For Riddler's Revenge, since Magic Mountain already has a floorless, I would give it the new Surf trains that Pipeline has. I think that would be an awesome experience, they look very open and comfortable compared to the bulky, clunky B&M Standup trains.
Just give Riddlers some updated restraints, mainly make the shoulders restraints either vest restraints or soft and make the bike seat have some extra padding and boom it’s more comfortable
I think Goldrusher needs new trains with restraints that can lower the height requirement to at least 42". It's already a ride that never had a wait, it's already labeled a family coaster, so expanding the people able to ride it would be fantastic.
Great video, one thing I'd change across the board is probably theming, Scream and Batman are the worst offenders theming wise, even just some landscaping would make it look better, similar to Medusa and other Batman clones. That being said, my favorites are definetly a coin flip between TC and Viper, but I'm starting to lean towards Viper
X2 is without a doubt my #1 ride! As far as the final raven turn goes u honestly just gotta know how to keep ur head in the right place & you'd be fine...don't judge the ride so negatively based on 1 last element. Hope u can ride Tatsu soon! It's an AMAZING coaster.
I love X2. You definitely need to ride defensively during that kast raven turn. I do wish they would have put in another crazy ass element instead of that last raven turn.
A lot of these ideas are actually pretty unrealistic though. Like... new trains for coasters with a long out of business manufacturer, fully re-designing sections of layouts, etc. Also, Full Throttle couldn't run two trains without the reversing section in the middle because it acts as a block section between the launch and the main brake.
I love the respect for the classics- Gold Rusher, Revolution, Ninja, and Viper are perfectly imperfect and have stood the test of time. SFMM was my home park and growing up, I went at least twice a month.
6:02 exactly I’ve ridden scream and I really don’t have a problem with it. I actually enjoyed it and was able to eliminate headbanging by keeping my head forward
I have liked Viper since it opened. It was my favorite ride at the time. But dear god, the hard ass over the shoulder restraints are a headbanging machine. I would definitely ride this way more often if it had better restraints. I remember when it first opened, that u were not allowed to wear earrings. It was a headbanging machine then. The best way to ride, with your head glued to the head rest
I have to say, the Wonder Woman ride in no way hurts any part of your body and the large restraints are NEEDED. Half the ride your body is getting flung out of the seat and the only thing saving you is the seatbelt-like things in front of you. And the seatbelts don’t hurt because the don’t resist like over the shoulder restraints.
Great video! But to go with the theme, one thing I'd change about this video would be to include the noise Superman makes. :P I had to look it up. (and holy shit, it really IS loud)
A few nitpicks (ish) because I love them so much (and ive been to magic mountain well over 100 times and have thought about all of these before) for apocalypse- 100% agree with it all batman- new trains with improved restraints is very needed. One of my friends who has slightly broad shoulders couldn't ride, which hasn't happened on any other coaster he's ever been on. I also have a smaller frame myself, and theres a good inch or two of space between me and the restraints. It would be great on a ride with negative gs, but batman is made to be forceful, and the added whip on the zero g rolls throws me against my seat and back. Also, ADD VENTILATION TO THE CONNEX TUNNEL IN THE QUEUE! The whole thing is a pass-out machine, because the whole interior line is always super hot and difficult to breathe in. I've never been more excited for the fresh air of a 95 degree california day. Full Throttle- I do agree that the break kills the pacing, but everyone would be ripping on the ride for being too short if it didn't have that. its already extremely short, so i think that adding in a few layout pieces before dropping into the tunnel and getting an instant speed boost would be ideal. Gold rusher- tbh half the fun of the ride is getting thrashed around, I would like some of the chain lifts to be faster so the ride isnt as slow in the front rows. Goliath- agree with it all, but six flags mm is also a family park, and isn't set out for the insane thrill seekers who want to pass out on a coaster. Instead, I want the helix to be replaced with some small airtime hills, a few outerbanked turns, ect. before coming to a close Revolution- It's actually already renamed to the classic revolution, they just havent changed some of the signs from when it was in its emo vr phase. Ninja- agree with the lapbars, i'd like the chain lift up to the ending to be a bit earlier in the ride and there to be a bit after it (its very disappointing as it is) Riddler's- 100% agree with floorless conversion, I do also wish the ride was just a bit shorter because the extra milked rolls at the end start to get nauseating. nothing for kiddie coasters lmao Scream- I don't see the hate either, its really fun and there's never a line. I wish they added in some sort of theming, maybe a tunnel in some of the valleys or really anything to spice it up a bit. I like the interlocking corkscrews at the end, it's not super forceful and I think it's a good way to end it off. Tatsu- The whole coaster is themed around dragons, and it only makes sense to have it painted like one. I do wish they made it not as eye-burning, but I won't hate on it to the point of that being what I change. I personally wish there was a bit more coaster after the pretzel loop. We get that one very scenic turn around, but that's really it. Twisted Colossus- While racing every time would be nice, theres a few issues with it. To start, six flags mm is a very accessible park for handicapped people, and the whole process of holding gates then boarding people from separate queues plus anyone in a wheelchair or mobility aid just takes a while. The park is focused on fast operations, especially with big-named coasters like twisted, and I think that sitting there on a break run for five minutes (especially when its 100+ degrees outside) really just doesn't sound appealing. I'm fine with not racing a few times, it just makes it more special when you do race. Viper- agree on lapbars, however viper always has really fast operations and I wish they sent those fast ride ops to full throttle instead of a coaster that not many people ride. West Coast- I want those comfort collars GONE! If I don't hold mine down, I'll get chopped in the neck at every possible opportunity, and it really ruins the ride. If they want to keep it there for some reason, I wish they would turn them into something like what wonder woman has with the auto-tightening straps. Wonder Woman- I actually don't have a problem with the restraints in this coaster, although I wish the forced manspreading with the seats wasn't as prominent. My issue is that you get a very different ride depending on what train you're in and where you are on the train. The back is my favorite, but due to the rushed seating, you don't have a chance to pick. I've also felt a really big difference based on which train I'm on. Some are smoother than others, and some are rougher, but the smoother ones deliver better airtime and the rougher ones deliver better positive Gs. It's difficult to have a ride that feels the same on Wonder Woman, so it gets extra points in my book. X2- fixing the seat rotation on the raven turn is insanely important. My legs slam on my seat, my head slams, its just overall a bad experience there. Some of the restraints are a bit messed up, as well. I rode once where my restraints didn't even fully touch me, and it was 100% the worst ride I've ever been on. Every single valley would slightly rock back and forth, but with the speed, it would fling me up against my restraints and then shove me back down into my seat multiple times in a few seconds. I would go on it again a few trips later, however, and my restraints would be tight and I would have a great ride. It's very hit or miss based on the train. I wouldn't be surprised if that ride actually bruised a rib of mine, though. The ride is also down a lot, but with all the specifics of it, I understand. IMPORTANT FOR RIDING X2: If you're riding alone, SIT ON THE INSIDE! You get all the intensity and the action of the ride with a much smaller amount of shaking. It's an incredible experience if you get a good ride. I would also aim for more towards the front of the train, as there is only pain that lies in the back (although being whipped over the first drop into a face-down position is something i think everyone should experience at least once, it is absolutely terrifying) overall good video, these are just nitpicks from someone who has been on all of these rides more times than I can count.
