Hey man regarding sunken temple with the dual spec available as a dps warrior i was wondering which fight would be best fit for arms and which for fury, if you could answer this that would help a ton keeping top parser place in my guild :D

Shaman is way too overpowered with all the nifty totems , unlimited mana and very good dps.
it's true kiromancer but the new seal change for paladins makes them overpowered too. i hate both classes now
swapped from being a balance druid in p2 to feral in p3 - loving it so far.
it's the perfect swap. endgame of p3 will likely be multiple ferals, hunters, warriors. balance doesn't seem to be scaling well this phase
Do you considered elemental/resto to be on par with enh/tank shaman?
resto is a bis healer you have to bring to your raid, no question there. as for ele, they are not on par with enhance

is the gearset / gear 100% different for ele and enhance? or is there overlap? feels frustrating you have to double your gear sets if that's the case

The quest requires you to be level 60. We already tried it
About mages you could have mentioned that they are best if paired. You would want one of them to play frost-frostfire (winters chill mage), and one fire-frostfire (scorch mage), then both benefit a lot from each other. If you have more they also go fire but since they are not the best, might want to keep it at two.
That's definitely true. I will say the winters chill mage is straight up not having a good time right now hahaha. Poor fellas :D
As an affliction warlock main I’ll take B tier. Shoot that’s an upgrade for us. You can only go up from rock bottom!
i have no info to prove it but i feel you will be getting buffed soon. warlocks are too vocal as a playerbase to allow their class to be rock bottom
@@NOHITJEROME they did give us some slight buffs which I can’t remember off the top of my head last reset. I’m having fun I don’t mind the balance right now
@@edub1170 the buffs will help, something about your imp mana, i am glad you are still having fun though. i think you will see larger buffs in the future. or they just make you overpowered at 60 instead of warriors
i see more buffs in the future, maybe in 2-3 weeks, but just a wild guess

Curious, you put Warlock in B phase. Destro pumps, and affliction/demo got buffed. At the very least, warlock belongs in A tier.

I cannot decide if I want to main a feral Druid or a rogue.. along with that, which professions. Ugh. I’ve been so indecisive that I haven’t had a single max level toon yet. Help!!!

hmm...i can say rogue with just the fresh 50 gear from incursions is incredibly high damage with buffs, i'd go with that. either way just blast a lot of incursions and gold. gold will help with any decision you make
Feral for guaranteed raid spot. But Rogue DPS is easier
i feel like rogue is the #1 choice for raidleading right now. you can get away with the 1 button rotation and micromanage everyone
So why are Rogue S tier and paladin B tier if you think we may bring more paladin than rogue in the future ? I don't get it
rogues do more damage, but frankly i wish paladin was in A. insanely strong mana regen and they bring more to the raid no question. rogue only brings improved expose armor
As a warlock I can at least say I’ve still got my dominance in PvP that I can cling to.
that's true kollin, especially with the p3 updates, you can't lose to spriests anymoer :D
we just had an paladin that did 1500 dps on bosses.

that is really great. the balance gap between shamans and paladins seems to be finally closed. i am sure you are happy as an ally main :D

tho its pve content and not pvp content which IS the issue.
in pvp shamans still are like several times stronger than an paladin is which leads to an unfair advantage for the horde. shamans deal more dmg in pvp, can properly interrupt, can slow, break cc, absorb spells, run fast, while an paladin gets kited by an lifedrain spamming wl and dies off it.
in pve tho, good playing paladins are great. @@NOHITJEROME

ele shamans don't look bad but i haven't played with one in any of my priest/hunter raids. how do they feel right now? wish i had talked about them more
@@NOHITJEROME they are like shadowpriests and boomkins but are forced to do in to melee because we have no good runes
yeah that makes sense, i would say they are a candidate for buffs alongside lock/spriest then
agree but i think all casters need a heavy buff or just better runes
tbh i think blizzard wont overbuff anyone and will wait until 60 when we all get the last rune so they can start to change slots and the power of runes while also buffing and nerfing certain specs

lol...it's gonna be 15 warriors. only specs other than that are the tanks, heals, and a few support FOR the warriors :D
Give them their time, after the devs normalize rage generation, warrs will be dead.
Melee hunters getting a kick would be awesome. Maybe when in viper carve is kick or some shit.
yeah that'd be nice, then the damage could be lower and it wouldnt feel terrible

