Thank you! I’ll be 45 in one month. Training is a lot harder now lol. I had several nagging injuries going into this. There’s a tournament in Houston in October. And I think another one in Louisiana in November. Of course, the big one is in Vegas in February. If you can still train, ease into it, get moving again, and see how you feel about it.
@@imperiumboxing4385 I'm almost 57. Managed to lose in a white collar fight night prior to COVID (but tbh, I hadn't trained very well and was facing an uber-serious 26-year-old who was bigger longer and who threw a zillion punches, heh heh--almost put him down in the 3rd though). But then COVID really smacked me, and I also wound up with nagging injuries (and it's so easy to get another injury working back from something else). I'm probably too old to be sparring, but am getting back into (again) slowly. Good luck in those tourneys. Wish I was there to do the same.
Learned a lesson re that fight night, btw--I treated it as glorified sparring and the kid went all out. I didn't gas at all, but I should have prepared better (I was getting the better of him during sparring without probs, but didn't realize he'd set his sites on upending the old, experienced guy, heh heh. Good on him though.
@@gogboxing5655I made a rule for myself. In masters competition I’m only going to fight someone no more than two years younger or two years older. 40 years old wasn’t that long ago for me and I know I felt way better physically than I do at 45. I’m only going to fight other competitors around my age.
Nice combos and movement
Excellent work big man!
Much appreciated!
Wow and this is masters boxing 🥊 these middle age boxers fighting like they in the pro's
CONGRATS!!! GREAT WIN! If you don't mind--how old are you? If I could get back to Dallas, I'd def go for this.