I love X2, but the gear/tooth mechanism that rotates the seats needs to be refined. I think worn teeth create the slack that bounced the seats as they rotate. Refining this mechanism would GREATLY improve htis ride. Have the onboard soundtrack and flame effects working would also bring this experience back to its glory. Superman needs to reach near the full height of the tower. And hey, let's give this a Dragster treament and add a top hat to the layout making it a complete circuit! I'd add another 1000' to Full Throttle. Think how cool it would be if it didn't break so soon coming over the loop and had a few more elements over the midway! Great video!
Yea this is my biggest complaint. Favorite ride in the park but the rotation is just so floppy. Like you can see riders legs flopping going over the first drop. I'm not sure if it's due to the ratchet mechanism, or somehow due to the unsmoothness of each car pulling on each other during the layout. Probably the first idea.
Of course as an Arrow simp, I pray they don’t make a mistake a demolish viper. The layout is so fun! It just needs a COMPLETE re-tracking from S&S, updated theme and boom. Good as new.
Earned my like, lost it to adding the helix on scream, earned it back with X2 being painful. So many enthusiasts don't want to admit X2's flaws. As for TC being my favorite coaster, I absolutely wish they added a block section before the second chain lift. Then it wont be necessary to have 2 different speeds on the chain lifts.
Same Here. Although a bit darker green color to match the Trees and blend in to the surrounding area, would have been pretty Sweet as well. Actually, a darker Orange Track like a Burnt Orange or Rustic/ Sienna Red would really been sweet as well. 😎🌴👍
Riddler’s has always been one of my favorites because of the layout, and I’ve figured out how to not let the restraints get me in the wrong way. Although the standing is fun to me, I can see how maybe giving it normal sit-down trains would be a good solution (since Scream is already floorless and I want to keep it around)
Btw For Stand Up Coasters Just Staple Yourself (PUT IT DOWN AS FAR AS IT CAN GO) And Put Your Head Forward Its Still A Little Uncomfortable But It Won't Crush Your Balls
i went on X2 4 times yesterday. The front is smoother then the back but less intense and the inside seats are smoother then the outside seats. Best Coaster in the park by far when it comes to intensity
I don't make videos so I'll put what I would do to improve the coasters of my home park Flamingo Land. SIK: Tbh I don't know what to do with Sik it is a great ride that doesn't need anything atm. Mumbo Jumbo: Get rid of the shoulder bars, they cause a really bad jolt in the final turnaround and not the comfiest for people with wider shoulders. Velocity: I personally think Velocity is a good ride that doesn't need anything changing to it. Kumali: Although I didn't ride it from what I've heard it is a smoother ride than most SLC's that might just different restraints. Hero: I enjoyed Hero but still think it is rough, just remove it and get another compact ride. Runaway Mine Train: It is a tiny kiddie coaster that can bearly fit an adult and child, along with the parks other kiddie rides they should all be removed and replaced. ZOOOM!: A decent family suspended coaster that is to short and slow to get any proper swing along with small cars.
I got a mild concussion on X2 when i was there last July. I was even *ready* for the jankieness. It was so intense innthe back car i couldnt even hold my head back against the headrest. Snapped forward and back quicker than i could spit and i saw some serious stars. Luckily, with concussions you dont feel all of the effects right away so it didnt totally ruin my day, but the next day or the day after i was dizzy and nauseous and all that concussion fun stuff. Thankfully it wore off in 24 hours.
Come on, magic mountain has at least three top tier coasters. Sure, some of them could be better, but there are some older, more historical rides too, such as revolution. I wouldn’t say they prefer quantity over quality, and my home park is sfne.
Ninja should ditch the trains all together and go with the floorless swinging trains like on Vampire at Chessington. Would be an awesome ride through the terrain with your feet dangling over the trees and water.
Lol they did make Superman quieter. Also Riddler has never hurt me, neither has Georgia Scorcher or Green Lantern. Only Vortex, just an old B&M thing, Firebird and Rougarou did the same but not anywhere near as bad. Headbanging. X2 only does the head slam thing in certain rows. It's rough but the front and back cars are far more tolerable even alone on the outside seat. The 1st 2 or 3 rows are not bad.
Goliath with a steeper, faster drop aswell as the midcourse not breaking your neck would be great. Despite the fact that at the speed youd take that one helix I think everyone in the train would actually die lmao
Sadly Viper cannot possibly remove its OTSRs in favor of lapbars because Arrow builds its loops too tightly together, meaning a guest can have their arm broken or worse if they are waving their arms around as they enter or exit a loop
I feel like they could go for the B&M style vest restraint/OOTS restraint system they have eon their dive coasters. It would eliminate any head banging while still keeping people safe
the only 2 things that they had to do to fix FT is to move the brakes after the drop and mayby add a ejector hill into the brake and make the 2nd launch a booster instead of a tripple launch
Fave ride at MM was easily Twisted Colossus but I went before Wonder Woman was built. I had the same experience on X2 as you did, terrible ride but gave it a second try and it was worse lol. Everyone else on the ride looked miserable getting off too. Meanwhile TC delighted that day and I got two duelling rides to finish my day!
I haven't been to magic mountain sadly, but I think out of all these the ones I'd want to ride most are probably the wonderwoman one or the scream. They look super fun to me.
I was just there a few weeks ago. And I hadn't been in like 15 years. X2 is a disaster. It used to be so smooth, those flips were like butter in like 2008. Now its completely unrideable. It's not the track at all. They aren't maintaining the cars anymore. Anybody familiar with the park knows you don't go on Viper due to the real risk of concussion. Apocalypse used to be called Terminator Salvation The Ride. The theming was amazing. But the movie studio pulled the rights from Six Flags (they wanted more money and Six Flags didn't have it). I rode Goliath without that brake run. The Gs can make you black out. They put it in after getting sued for a girl having an aneurism on the ride. Tatsu and Wonder Woman are in my opinion the best rides in the park right now.
I HAD A BLAST THIS THURSDAY AT MM. then the next day i woke up and couldnt walk, got beat up so bad but that's probably because I did 10 coasters!!! no lines baby!! i was incredibly impressed with how well designed twisted colossus was, and i was so unimpressed with the idiot that designed X2! id rather just bolt a spinning office chair to a flailing firehose and hope for the best. wonder woman was incredible but the harness is simply not made for normal 6'1" 210lbs dudes. my favs were twisted colossus, riddler, tatsu, superman, west coast racers and goliath. being in the front row really helped maintain my equilibrium with all of those
You realize X2 is over 20 years old... mighty disrespectful. You can not like the ride but it is in fact an amazing innovation that was far ahead of its time. The perfected version is one of the best coasters in the world.
X2s final transition requires you lift your head as much as possible or you’ll have a splitting headache the rest for your day, most needed ! Also probably more controversial, get rid of riddlers revenge not sure why anyone enjoys that ride. I always skip it.
I think Ninja would benefit from over-the-shoulder lapbars and floorless trains from Vekoma. Also, come to think of it, making Riddler a floorless and relocating Scream to another park is quite a good idea.
I think to improve Ninja, you replace the trains with the brend new s&s inverted family trains. The openess of those trains combined with the lap bar will really add to the spirit of the ride
I would love to have a a steeper drop on Goliath, another element on Full Throttle (to eliminate the need for a braked drop), a straight drop on Scream (like Medusa or Rougarou) and grass or rocks underneath the ride.
Tbh I don’t think you know enough about magic mountain and the coasters to make this video. I didn’t agree with a lot of what you said and actually felt like you left A LOT on the table that you could have actually mentioned. Right off the bat, apocalypse - you didn’t even mention the theming it had for the movie, Terminator Salvation back in the day. Sorry but this was a lack luster video that honestly had potential for some great mentions and discussions - if only you knew more about the park and rides. Do more DD next time.
Fun Fact: Raging Bull @SFGAm has a 65° drop while Goliath @SFMM has a 61° drop. Yet Raging Bull is praised for its ejector-airtime in the back row on that drop, and Goliath has no airtime.
The difference has got to be mostly because Raging Bull's pre-drop because the airtime over Raging Bull's first drop is world class and Goliath's is forgettable.

