I've not had any hands on time with the Arctis I'm afraid. But for sound, the JBL is decent, but for mic quality, definitely the Austrian Audio PG16. Depends what you want.

I won the PG16's as a prize when I joined a little competition, I've been loving the headset, mic quality is good but the only negative thing about it is that when using the mic it will pick up my friends voice too when theyre talking, so I guess it's too sensitive even with all kind of noice suppression and mic sensitivy settings. Hoping to find some kind of way to fix this someday. Ty for the review
Ahh great prize!! It's a quality headset, and I definitely agree with you about the mic sensitivity. You could try lowering the gain if you're using it directly with your PC, but then you'll be sacrificing audio levels from yourself too. A catch-22 situation for sure.
No volume control is a big negative
Yep. I do like the choice of being able to change my headphones volume on the fly.

I thought this thing would be as solid as the Hyperx Cloud Alpha in terms of build quality, but I lost confidence in it the moment you mentioned creaking.
Yeah there was alright creaking. But it's still a fantastic sounding headset for sure.