@@NOHITJEROME lmao well after every raid we been gettign 2 seeds and 2 mojo but tuesyda we only got 2 mojo. just seems like theres more than 40 seeds and mojo that drop per lol, had to call bro out

eles seem to be doing ok, I saw a few in world first prog. haven't raided with any this phase myself though. how do they seem to be performing currently?
@@NOHITJEROME I had 99-100 parses on my ele in phase 2 and now I'm doing less then tanks :)
hmmm.that needs to change. i do NOT understand why the tanks are designed to do competitive damage. it seems completely unnecessary
Warriors without world buffs or consums are bottom dps class for sure, even worse if they got no windfury, atleast rogues and hunters deal good damage without world buffs or consumables
that's a good point tagor, hunters and rogues are very strong without WB, especially hunter. feels like (most) groups will be running at least 1 of the 3 WBs and consumes like mongoose by the end of the phase though. maybe not firewater though..25 g ea

@@NOHITJEROME 2 words, world buffs, you don't feel rage starved at all with them, until execute phase but then you just rage pot to the proc it if it is over a 2 min fight
so warrior feels good in full bis with world buffs..ahhh that reminds me of 2019 all over again lol

why did they get rid of lake of fire? i dont understand why they made it a channel
@@NOHITJEROME I guess it was unpopular in how it played. Only problem is the alternative for that slot isn't nearly as good as a 40% damage multiplier, and locks got shafted on their wrist runes this phase.
@@Dadge42 i felt like lake of fire was really fun and cool,. i liked how it worked. maybe just got weird for blizz trying to scale up a class with lake of fire increasing damage

VERY good idea joao, highly recommend it. only problem is warriors are expensive. definitely level in incursions to afford your darkmoon card..bis enchants.. everything
@@NOHITJEROME correct me if I'm wrong but none of the top parsers are using darkmoon cards. Enchants are not that expensive.
@@JoaoMassotyea running sandstorm would be more of a speedrun thing rather than parse item. Diamond flask off CD, Breadth of the beast, Rune of guard captain slotted in when flask is on CD. Maybe as alliance it’s better than gnomer trinket but if horde definitely don’t bother
Just know this data is taken from the top players aka literal bis in all slots plus your individual skill level/skilled teammates. Extremely expensive to gear if you want to come anywhere close to doing the mega damage you keep seeing and hearing about.

Feral S tier, brings 3% and WF, so shamans can use Agi totem. Always top #3 DPS in my raids
Mage healing needs buffed
yeah mage healing needs buffs. but what can they do to make it more viable? it's just hard to have a damage based healing class
@@NOHITJEROME buff the new head piece rune, and possibly move living flame to a different rune slot and make it heal for a greater amount like it used to
maybe make some changes to mana for arcane specifically
Warlocks should be in D tier, they have 2 uses, SS and curse of recklessness. Every phase 3 rune sucks for them.
curse of reck is pretty big and you have to have someone summon at the entrance. other than that...i agree right now. one of the weakest dps classes by far
You can’t be serious. Had a warlock in my guild today pulling absolutely insane numbers. We are a good guild and he was #1 by a fair bit on most fights. I can link the logs

RANGED HUNTERS ARE BACK
and so fun to play too..tho lock n load sometimes can be really frustrating. feel like there's a whole new skillset to learn for hitting moving bosses with traps lol
@@NOHITJEROME yeah the playstyle is crazy engaging, though I'm sure the rest of the raid doesn't enjoy staring at the constant frost traps on the ground lmao

Sad that shadow priest suck ass in single target in ST even with almost BiS you have no chance vs a mid gear rogue for example.
do you think the 10% damage buff will make a significant difference? i feel like it doesn't resolve the core problem, but we'll have to see i guess

i will have my warrior ready in time for the endgame, but man they are expensive. the librams..the darkmoon cards..the enchants..it hurts
where is ele? :D ele is pure trash and our runes are broken, impossible to stack up rolling thunder rune
hmm..ele needs a buff for sure. i'd put them near boomkin/spriest in B tier. still great for the raid though..a shaman is a shaman and we love them
Melee hunter is s teir. Ranged is high B.
ranged is quickly moving up, people want big aoe to make the raid go faster. for ST i agree fully melee is 300 dps higher

exactly what we are seeing right now. i'd say the biggest example is rogue. give them the emerald faction gear and they do 1k dps with WBs pressing 1 button

yep that's why i feel like if you have the resources / ability to do so, leveling an alt rogue would be a smart idea (or alt warrior) just because i don't see spriest or warlock getting THAT many buffs

hmmm, haven't seen any ele shams this phase. even if they are not top tier i feel like just more shamans in general is so nice especially with sham rage, what do you think?
@@NOHITJEROME agree! I think their sham rage technically gives more mana back than enhance since they have a bigger mana pool. but I’d imagine they give them some other utility rune to make them more wanted in future phases!
it just feels like enhance is overbuffed by comparison. don't take this the wrong way, but i feel like shamans should be middle of the pack. they provide so much to the raid that you still stack them anyways. enhance being top tier doesn't make sense right now, they should be where ele is