You advocate putting a holding brake on TC and dont mind it on WCR so is it really that big of a deal compared to undercutting what could be one of the best airtime moments in the country?! Objectively Ninja is not a fun ride, sure its historic but that land could be used for a truly special ride. i will continue to be on the side of Ninja needs to go before Viper! Speaking of Viper I think there's a good chance Vekoma can breathe some new life in it. I get why stand up coasters are meh but Riddler's is easily the best one. I've never had a problem getting into a comfortable position and I'm not alone. There's 0 chance they'd put floorless trains on, even if Scream wasn't there. I want no changes on X2, I like that its too much for some. More rides for me! Obviously its my favorite ride. Lastly I would love for them to bring back Deja Vu!
REVOLUTION: I always Hated and still to this day, Hate how the ride comes to a near total Stop upon entering through the Middle of the Loop. If there was anyway to get rid of that after the Tunnel, more people would ride this CLASSIC Coaster. Still in my TOP 5 because I Love Hills on any Coaster. 😎🌴👍
I think they should remove Scream, and send that to either The Great Escape, Frontier City, or Darian Lake, where they would really enjoy and could use a coaster like that! Then Add floorless trains to Green Lantern. I think that would improve things. Or maybe if the new surf coaster train prove comfortable, replace the trains with those

I recently came here with my cousin who was visiting from out of state, he said Scream was his favorite, with the new Wonder Woman at a close second.
This gave me a good laugh lol, shame missed tatsu though, that pretzel loop is insanely intense

