I like the metal cabinets for weight strength and safety. Most of the wood cabinet builds i see wouldn’t fare well in a crash. Imagine all the cabinets and countertop crashing into your back at 40mph.
The engineering of this build is off the charts. 👏
We appreciate hearing that!
Love this one! Wow! I've likely watched one hundred van builds but this stands out. I'll check out your website...
We're happy to hear that!
Great build! The transit is my favorite platform and being very tall its my only option for headroom. love what you did with the bump outs.
A bit pricey at $144 but nice!
Love it, very clean, solid build. Love the metal lockers
I have no ideal why bc this is totally out of my usual wheel house but I want this van. This is such a cool conversion
Thanks! We will have another couple available by summer...
Those cabinets are ace! Really nice build👍🏼
Thank you!
Great looking van. Thanks for the information. Very helpful as I decide my needs, wants and like to have for my van build.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the call earlier too!
Excellent solution! The attention to detail really is artisan-level. Question: how realistic would be to have the dining area where the bed is (with a fold-down table) and where the dining is now have a wet room? I found that a wet room is more valuable as a storage unit for humid gear than as a toilet and really missed it when we didn’t have it
I’ve seen a layout like you mention. Seems like a cool idea.
Very nice build. So dare I ask how much for that camper van?
This van sold for about $149K. Options, upgrades and downgrades can impact the price quite a bit.
Gosh these are so sick. Just needs some big ole lights up front 😁
I agree!! Some LP 6's or 9's on the front grille would finish it off nicely.
Neat van. I’ve got a 2020 Ford Transit high roof van AWD with egoboost as well. It’s kapoor red. I don’t have all the great things you put in your vans in it. Where you guys at? I’m up at Fort Lewis, Washington. Thanks for showing your great van. New subscriber.
Thanks for subscribing! We are in Costa Mesa. Southern California. Kapoor Red is an awesome color!
Why hasn't any company developed an auxiliary tank to replace the spare position? The Sprinter Store promised one for years but I guess it fell through. They'd talked about a 34 gallon auxiliary. 65 total gallons would be sweet as the Transit's greatest weakness is gasoline.
where do you put the mattress for the bed? What is the AH and what size inverter? thank you . Very nice build
Thank you. The mattress was not finished at the time we shot the vid. It’s flexible enough to roll up on one side of the fender boxes and get strapped into place when not needed. The power system has a 3000w inverter. 230AH. LiPo battery. Solid!
@@gonemobilevans thank you !
MAGNIFICENT 🫡
Thank you!!
Such aa sweet build, you should be proud!
Thank you! We are definitely proud of this one!
There's likely a van in our future and you guys just made the list. Funny we used to live in Costa Mesa and should the stars align it'd be a fun road trip. We are going to the Adventure Van Expo either in Ogden or Redmond; hope to check you out in person. Cheers!
Happy to hear that! We'd love for you to see our builds in person!
Patiently following your lead ... ❣😊
Wonderful!
Can there be a shower installed of some sort?
Yes! A shower out the back of the van is most common on our builds. An indoor shower is possible too. Check out our most recent video for an example.
Nice video and a great build.
Thanks! 👍
Well done
Which transit is this indeed whats the length? Extended or long base? Whats the volume in cubic feet?
This is the Long Transit. Overall about 19'. I don't know what the volume of the van is. Sorry!
Love the build. We're looking for the same basic van but more of a dog hauler and less of a cold weather camper. What's your thoughts?
Very nice love it
Thank you!!
I like ford transit hybrid myself...
What if I purchase the Van and have you guys build the camper how much would it cost me the cheapest! No upgrade just a very simple one!
It's hard to give numbers without fully understanding what your requirements are. Feel free to give us a call to discuss. Thanks!
Nicely done.. . Can modular cabinets be added to the wall tracks.
Hi there. We actually use the upper L-Track for hanging bags like these: vanwifecomponents.com/collections/all/products/24-hanging-bag
They work great for your clothing for road trips, and the permanent cabinets are great for stuff you leave in the van most of the time.
why 15 amp and not 30? Can you change that? Thanks, love the extra features.
In our opinion, the solar and the alternator charging are going to be the main charge methods. A 15 amp shore power connection makes it super easy to just grab an extension cord and plug it in at your driveway, friends house, and camp sites.
Very nice…My MODE LT only comes with one window on driver side flarespace.
Thanks! How do you like your LT?
Those 100 watt solar panels you have up next to the max fan? can you tell me who makes them? I have the same setup but I'm having a hard time finding panels to sit just like you have.
Here you go: a.co/d/02eD3kN
They are just narrow enough to fit nicely on either side of the fan.
Does the customer supply the van, or do you purchasr the van and build out to customers specs and needs?
We work both ways. Most builds are on client owned vans. We get chassis from time to time and have a waiting list of clients.
Nice, love it, good job
Thank you! Cheers!
I dont see where the full price is posted. What is the full price?
Hi. This van sold for ~$145K. Options, upgrades, downgrades can change the price significantly.