Enhance Shaman is S+ tier. Unless youre REALLY good at the game, you wont beat an enhance in damage with equal gear.
it's true, at least from my vantage point it feels like they have a very high floor. do you find there to be a massive difference between a good or bad enhance shaman?
rogues are the only other class with such a high floor imo
@@NOHITJEROME I think so, at least a 3-5 spot difference. It will also help if you have a shaman that isnt totem twisting. Most groups are taking enough so they dont have to tho.
totem twisting shamans are always rare to find. i never appreciated the one i had in classic enough and now he's gone.. (not dead..just not playing with me lol)

What are our warriors doing? 😂 Dont think they are even pulling 600 dps
they scale very hard with gear and the top wars are abusing the CD of the gloves / helm on the short fights too. optimal rotation even without those cooldowns is still 1400+ dps though

People need to stop overgloryfing VE so much.
It heals 4 people, if u want to put a shadow priest in the meele/tank group, that means you're cutting off a meele from there in order to give your tanks some VE healing.
How is this good?
you don't need the healing... you'd rather have some dmg.
If VE was raid wide, i would understand.. but party wide VE is just not good enough for a utility.
Eye of the void is just curses that warlocks bring, so why not bring warlocks instead? they do better dmg.
Homonculi is getting overshadowed by Expose armor anyway.. any normal-good-decent-pro raid should have 1 rogue on expose armor duty, it's not like they are struggling to get combo points.
Homonculi is also not "Shadow priest" ... 1 of your 3 healers can easily take it if you want it so much.
ALSO you need to keep in mind that for homunculi to be "usefull"... the homies need to be ALIVE.
Which is not the case for many bosses due to heavy-random AOE.
So you pretty much take a DPS slot for... VE and you sacrifice tons of dmg in return.
How is that good?
I mean i dont want shadow priest to do warrior's damage but can we at least do SOME damage?
hi Akhsdenlew, you bring up great points. VE in melee group = suboptimal melee group. Homunculi is being outclassed, but nobody knows this yet. (will be a while before rogues are willing to do it..but clear dps increase for melee) To me the VE logic is this: the raid has (slightly) too much damage to 2 heal it and even 3 heal is risky if you don't want to lose WBs. Bringing spriest means you can have some extra healing on the ranged group or tank group. Then you can bomb heals into melee with chain heal etc no problem without losing any targets. Personally I'd love for VE to stop being a relevant heal at all so we can get back to rebalancing spriest properly. I don't like the current position of spriest at all

i actually stole the "make VE not a relevant heal" take from the spriest discord. they are fed up with the same problem you describe, you really nail it. on one hand everyone feels like spriest is good for raid healing, on the other hand it's just one party, and it's being used as reasoning for why they shouldn't do competitive damage. most spriests would rather just blast

@@jackshiraq575I'm a shockadin paladin and almost cleared all of ST while I'm in full gnomer gear. Until my last raid I was also using the Scarlet monastery shield so I don't think it's invalidating it. I think the class flavor could be different but that's from a paladins perspective. 5 runes that technically revolve around us having 1 leg rune is ridiculous because we are forced to play a certain if we wanna do damage and press buttons 😂
I love shockadin, really enjoyed playing it in TBC a few years ago. I know paladins right now have a lot of issues with runes, but you have to admit the new seal of martyrdom change is overpowered. Are you able to run that seal even as a shockadin? It seems to be giving back 30k+ mana per raid to your whole raid

Warriors will be top when they have reck and hunters shams rogues will likely be top when they don’t
it's a really good point, i see warriors taking every top spot though since they will reck different fights lol
combat potency and cut to the chase over honor among thieves and carnage for rogues?
seems like there are very minor differences between all the different runes/builds for rogues. i would recommend checking simonizeshow on twitch - he has a discord with a lot of rogue info and will help you. i will make a rogue in the near future and let you know what build I end up running when we talk again