Twisted Colossus- While racing every time would be nice, theres a few issues with it. To start, six flags mm is a very accessible park for handicapped people, and the whole process of holding gates then boarding people from separate queues plus anyone in a wheelchair or mobility aid just takes a while. The park is focused on fast operations, especially with big-named coasters like twisted, and I think that sitting there on a break run for five minutes (especially when its 100+ degrees outside) really just doesn't sound appealing. I'm fine with not racing a few times, it just makes it more special when you do race.
Viper- agree on lapbars, however viper always has really fast operations and I wish they sent those fast ride ops to full throttle instead of a coaster that not many people ride.
West Coast- I want those comfort collars GONE! If I don't hold mine down, I'll get chopped in the neck at every possible opportunity, and it really ruins the ride. If they want to keep it there for some reason, I wish they would turn them into something like what wonder woman has with the auto-tightening straps.
Wonder Woman- I actually don't have a problem with the restraints in this coaster, although I wish the forced manspreading with the seats wasn't as prominent. My issue is that you get a very different ride depending on what train you're in and where you are on the train. The back is my favorite, but due to the rushed seating, you don't have a chance to pick. I've also felt a really big difference based on which train I'm on. Some are smoother than others, and some are rougher, but the smoother ones deliver better airtime and the rougher ones deliver better positive Gs. It's difficult to have a ride that feels the same on Wonder Woman, so it gets extra points in my book.
X2- fixing the seat rotation on the raven turn is insanely important. My legs slam on my seat, my head slams, its just overall a bad experience there. Some of the restraints are a bit messed up, as well. I rode once where my restraints didn't even fully touch me, and it was 100% the worst ride I've ever been on. Every single valley would slightly rock back and forth, but with the speed, it would fling me up against my restraints and then shove me back down into my seat multiple times in a few seconds. I would go on it again a few trips later, however, and my restraints would be tight and I would have a great ride. It's very hit or miss based on the train. I wouldn't be surprised if that ride actually bruised a rib of mine, though. The ride is also down a lot, but with all the specifics of it, I understand.
IMPORTANT FOR RIDING X2: If you're riding alone, SIT ON THE INSIDE! You get all the intensity and the action of the ride with a much smaller amount of shaking. It's an incredible experience if you get a good ride. I would also aim for more towards the front of the train, as there is only pain that lies in the back (although being whipped over the first drop into a face-down position is something i think everyone should experience at least once, it is absolutely terrifying)
overall good video, these are just nitpicks from someone who has been on all of these rides more times than I can count.
I love X2, but the gear/tooth mechanism that rotates the seats needs to be refined. I think worn teeth create the slack that bounced the seats as they rotate. Refining this mechanism would GREATLY improve htis ride. Have the onboard soundtrack and flame effects working would also bring this experience back to its glory.
Superman needs to reach near the full height of the tower. And hey, let's give this a Dragster treament and add a top hat to the layout making it a complete circuit!
I'd add another 1000' to Full Throttle. Think how cool it would be if it didn't break so soon coming over the loop and had a few more elements over the midway! Great video!

