Matthew Benavides i have never worn earplugs and neither have any other people in our drumlune and nobody has had hearing loss or damage so i dont see the problem wih not wearing earplugs
Hello, future severe tinnitus sufferers! It's me, the guy in the youtube comment that told you to wear earplugs, and you didn't listen. Oh, sorry, my apologies. HELLO! IT'S ME, THE GUY FROM THE RUclips COMMENT FROM THE PAST, WHEN YOU'RE LOOKING BACK AT THIS IN A YEAR .
If y'all need anything percussion check out Lone Star Percussion, it's the only store I get my stuff from they have anything I ever need. From Innovative percussion to Promark and Vic Firth sticks, they have drumsets, marching drums, drum heads, cymbals, stands, pads, and even electronics for your marching experience and/or drumset setup! Definitely check them out!
cplayzgamez23 good choice! I'm in Texas in the DFW metroplex, but they've also opened up a location in California since that's where they get a lot of their business from.
besides a tuning key, you'll need screwdrivers and so on. There's many tools of the trade, depending how deep you want to go, including restoring and repairing etc.
a video for beginners for sure, all good choices to have, earplugs are always controversial but if your worried it never hurts to pick some up, love the vid, i have all of these
i’d recommend fixing your grip on the sticks. i noticed when you do any type of rolls that your pinky finger is not on your stick. just keep your back fingers on the sticks
Another thing that helps would be either two small pieces of carpet or doormats big enough to just go under your hi hat and bass drum pedal when you're worried about things slipping and have to play on a hard floor.
Practice pad and drum key is something every drummer needs, you don't necessarily need headphones or ear plugs, they definitely help but you must have a practice pad and drum key. Nice video!!
I have the same ear plugs as you have but I really hate to use them just because I hear the Cymbals less and my Base Drum more... Its ok when I am practicing but the other members of my Band hate it...
Thank you so much for this video. I am 11 and have been playing for 5 years. I am trying to master La Villa Strangiato which is like the Everest of drumming so I needed to know if I have all of my supplies. You deserve this like.
that ludwig pad is the absolute worst for practicing marching snare, i have it and want it to burn but i'm broke and don't have $50 for a prologix blue lightning pad
I’ve gotta say the prologix pad is probably the best investment I’ve made in drums besides my kit. I march and it’s so perfect for literally everything
1:58 if ur gonna buy a practice pad, don't buy a remo or a Ludwig. Pads with actual heads on them don’t have that great of a feeling and are loud. buy the gum ruber pads for example, the Evans real deal, Vater double sided chop builder pad, HQ real feal, Sound percussion labs dual surface, The vic firth pad or any other gum ruber pads.
Great video, great advice, you're just missing one thing on the list of things a drummer needs, A metronome, the most important in my opinion, whether it's an actual metronome or on your phone a drummer is no good if they can't keep time,
I got a drum tuner for free, I asked the guy at my music store if they had any for sale, and he said that I could have it free of charge, because that thing is so damn important, which I agree
no dont get a practice pad they are too bouncy and dont help u develope skill at all. use apillow so that you have to forcefully pick up the sticks and back down. and they also help u develope wrist strength
If you are new please consider subscribing! I'd love to see you around! 😊
Gregory Manning thank youuu
VIDKID428 just subbed
VIDKID428 Bruh I got a pair of those light up Blue Man Group drumsticks also.

earplugs are a must for anybody who does marching
Yes! 100%
Dill Pickle not true i never use them nd my hearing is fine
Matthew Benavides i have never worn earplugs and neither have any other people in our drumlune and nobody has had hearing loss or damage so i dont see the problem wih not wearing earplugs
Supernova 70 The damage is not permanent...
It's not called tuner, it's a Drum KEY.
ik lol. Its used for more than just tuning but he has an electric kit so i dunno if he needs it for anything else...
ik lol. Its used for more than just tuning but he has an electric kit so i dunno if he needs it for anything else...
@ Bob wentzell thank you. Idk how he could screw up on that
Bob Wentzell thank u because be dome
Thank you
For ear protection i wear head phones that you use for shooting a gun
emo trash haha! Nice
Electronic earmuffs 👍
I have been drumming for six years still no stick bag
Critical Tech same I guess people I like me and you have the since not to drop sticks
Critical Tech it’s more for people playing in a band that have to play with different sticks and mallets during multiple songs
I ply for 7 yrs
lol same
you forgot one! every drummer should have a kit!!! :P
Pineapple_123 not exactly
Pineapple_123 You can play drums on other things :P
Pineapple_123 not necessarily
Pineapple_123 no not really
Pineapple_123 I play snare. I have absolutely no confidence with a kit.
1:29 Amazing technique

Silver Kunai I go there! What state are you in? I thought it was only in Texas
cplayzgamez23 good choice! I'm in Texas in the DFW metroplex, but they've also opened up a location in California since that's where they get a lot of their business from.
I also use this, and I'm from DFW too :)
i'm a drummer but i don't have a drum set. i have a drum pad
Gamer julie they are great for practice
VIDKID428 i know
julie that's how I started too
If you have the space, then I do recommend getting a kit but start with a cheap one. If you like it, invest in a better one. Just my advice but yeah
thanks for making this video it helped me now what I should get and what I need to get
:) Anytime Man!
Vic Firth Quest Love signature sticks to rule them all 👌🏼
I have a practice pad and its amazing I have for my school band
I have those sparkly blue sticks I got them for my birthday like 2 years ago
They're shit
PhinnO's yeah they are lol
Jimin the drummer
My GOD, you need that drum pad more than anyone :O
besides a tuning key, you'll need screwdrivers and so on. There's many tools of the trade, depending how deep you want to go, including restoring and repairing etc.