@@gonemobilevans Thank you.
This layout and build is just about perfect. Where would you store bed panels while driving if you want space open?
The top of the fender boxes have L-Track mounts so I lay the panels on the driver side fender box and use a cinch strap with L-Track hooks to secure the panels. Works great.
Nice!!✌🏻
Thank you! 🤙🏼
What is the name/brand of that toilet?! I have only seen the Laveo electric one. This only seems awesome.
It’s called the Wrappon Trekker. You can get it from here: ok4wd.com/wrappon-trekker-wt-4-toilet-system-configurator/
@@gonemobilevans thank ye!
I need a ford transit trail, 2023 or 24 , loaded chassis options and after markets
We have a couple of Trails on order. Fingers crossed we get them in the next couple of months.
Very thoughtful build on a chassis I've decided I'd like to get. A few questions: 1) can you do a medium-roof? I'm 5'7" and don't need the height, which would make it more stable in windy conditions for driving. 2) for a/c do you install a rooftop system and, if so, how much power will that take 3) great bed and storage but if I wanted a "living room - sofa" feel in back, that converts to a bed, can you also do that in the Trail and still retain some of the storage 4) solar is 100w each on top, can that be upgraded for multi-week off-grid use? Thanks!
HI! Thanks for the comment. Yes, we work on medium roofs as well. We do install roof top AC's. Power requirements can vary depending on how long you'd like to be able to run the unit. Power systems can get pricey. Dinette style setup in the rear is definitely an option, and more solar panels on the roof rack are always an option. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to start a conversation about a build. Thanks!
Do you buy these at ford built like this already or do you have to buy a shell and have you guys build it ?
We get empty cargo vans and build them out like this. We work on both client owned vans as well as vans we get.
Hey Brendan......it looks like maybe the drop down tray that works at the slider door may have been built outside of your shop? If so, are they available for purchase and can you share the vender? Thanks!
We got it from Lost Hiway. losthiwaycustoms.com/drop-down-table/ The table for the galley isn't listed on their site right now. You can reach out to them to see when it will be back in stock. Thanks for the comment!
@@gonemobilevans Thanks! you're always so good at answering my questions. Much appreciated.
How wide is the open floor between the fender boxes in the back?
Just about 30"
Very nice!!😎👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks 👍
Love you builds who do you use to install the Falken tires in the OC area?
Our next door shop neighbor does most of them for us. Also Baja HQ in San Juan Capistrano. We use them for installing the lift kits.
Where’s the best to buy AM windows?
They don’t sell direct to customers. You can order through vanwindowsdirect.com or Campervanhq.com or have an upfitter get them for you and do the installation.
You did not put more detail of the mattress pad
We have several options for mattresses. 5" memory foam mattresses that we cut to size and have upholstered by our shop neighbors, RoamRest mattresses, and mattresses from Flarespace and Adventure Wagon.
Beautiful build! What would this go for?
This sold for about $145K
Cost: ballpark?
I have not been able to find a transit trail anywhere. They are not available.
You're right, not available yet. 2nd half of this year is my guess.
Nice. But you seal toilet waste in a bag, then dispose in the trash? Disgusting. Sewage is not a fun subject, but I don’t like this method. Thanks.
And yet parents deal with diapers all the time. Not much different than a diaper genie. And this toilet was actually developed in Japan after the earthquake and tsunami. Pretty amazing product for a not fun subject as you mention. Thanks.
waste cannot just be dumped in trash because considered a bio-hazard, so where can you properly dump it?
Do diapers and dog poop baggies need hazmat to dispose of properly? No. It’s obvious who has been parents and who have not. Interesting.
Width of bed???
80" width wise between the flares and 60" deep front to back. Really a queen size.
So this is not the official transit trail.
got anything used
Not at this time. Mainly brand new vans these days.
Why not say how much?
This van sold for $149K. Each build is different, so stating the price for this van may not be helpful for some folks that may want a different type of build. Thanks for commenting!
Not buying until I get my mild hybrid Transit, available everywhere but the US. Why Ford?
I've seen the E-transit but not a hybrid version.
@@herblackwings33 ford has been selling hybrids for 5 years. Why? Cause if they wouod bring the hybrid to the States, Ford would not be able to keep up with the demand
I think all manufacturers are challenged in keeping up to the interest in hybrid and all-electric vehicles. It’s early adopter chaos.
Solar is kinda underwhelming for the van, but other than that solid.
Thanks. There’s plenty of room on the rack for additional Solar if desired or storage boxes, etc.
That roof.. going to trim every single tree you see in the back roads. say goodbye to everything on top of it and scratched to hell solar panels.
I haven’t scratched anything yet👍👏🏻
@@andym1729 Ok good for you, I travel in very remote mountain roads usually made for ATVs/snow machines. My current truck is covered in them. So I am guessing you only go to easy to get places.
Yes, nothing to crazy yet…
this is not a transit trail
Hence why it says transit and then TRAIL READY lol...
Say tonne one more time.....
Thanks a ton for your comment!