Yea this is my biggest complaint. Favorite ride in the park but the rotation is just so floppy. Like you can see riders legs flopping going over the first drop. I'm not sure if it's due to the ratchet mechanism, or somehow due to the unsmoothness of each car pulling on each other during the layout. Probably the first idea.
Tatsu is an awesome ride as well. Sucks u missed riding it. The pretzel loop is freaking crazy !!

Of course as an Arrow simp, I pray they don’t make a mistake a demolish viper. The layout is so fun! It just needs a COMPLETE re-tracking from S&S, updated theme and boom. Good as new.
my favourite coaster at magic mountain is actually viper being a tall guest (6’2) at 14 i don’t get bothered by head banging
Earned my like, lost it to adding the helix on scream, earned it back with X2 being painful. So many enthusiasts don't want to admit X2's flaws.
As for TC being my favorite coaster, I absolutely wish they added a block section before the second chain lift. Then it wont be necessary to have 2 different speeds on the chain lifts.
I hated the idea of tatsu being painted like that but when I saw it finished in person my god it was beautiful.
Same Here. Although a bit darker green color to match the Trees and blend in to the surrounding area, would have been pretty Sweet as well.
Actually, a darker Orange Track like a Burnt Orange or Rustic/ Sienna Red would really been sweet as well. 😎🌴👍

