Bus Don't Lie (with Johnny Manziel and mike.) | Bussin' With The Boys
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 1 июн 2021
- Recorded: May 31, 2021 | The Boys don't always drop crossover pods, but when they do, they drop BANGERS. Today's guests: the boys from Ball Don't Lie aka Johnny Manziel and Mike (formerly known as Mike Stud).
The foursome kicks things off by diving into Johnny's football career, starting with his freshman year at Texas A&M when he was getting busted for fake ID's and suspended from all football activities. He walks The Boys through his college football journey: rejoining the roster, winning the starting job in just 11 days, having one of the wildest Heisman runs of all time, and more. Next, Johnny offers some insight into the reason he has no regrets about how he handled his transition into the NFL, what he thinks about his time in Cleveland, and how he has been able to reach a place of peace when thinking about how his football career came to a close.
Then, truly being for the boys, Johnny and Mike both express their love for Nashville and talk about their favorite spots downtown. Taking a quick break from football talk, Mike opens up about why he moves around the country so much, why he wanted to start Ball Don't Lie with Johnny, and what their next moves will be. Finally, Johnny drops a bomb about a little side hustle he had while playing college ball (*the NCAA has entered the chat*)...
This one is definitely one of our favorite episodes. Press play and enjoy.

Get on the bus with NFL players Will Compton & Taylor Lewan! The Boys are letting you in on their hilarious, high-energy (and often heartfelt) conversations. Topics range from exclusive stories to active player perspectives to out-of-left-field hot takes on things you and your friends only discuss behind closed doors. Sometimes they chat with a guest, sometimes it's just the two of them, but it's always a good time when you're Bussin' With The Boys.
And yes, this is the podcast where Mike Vrabel said he'd cut his piece off for a Super Bowl.

That quote at 17:28 - "I didn't love football enough to be successful at it." That is a hard fought moment of clarity.
Every Johnny Manziel has a Mike.
“I’m just tryna have a drink at the Florida Georgia line bar and eat some queso” will be engraved on Johnny’s tombstone
Yep, just trying to chill and party mostly, took the money and ran
Johnny was dope. Every time mike opened his mouth, a literal wrench flew out, ruined the flow
he's just a kiss ass
Respect the hell out of Johnny and his story. I’m the same age and I can only imagine when I was his age and being handed everything he was. Good for him coming out on the other side of things.
So he basically had it all and wasted it?
@@LSR_30 Yes. Not sure how anyone can respect that.
He doesn't have to do anything or play ball. That's not the issue. This is a dude born to wealth and blessed with opportunity he earned but blew it with his attitude. Even here he says he wouldn't change anything.
Really? He sounds loaded here and his buddy is absolutely wasted. I don't mean alcohol either. That's opiates/benzos. Dude is blasted.
The problem is that he knows he can be a POS because he has family wealth to fall back on. He's failed at everything because the only thing he does care about it partying. He is a burnout now and he's going to be one when he's 40yo because he has the mentality of a loser burnout...except bolstered by the knowledge that he'll never have a true rock bottom because even if he blows his football money the family has more than he could ever spend.
It's sad. It's kinda pathetic, not respect worthy at all.
Love Johnny Football
Johnny 🎱
Johnny bust
Chris Johnson should be a guest !!!! Titian’s legend plus I never really seen any interviews from him be nice to hear his story
Hell yeah
Swore i saw hes under investigation for a drug ring and homicides connected to it?
Bro I’m behind this 4000% ! Absolute legend
Seen him on simms n lefkoe and he was real good. Famous story him n ted ginn jr drinking n miami and cj challenged Jr to a race , barefoot. Jr bitched out and im a fin fan. Ive hated Jr since. Yall my 2nd team since u got my man tannethrill
Make this happen boys!!
No point for Mike to be on here lol. GREAT content having Johnny on the bus, excellent conversation between him and the boys being on their game per usual. But holy hell man every time Mike spoke, it just took me out of the mental state of enjoying what was happening.
Snifflin' nose, scratching his beard, incoherent. Mike is crazy messed up.
Thank you for listening and getting Johnny Football!!! 💯
Really glad everyone got the opportunity to know the real Johnny a little better. So legendary, thanks guy! Keep getting amazing guests and killing it!!! 💯🔥
Johnny football man what a guy I remember that duke game I was 10 I cried and cried after that game he played with so much passion I bought the comeback szn hoodie johnny I just want to say thanks for the great two years you have to A&M
Johnny has the vibe of Mark Wahlberg, after he crashed his corvette in “Boogie Nights.”
Bahahah
Legit well said lol

