I used to turn on Bob Ross for background noise while I was working. In the past year, I’ve switched over to turning on your videos. Your calm presentation is a refresher amidst the chaos. Keep up the good work Peter!
Dude. I’m sure you get this a lot, but you’re such an inspiration man. Art is so intimidating at time, then you show process of trees and leaves is not as hard as we make it seem. Your watercolors are crazy. 👏👏
Peter.. I have to tell you that this video is very special! Not only did you ride your cool new bike (my only and favourite mode of transport) and painted some trees in watercolour but your attitude towards it is very wholesome. I do not have a shred of experience that you have but I did some more watercolour than you. To see you sit on that bench and kinda learning by doing was so lovely, I bet a lot of us would have liked to sit on that bench with you. It is amazing how much of an effect we can create by just doing instead of overthinking. The most wholesome moment for me was that you gave yourself a lil pep talk and you recognised that you did well! I like how you try new things and I am looking forward to seeing more of your plein air content if there will be some. Now get in the shade and cool off and enjoy the creative process!
I am so into your watercolour metamorphosis. The orange in that tree trunk was so gorgeous, it made everything pop. You got me into fountain pens - I've always loved watercolour, but I'm very intimidated by it. The water pen is a stroke (ha) of genius. I might have to try it out sometime.
Thank you for the beauty. I’m inexperienced with watercolours but this inspires me! Next purchase is that water pen brush. And watercolours in hard form! Beautiful art, simple and capturing the essence of summer, not overworked, spacious to feel the forms ✨🌿🫶
I would say you did very well. Watercolor is not an easy medium to master. You got out there and braved the elements, and you have started a new watercolor sketchbook. 58 more pages to go.
Super fun process to watch in real time. I loved listening to your self-analysis at the end! You did a great job at critiquing yourself without being critical. It was both comforting and interesting.
Great video on a number of levels. I only recently came across your channel and have been impressed with your presentation style, the variety of art you demonstrate, and, and your experimentations. I'm wanting to get back into watercolors since I've been away from them for quite awhile (love their use with pen & ink) and was interested in how the Sennelier travel palette worked for you - looked good. A couple of tangential thoughts: 1) $70 for the Sennelier palette sounds reasonable; I've only seen it from $78 - $82 in the U.S. 2) I liked your Hiboy demonstration, as it might be helpful with the recent California desert temperatures of 100F-118F. E-bikes are one of the things I've had my eye on; my only reservation is how much blood and skin I could stand to lose. 😉
I’ve been wanting to take my watercolours for a drive for the past few days, and use the landscape as inspiration but I’ve been so demotivated lately. Your videos give me joy and hopefully this video gives me the kick in the rear to go out and paint. Stay awesome Peter ✌️
Love it. Being pretty much stuck indoors since I got a chronic disease last year, its really tough to not be able to go outside. This video makes me miss nature even more but its great to see that you get to experience and share it with us atleast.
70 dollars is a fair price for the Sennelier watercolor set. The regular price is 79 euros. They are artist quality paints with plenty of pigment. They add honey to the paint to make nice bright colors. I use them a lot, as well as Winsor & Newton watercolors.
Definitely do your research and ask yourself how much you'll realistically use it, where you will store it, etc. but I highly recommend it! I commute to work via ebike and will occasionally go on little adventures with my sketchbooks that I could never take with an ordinary bike. They're lots of fun and a good way to get some light exercise in.
Hullo Peter, I have to commend your choice in watercolor paints! I have become a fanatic for DaVinci watercolors of California! I do have a very nice set of Sennelier too! I decided a few years ago that I was no longer going to buy cheap supplies for creating my art. I want to suggest you look into a James Gurney travel easel. They have commercial versions, but you can find plans or even videos on making your own! They go from basic single boards to boards with hinges and magnets to hold metal palettes and water cups with clips for just about every accessory! I have seen one with a screw mount for attachment to photo tripods! You decide how much you need and build it yourself! I hope you are encouraged to pursue your journey with watercolors and find a balance with your drawing. Perhaps you will create a new style all your own! I am glad that you have an electric bike I will say that you must have made the tags right as every advertisement block at least one was an ad for e-bikes! You are truly inspirational and an amazing artist, thanks for continuing to include us in your art journey.