Riddler’s has always been one of my favorites because of the layout, and I’ve figured out how to not let the restraints get me in the wrong way. Although the standing is fun to me, I can see how maybe giving it normal sit-down trains would be a good solution (since Scream is already floorless and I want to keep it around)
It literally took me one ride to figure out the restraints. Standing is so overblown as a problem.

i went on X2 4 times yesterday. The front is smoother then the back but less intense and the inside seats are smoother then the outside seats. Best Coaster in the park by far when it comes to intensity
You can also replace Viper trains with the Vekoma vest, like what they did on Gold Coaster at Dreamworld
Did you ride X2 on the outside seat? Because that will ruin the ride imo. Honestly back row inside seat on X2 is my number 1 coaster
I don't make videos so I'll put what I would do to improve the coasters of my home park Flamingo Land.
SIK: Tbh I don't know what to do with Sik it is a great ride that doesn't need anything atm.
Mumbo Jumbo: Get rid of the shoulder bars, they cause a really bad jolt in the final turnaround and not the comfiest for people with wider shoulders.
Velocity: I personally think Velocity is a good ride that doesn't need anything changing to it.
Kumali: Although I didn't ride it from what I've heard it is a smoother ride than most SLC's that might just different restraints.
Hero: I enjoyed Hero but still think it is rough, just remove it and get another compact ride.
Runaway Mine Train: It is a tiny kiddie coaster that can bearly fit an adult and child, along with the parks other kiddie rides they should all be removed and replaced.
ZOOOM!: A decent family suspended coaster that is to short and slow to get any proper swing along with small cars.
I got a mild concussion on X2 when i was there last July. I was even *ready* for the jankieness. It was so intense innthe back car i couldnt even hold my head back against the headrest. Snapped forward and back quicker than i could spit and i saw some serious stars. Luckily, with concussions you dont feel all of the effects right away so it didnt totally ruin my day, but the next day or the day after i was dizzy and nauseous and all that concussion fun stuff. Thankfully it wore off in 24 hours.

Come on, magic mountain has at least three top tier coasters. Sure, some of them could be better, but there are some older, more historical rides too, such as revolution. I wouldn’t say they prefer quantity over quality, and my home park is sfne.
On Full Throttle I would have added an extra helix after the drop.

Lol they did make Superman quieter. Also Riddler has never hurt me, neither has Georgia Scorcher or Green Lantern. Only Vortex, just an old B&M thing, Firebird and Rougarou did the same but not anywhere near as bad. Headbanging. X2 only does the head slam thing in certain rows. It's rough but the front and back cars are far more tolerable even alone on the outside seat. The 1st 2 or 3 rows are not bad.
On full throttle. That backwards part was the best. I didn't know that was what was going to happen!

Sadly Viper cannot possibly remove its OTSRs in favor of lapbars because Arrow builds its loops too tightly together, meaning a guest can have their arm broken or worse if they are waving their arms around as they enter or exit a loop
I feel like they could go for the B&M style vest restraint/OOTS restraint system they have eon their dive coasters. It would eliminate any head banging while still keeping people safe