Mike is a tough listen. Other then his 5 minute random rambles from time to time, awesome episode.
dude is letting them talk
@@JasonNoto I don’t mind mike. But not every single conversation has to be as deep as he goes.
@@ginotiberi9689 exactly
Mike was completely unnecessary, I think I’m dumber for listening to his ramblings
I like mike, but he talks in circles and repeats himself in different terminology.
Someone literally took a picture of him buying bread and wine at a grocery store one day and social media acted like he was on the Vegas swan again. I’d hate that life too.
What a great interview....and Mike was also there
Hahah he’s
Wearing a ball doesn’t lie hat hahah yah you don’t know shit their relationship
There all wearing it hahaha
Dammit, I was expecting a train wreck and was DEFINITELY (and very happily) proven wrong. GREAT interview and back-and-forth fellas! Again GREAT job on the dialog and questions.
As someone who has struggled so much with mental health issues throughout my life I am genuinely happy for Johnny. It takes a lot to get to where he is. To have the ability to accept your mistakes and be content with the way things have happened in your life is so hard. Especially when you were on top of the world and had the potential to make hundreds of millions of dollars like he could have. To be able to say it wasn’t for me, and that it happened the way it was supposed to and be content with where you are, is a great thing for him.
I swear! So many judging, clueless douchebags in the comment section. I’m glad that he has found happiness
Absolutely agree!
It’s such a waste of energy focusing on the past. Especially negative experiences
Awesome to hear johnnys view point on this. Glad he found peace and is happy. Life’s more than football
You actually believed that shit......

@@gHenny. bro do you have anything better to do
His peace comes from drinking still
@@YishikawaForno I know he's a drinker but he's blasting lines every half hour.
The Blockfolio ad read with Manziels comment at the end had me dying laughing
Every time Mike talks about a spiritual path I want to punch a wall, dude is cooked
Both of them are so high off their own bs it's annoying haha they just some dudes that can't stop talking about themselves
@@allen2959 they’re literally on a Podcast talking about themselves, what do you expect them to talk about? Come on man
@@allen2959 that’s why they came on dumbass

Johnny being around guys like Mike is exactly why he got into this life situation. Cut the losers man.
Yeah cause mike is the reason Manziels career wasn't shit good one bud
@@Devizze1 I mean look at the 5 closest people to you. That will tell you why your life is shit.
Mike actually seems pretty grounded man.
@@Phsjygsvgsghayh guy pushing a bunch of drinking products is definitely “grounded” when Manzel fell out the league for drinking and drug abuse. Lol this video sums up why he had 0 success in the league and how one track him and his friends brains are.
@@Triqkshot Mate Manziel ain’t choosing to be sober anytime soon. Better to have boys you drink with that have your back then a bunch of people trying to cage you into sober living regardless of your own personal feelings.
RIP Colt Brennan.....
Be careful Johnny, luv what your sayin' bro!
Colt died of fentanyl OD. If you watch Johnny and Mike in their last pod, they itch the whole time. Thats not very good to see. Nowadays they are pressing fake pills and adding fentanyl. I hope johnny gets help. He needs it. He also needs a good mental health eval.
Good to see manziel at peace ! Boy was a savage at Texas a&m
Literally 3 bangers in a row best pod out
Every1 is happy to see Johnny happy
You guys with this podcast keep helping so many people and I’m one of them keep doing what your doing you guys are the real ones 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
The collab i didn't know i needed
Love Johnny as a guest here. Very interesting stories and insights. I used to listen to Mike’s music when I was in like high school but listening to him here was like nails on a chalk board unfortunately. He might be the definition of a tool.
He straight up used that dude and stole his idea and cashed out on it. A million bucks when they are selling 30k per day at times isnt much. Mike is coked out and hung over in this. Johnny is gitty too. Mike just did a commercial on his twitter and he looks coked out of his gord. Sucks that Johnny's pod wasn't genuine meaning he abandoned it. But he abandoned everything else in life so whats different? The NFL didnt leave him, he left the NFL (via self sabotage). Im a big Johnny fan. Nothing would make me happier than to see him sober, helping people, and living a happy life.
@@Keith_Mikell I see what you’re saying. Appreciate the insight.

