- Korkers designs, develops and distributes all terrain footwear featuring patented adaptable traction so fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts can optimize their traction performance for every terrain and weather condition both in and out of the water.
The Korkers brand was born over 50 years ago on the rugged and treacherous riverbanks of the Rogue River near Grants Pass, Oregon. Made by hand, using scrap rubber, nylon cord, and carbide spikes, Korkers "River Cleats" were created in the basement of Korkers founder, Sherman Smith.

Great honest review! Thanks Brian for what you do👍
Thanks for watching.
We'll make sure he reads this.
I bought my Korkers last year with the Boa system. I fish a lot and I love them. I wore the aluminum bar soles the entire season and the start of this season and two of the bars came undone. The grip well, but I only got a season out of them. Now I will be wearing the felt soles that came with the boot as well, so we will see. I bought the Vibram soles to replace the aluminum bar soles.
A. McRea If you bought them from us, send them back and we’ll send you a new pair. That shouldn’t happen. Or check with where you bought them and get them replaced.
@@Madriveroutfitters Hi Thanks for the fast reply. Yeah I was surprised. I bought them from a shop here on the Farmington River in CT. I don't know if they would back them. So not worth the hassle. But thank you so much for standing by your shop. I am retiring south of Jackson Wyo. How far are you all from Yellowstone? I would like to check out your shop this summer. I'll be staying in Gardiner. Best Regards!
A. McRea 1,665 miles from Yellowstone to be exact. We are in Columbus, Ohio.
@@carlmoeller56 Look up my Cousin "The Wandering Angler" if you need a guide in Jackson Hole. His name is Mark Titre. Awesome guide, awesome guy.
Just bought the new river ops! Can't wait to get my simms waders in
Thanks for watching and thanks for the support!
Thanks ! You are good!
Thanks for watching.
I have high arches and an incredibly wide foot. Do these come in wide varieties?
Dizzy_Arsenal No they don’t. Only one width and whole sizes.
I have heard this little thing on the heel, where you secure/attach sole, can rip off during trekking through difficult terrain. Is this really probable, and if so what then?
Haven't seen that happen with the latest version that is currently available.
So there aren't any Korkers dealers near me...that being said how do they compare in size to Simms? I only ask because Simms are easily accessible, I'm a size 13 in Simms, would it be similar?
Korkers sizing is right there with Simms. Size 13 will work if it does with Simms.
Thanks for checking with us.

I wear 10 1/2 in boots so do you think I should buy size 11 to compensate for the neoprene bootie or do they run bigger on the Dark Horse?
Send that question over to the shop or give them a call. They will be happy to help. Thanks.
I wear a 12 boot in most companies. With my cabela's breathable waders(with neoprene footies) I had to go up to size 15 in order to be able to move my toes, and have them straight
Thanks for the great reviews. I fell for the "felt is bad" story and have spent WAY too much that slip way more than I like. I have a new pair of Darkhorse felt and since I:ve had two knee replacements my number one concern in a wading boot is stability and non-slipping. I have a set of grip studs, is there any reason that you've heard for not putting them on than stream bed noise. Thanks very much, I enjoy all your videos, keep up the good work !
Thanks for watching and feel free to contact the folks at the shop with any questions!

I have a pair of Korkers boots I bought in 1999-2000 from MRO. I put the "Auqua-Stealth" sole on them, made by 5.10 and they were awesome - until they werent, LOL! They did last about 15 years, but over the last 5 years, the way the sole attaches has completely come off, causing me to have to velcro, duct tape, glue the sole on - which are all temporary fixes. Recently the entire sole has come off - I would say I got my money's worth from thoe old Korkers 7500 style boots. I will be buying a new pair - Terror Ridge or Buckskin model and hope hope I can get a good life out of them. The new boots look to be far superior to the old boots.
Good life of a boot there. That's amazing. The new boots are in fact far superior. Let us know if we can help with a new pair.
Christmas list with a link to your store!
huntzz21I have 4 different pair of Korkers boots in my home. They are great and I use the heck out of them. I live in my Darkhorse boots all year long. I live in Montana, how does that triple threat sole do on rivers and creeks full of snot rock?1 second ago•
The Triple Threat Aluminum Bar is the best for that situation. You'll feel like Spiderman!!!!
I will email them today and have them send me out a pair. Thanks for the feedback.
Is there a difference between the Dark Horse and Devil Canyon Korker models?
Please contact the folks at the shop directly with any questions and they will be happy to help. That’s what they do! You can email them or give them a call. Thanks.
Would these be good in salt water surf conditions ?
Sure thing. Feel free to call the shop and chat if they can help further. Always happy to.
@@Madriveroutfitters thanks, I'm in Long Island, NY. I only fish salt water but looking into getting freshwater. Want a good pair to have for a while as I learn and hopefully travel to fish lol. Thanks again for the reply.
Do you have to wear the soles on them? Or can you just wear them without them?
They do have to have soles inserted. Feel free to call or e-mail the shop if any further questions. Thanks.
How do they fair in saltwater on the surf?
Jay Chino Rinse them after use and you’ll be fine.
@@Madriveroutfitters can you recommend some models?
Jay Chino Here you go: www.madriveroutfitters.com/m-97-korkers.aspx
BOA is the FRIKKN BOMB!!! Lacing and socks are 2 of the things that are totally un-sexy but make a HUGE difference.
Agreed. Thanks for watching.
What about hiking in them if I’m hiking in somewhere it’s nice to have a boot that doubles as a hiking boot
They do pretty well, with the rubber soles of course. Feel free to call the shop with further questions. Thanks.
@@Madriveroutfitters awesome that you guys reply to 3 year old videos Thankyou!
We reply to ALL comments. Period. Thanks though.
Hi kindly tell me korkers for saltwater thanks
Sure they do! Any further questions please contact the shop directly at admin@madriveroutfitters.com. Thanks.
how does the sizing work for waders and the boots you buy
Depends on the manufacturer but on most boots you would usually go up a size to a size and a half. You can always call us with specific questions on particular models. 614-451-0363.
On waders there is a sizing chart on each model on our website that makes it pretty easy to determine your size. www.madriveroutfitters.com/c-393-waders-and-boots.aspx
Ok thank you@@Madriveroutfitters
What's the purpose of the felt?
Emilio For better grip in the water.
Thank you.
Could I hike in/out five miles with these?
Sure!
Would these work for jetties
jlcsr 916 sure thing. With the rubber soles or studded rubber.
Will the rubber soles mark my boat deck?
Possibly, yes.
What boots are you wearing today?
You’d have to check with him. He’s not actually here. You can email him or give him a call at the shop though and he’ll be happy to help. Thanks.