the only 2 things that they had to do to fix FT is to move the brakes after the drop and mayby add a ejector hill into the brake and make the 2nd launch a booster instead of a tripple launch
Fave ride at MM was easily Twisted Colossus but I went before Wonder Woman was built. I had the same experience on X2 as you did, terrible ride but gave it a second try and it was worse lol. Everyone else on the ride looked miserable getting off too. Meanwhile TC delighted that day and I got two duelling rides to finish my day!
I haven't been to magic mountain sadly, but I think out of all these the ones I'd want to ride most are probably the wonderwoman one or the scream. They look super fun to me.
I was just there a few weeks ago. And I hadn't been in like 15 years. X2 is a disaster. It used to be so smooth, those flips were like butter in like 2008. Now its completely unrideable. It's not the track at all. They aren't maintaining the cars anymore. Anybody familiar with the park knows you don't go on Viper due to the real risk of concussion. Apocalypse used to be called Terminator Salvation The Ride. The theming was amazing. But the movie studio pulled the rights from Six Flags (they wanted more money and Six Flags didn't have it). I rode Goliath without that brake run. The Gs can make you black out. They put it in after getting sued for a girl having an aneurism on the ride. Tatsu and Wonder Woman are in my opinion the best rides in the park right now.
I HAD A BLAST THIS THURSDAY AT MM. then the next day i woke up and couldnt walk, got beat up so bad but that's probably because I did 10 coasters!!! no lines baby!! i was incredibly impressed with how well designed twisted colossus was, and i was so unimpressed with the idiot that designed X2! id rather just bolt a spinning office chair to a flailing firehose and hope for the best. wonder woman was incredible but the harness is simply not made for normal 6'1" 210lbs dudes. my favs were twisted colossus, riddler, tatsu, superman, west coast racers and goliath. being in the front row really helped maintain my equilibrium with all of those
You realize X2 is over 20 years old... mighty disrespectful. You can not like the ride but it is in fact an amazing innovation that was far ahead of its time. The perfected version is one of the best coasters in the world.
You do realize the same man designed X2 and Twisted Colossus.....
X2s final transition requires you lift your head as much as possible or you’ll have a splitting headache the rest for your day, most needed !
Also probably more controversial, get rid of riddlers revenge not sure why anyone enjoys that ride. I always skip it.
I think Ninja would benefit from over-the-shoulder lapbars and floorless trains from Vekoma.
Also, come to think of it, making Riddler a floorless and relocating Scream to another park is quite a good idea.
I think a lot of the smaller parks throughout the six flags chain would have benefited from Scream way more than Magic Mountain.

I think to improve Ninja, you replace the trains with the brend new s&s inverted family trains. The openess of those trains combined with the lap bar will really add to the spirit of the ride
I would love to have a a steeper drop on Goliath, another element on Full Throttle (to eliminate the need for a braked drop), a straight drop on Scream (like Medusa or Rougarou) and grass or rocks underneath the ride.
On VIPER, get New trains or Restraints. Definitely New restraints.
id give riddlers some sit down trains such as what kumba and hulk have because if scream already being floorless
Tbh I don’t think you know enough about magic mountain and the coasters to make this video. I didn’t agree with a lot of what you said and actually felt like you left A LOT on the table that you could have actually mentioned. Right off the bat, apocalypse - you didn’t even mention the theming it had for the movie, Terminator Salvation back in the day. Sorry but this was a lack luster video that honestly had potential for some great mentions and discussions - if only you knew more about the park and rides. Do more DD next time.
Yes you need the complete stop on Goliath. You will litterally black out with out the complete stop.
Fun Fact:
Raging Bull @SFGAm has a 65° drop while Goliath @SFMM has a 61° drop.
Yet Raging Bull is praised for its ejector-airtime in the back row on that drop, and Goliath has no airtime.
The difference has got to be mostly because Raging Bull's pre-drop because the airtime over Raging Bull's first drop is world class and Goliath's is forgettable.
Partly because Goliath slows down to a fucking CRAWL at the top. Like they completely turn off the lift hill so you rely on the wind to push you over lmao.

Oh boy I have a lot of disagreements! First off, ur saying youd rather take out full throttle's middle stop instead pushing the final brakes back? I like the roll into the darkness before being shot out. You advocate putting a holding brake on TC and dont mind it on WCR so is it really that big of a deal compared to undercutting what could be one of the best airtime moments in the country?! Objectively Ninja is not a fun ride, sure its historic but that land could be used for a truly special ride. i will continue to be on the side of Ninja needs to go before Viper! Speaking of Viper I think there's a good chance Vekoma can breathe some new life in it. I get why stand up coasters are meh but Riddler's is easily the best one. I've never had a problem getting into a comfortable position and I'm not alone. There's 0 chance they'd put floorless trains on, even if Scream wasn't there. I want no changes on X2, I like that its too much for some. More rides for me! Obviously its my favorite ride. Lastly I would love for them to bring back Deja Vu!

REVOLUTION: I always Hated and still to this day, Hate how the ride comes to a near total Stop upon entering through the Middle of the Loop.
If there was anyway to get rid of that after the Tunnel, more people would ride this CLASSIC Coaster.

I think they should remove Scream, and send that to either The Great Escape, Frontier City, or Darian Lake, where they would really enjoy and could use a coaster like that! Then Add floorless trains to Green Lantern. I think that would improve things. Or maybe if the new surf coaster train prove comfortable, replace the trains with those