Anything with Manziel I'm all for
Why did this not come out last month during mental health month? Love it still though. CHECK ON YOUR STRONG FRIENDS! 🖤🐺
Underrated comment
Love this show! As for Johnny Football, he looks so uncomfortable in his own skin (I know the feeling) I hope he can find a sense of peace & calmness in his life, cause life is hell without it 🙏
that Sam Houston ST TD teabag celebration was legendary
As an Alabama fan what Jonny did when he came to Bryant Denny in 2012 was nothing less than amazing I was floored the whole game and impressed at the natural talent this kid had at the time and it felt completely different from the Tennessee loss recently with hendon hooker….I’ll never forget it the atmosphere in that stadium was just different it didn’t make me mad one bit which wasn’t normal probably because Bama played the most mentally sound game they could’ve, had receivers locked down good blitzes they beat blocks all day but time after time Johnny extended the play over and over again and from that day even being a Bama fan my whole life Johnny football was my favorite player in the history of all the football players ever!!! I will always support Johnny he’s a man’s man who can fit it on the river with the boys and bunch of beers or a cocktail party in LA Johnny is the best and he fits in anywhere something tells me he might be a great Head coach one day
Hell yea! Respect! Gigem! Roll Tide!
Weoooo Chandler now manziel let’s go boys
Love these bros!!
Damn GOOD JOB BOYS!!!! WOW!!! Didnt expect a fuckn AMAZING pod!!!
No disrespect but we came for Johnny Manziel not the other guy....
Package deal like Manziel’s fake IDs
Checkout his music loser
Good for Johnny! long live Johnny Football!
Wow this really changed my perspective of Johnny. And congrats Taylor, y'all did get Julio 😳
Two of my favorite podcasts! Let’s go baby!
Like Mike was saying about moving all the time - I was in Colorado springs at a bar with this girl , she's hammered drunk and wanders off while I go to smoke , she comes back with this old couple and we start chatting , the old guy suddenly asks you guys wanna go smoke a bowl ? Of course let's go . He says alright cool let me pull up the Maybach and y'all hop in . Long story short he tells me the big reason he thinks he made his life the way it is was because he moved every two years and that lit a fire under his ass every time he landed somewhere new . It's 100% true .
Not far fetched.. Anytime you move, you get to start over and feel fresh.
Mike who?
Sheeeesh. Maybe I’ll try it.
The fact his best game was against us too 🥲🤣🤣 Titan tf up!! Finally got the goat on here
This the only podcast to make their guests do ad reads
Been crushing it lately
Great pod boys!! Let's sign Julio Jrob!! Great insight from the gang
Homie in the blue hat is on one 😂
Am I the only one skipping thru the vid anytime the dude on the left talks lmfao
Guy is a massive LA tool. Probably go to jail in the future for tax evasion or some ponzi scheme
Who is he? I thought he would talk to add into Johnny's story but he has his whole own thing going lol
I was just thinking this
I came to the comments to see if anyone else was annoyed with the guy on the left like I was lol
I need a comment that points out when he speaks lol
The boys are selling out holy shit lmaooooo this interview got more ads than the super bowl
Fast forwarded through all of mikes speaking parts
Cool story bro

Mike doesn’t seem like it
@@phillyfan3942 go watch the ynk podcast. Change ya life
@@jacob14721472 most of us do watch it. If you can’t read body language or understand behavior, you’d miss the undertones from mike. But most of us, read jealousy. He literally talks about how he wanted to be Johnny and was jealous of his life. Read what mike is saying and don’t just listen to the similarities between the two and you. There’s more going on here.
@@SeanBeckwith92 I can read his body language and understand where you’re coming from 100% no need to try and discredit my ability to see or read jealousy or assume that mike and I have anything in common. We don’t actually. As a “professional” water boarder according to your RUclips page you should understand that many people look up to professionals and would like the light that they’re in. Never did he once say that Johnny didn’t deserve what he had or that he deserved it more than him. Yes he was jealous of the life he lived. Getting drunk, hanging out with good looking girls, drugs, parties and celebrities is what majority of guys between the ages 16-25 want and admire. Read what mike is saying and try to not bringing your I deserve this more than someone else mindset into it.
@@jacob14721472 I don’t think I was discrediting you- although I can see you took offense by you relating a hobby of mine to my preliminary readings. You obviously don’t understand individuals have jobs other than hobbies: this is my job. A behavioral analyst. And maybe you are right- but mike is 32 years old and every time Ball Never Lies podcast comes out, there is always a relation factor between his past and Johnny’s. It’s as if he is eluding that Johnny pissed his athletic opportunity away and mike has an undertone that he wishes he was in that position. Along with this, other podcasts have continued this trend of jealousy. It’s an interesting watch.
Love the show Compton Taylor much love go Huskers and Hawks

