Tom, I like your style, very clear, very fast, and best of all very northern!. A problem I have with Rahdo (although he's a stand up guy) is his manic delivery style with lots of pauses and over enthusiastic 'oh wait a minute's. I think for UK gamers he's a tough watch at times. This looked and sounded like you'd prepared well and knew the game's strat deeply. Good work, keep it up, I think you have a very strong feature in this area of walkthroughs/reviews. I'm certainly looking forward to watching everything you've done and supporting after finding you today!
Rahdo gives me motion sickness, and is also a ridiculously shilling goon. I much prefer people like Tom and Ricky, as well as some German and Scandi gamers, to people like Rahdo, or those unbearable American gaming couples. Tom's down the road from me, so it's always good to support a local lad.
Great playthrough, clear and snappy, plus well played. You also shared a lot of more of the subtle decision making like the nuance of seeing lots of clay so not expecting clay buildings to fire next round.
Just bought the game and expansions, it's so hard for chapter one lol But it feels good to retry again and again Didn't watch that video yet I don't want to spoil me finding the good combinations but at the same time I want to know if people can relabily win at this game ^^
Really enjoyable video, just got the game and all the expansions and wanted to have a tutorial on how to play. You really helped me in this regard, thank you! 🙂 One quick question i have, can you use multiple times the same good/goods from the market on multiple buildings ( that have the worker or assistant ofc ) to produce ? Also what other compact similar games would you recommend. Thanks for the video !
I think a couple of times you triggered the production chain on the bakery even though it did not produce a good. My understanding is to convert goods on a building from other buildings, the building in question must still have produced a good???
slickerdrips My bad!! You were right. Watched it again and it was the event card which allowed it which I had not paid attention to. Good playthrough. I have the expansion on order and cannot wait for it!!
When building corn farms or watch towers can you pick whatever you want out of the stack or do you have to take the top one? The bloody rules are so opaque!
I gave this a try recently as my wife & I enjoyed the base version of OMG so much. I think watching the playthrough gave me a false sense of security :) I failed miserably & after a few stabs at Chapter 1, I went on BGG to see if I could find some strategy tips. As it turns out, the solo game is quite complex & very difficult to win. I think I will set this one aside until my wife & I can try the "All Inclusive" variant. That may go better? My opinion at the moment is that I am horribly bad at the solo expansion, either that or the way the events unfolded in the playthrough (enabling such a perfect VP engine builder) was a once in a lifetime occurence :)
There have definitely been some incredibly lucky games, I remember one of Feast for Odin where I just kept rolling the best possible numbers - it's never happened since, of course :D
Thank you so much for doing a video on this. All I had found were done in German. I realized that I had left out buying points at the end of the game. Which it sounds like you did $5 = 1 point?
Hallo Tom. I ve recently bought this game and today I’ve tried the solo version. But I have some questions. First of all the goal of the game. The card requests me to have 15 coins or I lose 7 shields . Have I to have all the buildings shown in the card ? Because it is improbable I can have them all... and what does it means that I lose 7 shields ... have I to remove some buildings ? It is not clear to me .... thank you so much for your videos . I am not English mother language but I try to follow you :)
cocki poki You are looking at the goal card for the competitive game. There are separate cards for the solo version. Tom shows both at the beginning of this video.
I like your video! English is not my 1st lang but i understand you very good! What's your opinion about this? It's worth the search to buy it? Never came in my country..
Thanks John! I think it adds a lot to the game, but although I haven't played it I hear Expansion to Newdale (from the same designer) takes a lot of inspiration from Oh My Goods and its expansions, maybe that is easier to get?
Looks better than just do a beat your own score solo mode but man all this work of get this card shuffle that is so much fiddling and annoying, if breaks the flow of the game for me so I'll pass Maybe with better arrangement in the beginning so you can just take from the box in advance anything to set up and just play to beat the goals is way better than the event system

Rahdo makes my anxiety go through the roof. Glad I’m not the only one.
Thanks for this playthrough! It really helps to see the game in action. It was fun seeing you make such great combos.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :)
Watch this as I play everytime so far. Not 2nd nature yet. Still not even close. Hoping for a game like you had here!
Well done. This video plus fan rules uploaded to bgg got me started. Loving look feel and mechanics so far. Of course, losing very badly...

Thank you glad you’re enjoying it despite losing 😀
It’s been so long I can’t remember if I managed it in the video now 😀
You can order it from the Lookout website. It's roughly $13 with shipping.
Do you know if the ship in Greece?

Do you know when so I could take a look? I think events can sometimes let you do that in the expansion, but it's definitely been a while :)

Your videos have helped a lot for which solo card games I'd like to get. Thanks.

@@slickerdrips those moments, when they happen, are so glorious they make all the prior losses & bad decisions worthwhile :)

Yup, 1 point for every $5 of goods still on buildings at the very end
I would really like to get my hands on the expansion, but I do not think it is coming to the States. Not a happy camper!

Thank you!! Keep going!
Please, can I move the assistent to another building paying 2 coins and can I build and hire an assistent in the same turn in solo mode?
Not for the first question.
Yes for your second question.
17:15 I think you could not activate teh production chain of the Backery, since it didn't produce that round
Thank you!
Where can i buy it?
Same thing I'm in the UK and this expansion for Oh My Goods! doesn't even exist !!
