    I like the metal cabinets for weight strength and safety. Most of the wood cabinet builds i see wouldn’t fare well in a crash. Imagine all the cabinets and countertop crashing into your back at 40mph.

    Excellent solution! The attention to detail really is artisan-level. Question: how realistic would be to have the dining area where the bed is (with a fold-down table) and where the dining is now have a wet room? I found that a wet room is more valuable as a storage unit for humid gear than as a toilet and really missed it when we didn’t have it

    Why hasn't any company developed an auxiliary tank to replace the spare position? The Sprinter Store promised one for years but I guess it fell through. They'd talked about a 34 gallon auxiliary. 65 total gallons would be sweet as the Transit's greatest weakness is gasoline.

      Hi there. We actually use the upper L-Track for hanging bags like these: vanwifecomponents.com/collections/all/products/24-hanging-bag
      They work great for your clothing for road trips, and the permanent cabinets are great for stuff you leave in the van most of the time.

    • @gonemobilevans
      @gonemobilevans  Год назад +1

      In our opinion, the solar and the alternator charging are going to be the main charge methods. A 15 amp shore power connection makes it super easy to just grab an extension cord and plug it in at your driveway, friends house, and camp sites.

    Very thoughtful build on a chassis I've decided I'd like to get. A few questions: 1) can you do a medium-roof? I'm 5'7" and don't need the height, which would make it more stable in windy conditions for driving. 2) for a/c do you install a rooftop system and, if so, how much power will that take 3) great bed and storage but if I wanted a "living room - sofa" feel in back, that converts to a bed, can you also do that in the Trail and still retain some of the storage 4) solar is 100w each on top, can that be upgraded for multi-week off-grid use? Thanks!

    • @gonemobilevans
      @gonemobilevans  Год назад

      HI! Thanks for the comment. Yes, we work on medium roofs as well. We do install roof top AC's. Power requirements can vary depending on how long you'd like to be able to run the unit. Power systems can get pricey. Dinette style setup in the rear is definitely an option, and more solar panels on the roof rack are always an option. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to start a conversation about a build. Thanks!