I am not hating on Manziel, but this interview gave me bad vibes. Guys like this Mike dude are the kinds of guys that are in your life when you are circling the drain. They are all the same - repeat pseudo-spiritual BS, lack self-awareness (first 7 minutes of interview he talked the entire time), talking about some plan to make money. If you're over 30 and lived anywhere near Hollywood, you know the type. I hope I'm wrong and I hope they are both healthy. If I'm not wrong, I hope they get healthy.
These guys are living life and having fun. What are you doing? Going to work? Raising a family? Johnny is doing just fine, trust me.
Johnny's chill, but yeah that mike guy sucks. I won't watch their pod cause he's on it
@@jert5381 You know things are going well for you when your fan boys have to resort to "What? Do you like pay your bills and have a job? Loser!" Yep, I work and have a job. If that discredits my opinion to you, I think you might be circling that same drain.
@@ryanarego688 Yeah, the single most annoying in the world is listening to some coke head rambling about coke head shit. So I'm not surprised Mike is hard to listen to. Johnny's stories were interesting.
Yeah that Mike is Slimy trying to get the last bit of Johnny football out of him.
Kerrville Texas in Tha House ! Trust me if u met Johnny u wld love him. Everybody loves him down here. Lol at the Greg Robinson part. He also got drafted by the Padres n is a great golfer. Johnny's a dark horse
we going to ignore they ripped off Ball Dont Lie from Rasheed Wallace? tough look
Listening Johnny squander his career is equally enlightening as it is difficult. However, that doesn’t compare to listening to Johnny’s groupie in the bus. Great episode tho
Best episode to date!

Johnny’s dad was my boss during his a&m days very cool stuff. Sold a truck Johnny drove and the famous Mercedes that was keyed on campus was on our lot as well
Now he drives a beat up jeep with a snorkel.
Hey mike can u do me a favor
Fun fact. Ryan Tannehill was the QB @ Texas A&M during Manziel Freshman year.
I love Johnny Football
Please get rid of the mid interview ads, ruins the flow of the convo, do them after the entire show and plug them in if needed
LOVE THE POD
Agreed, the ads in the middle are the worst part about Bussin
advertising companies pay for mid-roll ads, not at the end
I Think The Ad Reads Are Funny Mid Pod. It’s What Makes Bussin, Bussin. 🤷🏻♂️💯
@@chessbrah still do em, just use pre-recorded. Think they think we enjoy it but not really.
The blockfolio ad was funny!
He's the best college quarterback I've ever seen. NFL's a different game. Limitations get exposed, almost always at some point. At the moment, I can't think of honest 6ft or shorter QBs who aren't physically dinged up or quickly slowing down. He's still in his 20's, still has his health and other ambitions.
Yeah him in Vick were best QBs and Lamar that I've seen
I think what happened to Johnny was he loved being the man, and hated when he wasn't. And he's right about not loving it as much as you thought. He had the world expected out of him when he got to the next level. It takes a special kind of love to do something 10-12 hours a day for a 60 min game you may play 30 of 16-20 times a year so basically if he plays exactly 30 minutes each game youre putting 160-240 hours just during regular season for something that's going to yield at MOST 8-10 hours. The hours of preparation is solely during season. That's not counting off season at all. I thought I loved golf until I started doing what it takes to be good and once I realized what it took, I realized I didn't love it like I thought so I can relate. The only difference is I'm nobody even close to famous and all of Johnny's was public information. When you're the man it's easy to love. When things get rough, it's not easy. He sounds like he's accepted everything though and is in a good spot. He's still set for life. Probably still got 8 figures in the bank and he's got something making him money.
And he also comes from money. His family was and is in the oil business so he’s always going to be good I think he made 20-30 mill in the league as well.
What was the name of the book that they were talking about?
I’m 1 second into the podcast and I’m upset that they let Manziel bring his crony with him. It should have been only Manziel and y’all two. Y’all made a mistake and I pray for an apology. No one cares about that guy. We want to hear the unwritten memoirs of the electric Johnny Football.
Tell us how you really feel lol
