dont know if someone pointed it out, but the katana is once per turn, not every combat encounter :P but i love the vid, it shows how to play solo pretty well :)
I have only played this once (with my 8-year old daughter) but I believe, when you're in the courtyard and reveal a zombie search card, you place the zombie in any store you want, not in the courtyard. Thanks for the fun play through.
Thanks for the feedback! How’d your daughter like it? I haven’t tried this one with any of my kids yet, there’s a lot of bits and objectives to keep track of and I’m not sure how they’d catch on. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I honestly believe they should have written out the solo rules instead of saying, just follow the co-op rules with these changes. Some of those changes overlap with the main rules and gameplay in the beginning the the rulebook.
Awesome! Excited to hear your thoughts on it! Lemme know when you get it to the table! I haven't played competitive yet, it just feels like more of a co-op game to me. Maybe one day though. :D
Hey thanks for watching! It is definitely a fun game. I'm looking forward to playing the different game styles. We've stuck with the cooperative games so far, but looking forward to some competitive action!
You are absolutely correct, I just checked the card and it is indeed once per turn. I guess I'll just pretend that she was extremely skilled in sword combat, perhaps moonlighting as a ninja when not fighting zombies. :) Thanks for the heads up on that one!
47:40 Do you need to bee in room with doors to shoot zombie in the next room? I was thinking that shooting mechanic works like move mechanic.Moving from courtyard to any room through walls only if they stick together.
I can play medium weight games and people consider this one a medium/light but I just can't wrap my head around it at all lol. I'll keep trying. The rulebook is a pain that it only explains the players vs player zombie mode so like during setup, it's kinda difficult to understand what ones i should be doing and what ones i can ignore. Tiny epic galaxies is amazing.
The rulebook definitely had a few issues for me as well - I think it was the layout more than the content. Everything was there, just seemed all over the place. Tiny Epic Galaxies is by far my absolute favorite Tiny Epic game. I could play that all the time! Thanks for watching!
Ahh, you are absolutely correct here! Nice find!! I’m going to update subtitles to show this tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up. I knew that victory was too good to be true! :)
Isn't there a zombie turn after each human character's? I think it's human 1, zombie, human 2, zombie etc. Am I wrong? Unfortunately, the rules don't specify this for solo play but in the cooperative version it is like I described.
There is not a “true” zombie turn in the solo play, you just “check for noise” and place zombies as appropriate - either 1 in each matching location if you aren’t in that type of store, or 2 in each matching location if you are in that type of store - it’s referenced in the solo rules in the back of the rulebook. I think a variant where the zombie horde abilities come into play would be worth a go to add a little more variance to the solo game.
@@OlivierBeyens He didn't specify the zombie turns but the noise check were the zombie turns. In regular play the zombie player hands out the search cards but I think that would be dumb to look at them yourself as the AI player. It works best as a random thing that happens when you just draw from the deck.
Hey thanks! So I do believe it is allowed. Page 8 of the rules says that on the human turn you MUST Move 3 times and each move could potentially consists of the following actions (A, B, and C). A. Kill 1 Zombie B. Use Room's Ability AND/OR Interact with a Token C. Collect Items It felt a bit over powered when I first played the game (before this video) but I double checked and it definitely seems you can do a combination of all of those items on the same move.
The Lawyer card was a part of the deluxe content from the Kickstarter Deluxe edition. There were 4 additional role cards, 2 weapon-meeples, a dog meeple, and 5 additional search cards.
So that was a question that I had - technically the zombies can't be in there, and if one had moved in, it would have taken down the barricade, so what I did in this case was drop the barricade by one.
just watched the video for 2 minutes and i think there were 2 mistakes: 22:49, instead of taking a wound you lose a bullet, but its not the same thing. 23:00 accodring to the coop rules (same than solo rules) you should add 2 zombies on each store with the same symbol that made the noise, but you add only 1 on each store. 22:42 you could have move directly into the room with the token you was trying to get, instead of moving to the room in the center, since the walls between the 2 stores are touching,... Im i right?
Ahh..it urks me that in the beginning, when you wanted to shoot the first time, you spend 1 bullet...then changed your mind but didnt gave yourself the bullet back. Second time you wanted to shoot..you spend a bullet..changed mind..didnt gave yourself the bullet back. You just spend 2 bullets without shooting..2 bullets and no good dice roll..2 bullets and lost health..ahhhhhh
Hmm... is there a timestamp you are talking about? The first turn, the Teacher used the ranged attack and it cost 1 bullet, so I dropped the bullet down to 8. The second turn, the Photographer did all melee combat and lost no bullets. On the third turn, I was going to shoot with the teacher, put my finger on the bullet that was on the 8, but then changed my mind leaving the bullet on the 8 and moving and doing a melee combat. After that, I did a second ranged attack with the Teacher, dropping the bullets to 7. This was all within the first 12 minutes of the video. Did it happen later in the video?
As someone just getting into more solo gaming (and having just received TEZ!), I love the Solo Saturday idea! Looking forward to more!
Thanks so much!! Hope you are enjoying the other Solo Saturday videos!

I enjoy to see you play this game
Hey thanks so much for the kind words!
Im not 100% sure but I think you were over using the Katana. It says Once per turn, I read that as meaning a whole turn not Once per combat.
You are absolutely correct, I just checked the card and it is indeed once per turn. I guess I'll just pretend that she was extremely skilled in sword combat, perhaps moonlighting as a ninja when not fighting zombies. :)
Thanks for the heads up on that one!
ah, that's why it seemed so OP
Great work, but I think you forgot to roll the dice when you did the melee atack at @15:00
Thank you for the compliment! You are absolutely correct too, I did forget to roll. I'll make a note of that, thanks for the heads up!!
yea, n where's the boss zombie's power up phase/activation? i thought it should occur each time a noise is made. :/
@@SHabbIZZLEx you don't use the zombies ability in Solo mode
I'm excited to get mine in the mail!
Oooh, the wait is hard. I hate waiting... I want everything NOW! LOL.
When you are over run don't you lose a hit point? Not sure. Thanks for showing how its played.
Yes, I think you are correct on that!
Great playthrough. Thanks for doing this. Just checking, is the room at the bottom left not meant to be rotated so its door faces out?

I'm sorry but I do not think you really won

@patrick tonn yes that's true. After each human you have to do a zombie turn. So indeed, human 1, zombie. Human 2, zombie

in 24:22 You roll 2 times though the card says once Every turn
Yes I think someone else mentioned that - I over used that ability. Thanks for the heads up!
in 22:50 u moved the bullet marker not the wounding marker
Wow! Great eye!! Thanks for the heads up on this one as well!!
The zombies should have a turn. The flow of olay is human player, than zombies, human player, than zombies.
I looked through my zombie deck and could not locate a Lawyer card. Was this the Kickstarter edition or preproduction?
The Lawyer card was a part of the deluxe content from the Kickstarter Deluxe edition. There were 4 additional role cards, 2 weapon-meeples, a dog meeple, and 5 additional search cards.
Ok, thanks!

I see that the search deck is continuously used after each human move, but can anyone explain what the supply deck is used for?
You take cards from that deck each time the Crate is taken back to the Courtyard. You draw one card and give 2 HP to the barricade.
Are you allowed to pick up cards in a room before you is all your moves?
hello i want to ask this game i have too i see that i don't have some weapons there like shotgun star rocket launcher

why do you keep on re-rolling every time you could take damage? that removes the fun.
It was because the photographer had a katana, that allows you doing one re-roll