I love those kind of rocks at the park, I have a friend who makes them. I love your watercolors, those are amazing! You like that new bike huh? Oh and thanks for 'sponsoring' all the art supplies, those watercolors look great
Love your landscapes! Great vid, and the audio of birdsong was beautiful. I think you chose your composition well. Grat job, Peter! Glad to see you're feeling better. I used to have a "Solex" bike on the same concept, minus the digital.
Almost forgot to mention! Peter, please promise you’ll get a mirror for your handle bars! You need to be able to see road traffic coming up behind you! Some motorists are not friendly to bikes! They won’t give you room!
Peter, I am truly impressed with your getting away from watercoloring your amazing drawings to launching out to almost pure watercolor painting and in "plein air" style. WTG!!! 🙏PLEASE, please be careful on that new bike, eh? I almost had to close my eyes on some of that footage? ~❤~
Love your new bike Peter! I’ve got a Velotric Discover 1 and love it!! Your watercolor drawings are very nice. Italy really has influenced your art! Keep going🙋🏼♀️🖌️🚴♂️💙
Malaka get used to it tread-lightly don't rip through the grass especially wet 😅 dry grass is OK to ride. Very good watercolor the more you do the more you see the more can change. Don't juggle the palette unless you got a easle connected, get a goats hair pointy brush and a flat haig brush also of goats hair a small container for rinsing, don't use that water brush, it won't let you run away with it what you extra see . Sumy type brushes, sumy free.😅😅😅😅 need to only be used for watercolor because if you have a brush that has been in sumi ink it never comes off good enough for watercolor..goat hair brushes work best for getting in to watercolor I feel. 🤣
It's basically an electric moped... you can paddel, use it as a bike if you want, but you have an engine with wich you can drive. And inbetween is is an e-bike, paddeling + support XD
I used Water brushes for a while but went back to normal ones as the bristles are generally pretty poor quality. Also you can just do more with a normal brush...wet spattering...dry brush work etc. Great vid as always 👍
Nice trees, Peter. I can see some darker edges on the areas you painted. You're probably using paper that's smooth en doesn't absorb your paints enough. That's best for pens (inks) where you want to avoid wobbly drawing. You'll lose those edges and paint better with less effort if you switch to cold press paper.
Aren’t ebikes fun?! We love ours especially since we are senior citizens and need a little extra boost on the hills. We never go fast fast, but it’s still great exercise.
Sennelier is like top tier watercolors, good quality watercolors are almost always expensive *internal screaming*. They're usually worth it though.... for the pigments, transparency, blending, etc. Cheap watercolors can be pretty muddy, blend poorly and less pigmented colors
Peter, look into a flexible gorilla pod mount for your camera. They have them in all sizes, and the legs wrap around anything, easy to pack, they’re great for plein air spontaneous painting videos!
Peter! This is so cool, I wanted to share it. I've got your video on in my background at work and was looking at something on my computer monitor and said "it's driving me crazy" about something...and when the word CRAZY came out of my mouth, the SAME EXACT WORD was said by you at the EXACT SAME TIME. 8:43 Sweating like crazy. Cool. eh? Or should I say "crazy" hahaha
Two years ago I was riding my regular bike and a guy riding an e-bike crashed into me. He was going too fast around a curve and lost control. He fell to the side of the path and I got some scrapes and bruises on my arm
I used to turn on Bob Ross for background noise while I was working. In the past year, I’ve switched over to turning on your videos. Your calm presentation is a refresher amidst the chaos. Keep up the good work Peter!
Have you tried peters content free podcast? If not - I think you might like it
Peter you look fantastic. You look fit and healthy and less stressed and it makes me so happy for you!
I love how art speaks differently to different people. I really really love the first one
Dude. I’m sure you get this a lot, but you’re such an inspiration man. Art is so intimidating at time, then you show process of trees and leaves is not as hard as we make it seem. Your watercolors are crazy. 👏👏
You can tell peter got a girl because how zen and lit up he seems! Happy for you peter! ❤
Peter.. I have to tell you that this video is very special!

@@laurenunreal4 „spacious to feel the forms“ , well said!
The watercolor on the right page felt very dreamy. ☁️
thank you Peter, my Saturday night needed this ✍️
So good to see you looking happy and healthy! Love the way you art as always.❤
I would say you did very well. Watercolor is not an easy medium to master. You got out there and braved the elements, and you have started a new watercolor sketchbook. 58 more pages to go.
This ticks all the boxes for me for top-tier youtube content. ❤
Watercolor is the most relaxing, but at the same time maddening medium.
Super fun process to watch in real time. I loved listening to your self-analysis at the end! You did a great job at critiquing yourself without being critical. It was both comforting and interesting.
Awesome bike, I'd be afraid to wobble-crash if I didn't pay attention!
3:22 Who else was telling the squirrel to make a run for it? lol 🐿

Love the watercolors! You’ve inspired me to give watercolor a shot. Thanks Peter!
I find both of your paintings unique and immensely beautiful. It's about the energy, you know?!
The bike vlogs continue!!
I’ve been wanting to take my watercolours for a drive for the past few days, and use the landscape as inspiration but I’ve been so demotivated lately. Your videos give me joy and hopefully this video gives me the kick in the rear to go out and paint.

Nice video Peter!! I loved the bike tour and the trees/branches look very good. I like that style. I agree with you; you did a good job that day!
Love it. Being pretty much stuck indoors since I got a chronic disease last year, its really tough to not be able to go outside. This video makes me miss nature even more but its great to see that you get to experience and share it with us atleast.
Loving the water color
Thank you Peter, this was calming. Green is my favorite color to paint with 🌱💚
This is inspiring. Thanks, Peter!

watercolor is the best
You are the best Peter!! Greetings from the Basque country
I think you are doing a really good job with the light Peter.
You inspire me to keep at it with the watercolors :)
Peter they are great paintings of trees and leaves..they are also a start for some pen or pencil line work to be added.
the roots at the base of the tree you were sitting under looked so cool. I loved the paintings too!
I’ve been on the fence about getting an e-bike for so long, this might be a sign. Ok, I’ll do it. I trust you Peter

I'd like to see you do more things outdoors, I found the sound of the birds and insects in the background against the painting incredibly relaxing.
Those are nice artist grade paints.
Both paintings came out so beautiful ❤ I love the shapes of the leaves and the colors
Perfecto just the show I need for the weekend decompression!!
loved the video, good vibes
That bike looks so much fun :)

Lovely little watercolors, Peter!!! 🍃 Nice, relaxing adventure in nature💚 Beautiful genuine Peter smile at the end was priceless! 😊
good job, Peter

Lovely video, lovely work. Thank you for sharing.
Just what I needed, so incredibly board stuck in an office all day, thanks for the escape.
Omg this was perfect to watch with dinner
Almost forgot to mention! Peter, please promise you’ll get a mirror for your handle bars! You need to be able to see road traffic coming up behind you! Some motorists are not friendly to bikes! They won’t give you room!
Yeah or what about one of those little rear view mirrors you can mount on your helmet

“Job well done”. Yes 🙌🏼 😉
living the dream
nice adventure, the bike looks really fun
22:22 and on made my day :))
Peter has quickly become my favorite person who's not my immediate family. Aaaaand now I want an e-bike. 😂
BOth look great

Good job Peter. I'm thinking you may still be in Florence😜
I was number 600 on the thumbs up. Does that mean anything? Probably not.
This was a good video to watch.
Nice.
Mustache looking strong.
That’s crazy :)
Hello boy! Oops, I mean hiboy!
Came for the art. Interested in the bike now. Thanks Peter. Well done as always.
Peter I’m looking for a nice pen. I know you have endless videos on this. Which one should I buy. I like quick dry and nice and creamy
I have to correct you Peter it is not an engine it is a motor Motors are run by electricity and engines are run gasoline
I was expecting you to whip out a magnifying glass and paint the bug
Tag who watches the video to the end🐼
Does it come with an air fryer?
pretttyy
Painting
poor dead bug just flicked off the bench so carelessly. So disrespectful to the deceased lol
lol would you rather I sat on it
@@peter_draws lol, Because it’s you, i was expecting you to give it a nice resting place location. Just feels like something you would do. lol
Not exactly a tractor, but it will do.
Love the bike but gotta be honest I was half expecting you to fall and get hurt because that happens to people
Two years ago I was riding my regular bike and a guy riding an e-bike crashed into me. He was going too fast around a curve and lost control. He fell to the side of the path and I got some scrapes and bruises on my arm
Suck your watercolor brushes to stick the hairs of the brush back together so they don't separate. Yes, it is a bit gross I suppose.
I used that same brush a lot 5 years ago and I did that a lot 😅
"Congrats to everyone Who is early and who found this comment.. 🐼😊