Thank you so much!!!!! 😄😄😄
Acoustic set looks great. Which Roland set is that/other?
Talks about technique, then shows how poor his ability to do doubles and clean rolls is. Nice.
Joel I I was thinking the same thing
Talks about fucking up and then doesn't use basic grammar.
finlay childs unrelated ypu fucked it up yourself
The Lord And Savior Tachanky Kang talks about a guy who said someone fucked up then tells them they fucked up but can't spell "you"
PhinnO's o and p are very close together on my phone
i’d recommend fixing your grip on the sticks. i noticed when you do any type of rolls that your pinky finger is not on your stick. just keep your back fingers on the sticks
Another thing that helps would be either two small pieces of carpet or doormats big enough to just go under your hi hat and bass drum pedal when you're worried about things slipping and have to play on a hard floor.
The glow Sticks may be good on an electric set with mesh heads, bit on an acoustic set or rubber pads, they aren't good for actually playing
DoramaRx yeah my friend tried to use mine lol he got to sound check and his drum sound sucked lol they are trash
He did say he used em with the electric kit
I have those exact same ?uestlove sticks and they are great!
I have an offworlder 3 pad and it really is the best pad I've had in a while... it feels just like an actual head (in my opinion).
Me play guitar me don't know why am I watching this
Cedric Le same here 😂😂😂😂
Wtf. It's (I play guitar. Not me play guitar. Did you even go to 2nd grade???
#LogicSociety me is joking me is sad you are mad
Cedric Le me play drum and me see this on all drum video
Cedric Le hahahahah
Practice pad and drum key is something every drummer needs, you don't necessarily need headphones or ear plugs, they definitely help but you must have a practice pad and drum key. Nice video!!
Eastar drumstick bag attaches to your hi hat stand. Best purchase ever.
"I always and only buy these exact pairs" Has about five other pairs.. Love ya vid!!
well, "these" suggests couple pairs he buys.
I have those orange sticks and I love those
Question, in your part where you show your drumsticks, is it cool for you to share the names of them?
What if you have dropped the very last stick you had? lol
Roman Bykov Then your technique is really bad
Roman Bykov you suck
Bongo Time
Roman Bykov then you are bad
Pick them up?
I'm not even a drummer what am I doing here
B r ø ø k l y n idk but thanks anyway 😊
Your drum kit shouldn't have dust on it if you play it allot
(Allot) is not correct. It's (a lot)
Of course it will get dusty unless you put your drums in a non-ventilated place
Also the dust from the sticks on the snare. Snare rim shot with hit playing metal.
What are those sticks ? Name/link. Your sticks that you would normally use

Doooope, yeah it's just a cheap practice pad to beat on
I’ve gotta say the prologix pad is probably the best investment I’ve made in drums besides my kit. I march and it’s so perfect for literally everything

ruclips.net/video/QKzIBrci5B4/видео.html
I like the rubber pads better because they rebound more
1:58 if ur gonna buy a practice pad, don't buy a remo or a Ludwig. Pads with actual heads on them don’t have that great of a feeling and are loud. buy the gum ruber pads for example, the Evans real deal, Vater double sided chop builder pad, HQ real feal, Sound percussion labs dual surface, The vic firth pad or any other gum ruber pads.
Miguel Moran I now have a much better pad, and I agree with this comment 👌👍🏻😊
VIDKID428 I've been noticed!!! Thanks man! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
Miguel Moran thanks man! Hope to see you around more often! I try to respond as often as possible 😊👍🏻

@@ltr180 it's one of my intro / outros , thank you!
Great video, great advice, you're just missing one thing on the list of things a drummer needs, A metronome, the most important in my opinion, whether it's an actual metronome or on your phone a drummer is no good if they can't keep time,
Limptomber after making this video I realized that 😂👍🏻😃 Thank you 😊
what about your metronome?
What were the songs playing in the background?
Screams super loud
*"HEY! HEY! JOSH! DO HAVE THIS SICK STUFF!!!!*
Listens for a scream back..
"Okay I guess he didn't here me. Sucks to be you bud."
Where's the best place/site to get a practice pad? I never find them for a price under 20$ and usually they are 20-50$
most pads are 20, You can sometimes find cheap ones on sale in music stores like guitar center :)
Iv got one question what are those nah I'm just joking but how long have you been playing the drum and have or do you play and other instoment?
+TheGamingPro FTW ive been playing since I was 3 and I am fully self taught! And most other percussion instruments I can play :) not really bells tho
Thanks for the tips

HawaiianJamaican Punch cool!
You're a fast responder, so as a prize I'll sub lol
HawaiianJamaican Punch thank youuu
You forgt about..every drummer should have a drum
Which i dint have
Why do you keep tuning the drum key around yes we know what it looks like we don’t need to see it at every angle
LD Music hi
Where you buy that stand that was next to your practice pad?
CARLOS Gonzalez guitar center
If you’re a marching drummer, or a general band percussion, your stick bag will be different. Including your practice pad
I have that exact drumpad
What song is that
Thank you for the advice!
anytime!!!
2:38 I have the same headphones
I got a drum tuner for free, I asked the guy at my music store if they had any for sale, and he said that I could have it free of charge, because that thing is so damn important, which I agree
It's called a drum key. Not a tuner
#LogicSociety oops. My mistake lol. I meant key. Thx for that
did you use the questlovle's? (1st set shown)
???
VIDKID428 questloves' signature sticks the b&w ones
a very good substitute for a practise pad is a mouse pad
what's the song you are playing to at 03:20 ?
torro torro - badman
Nice, I didn't know some of them :)
+Rised Creativity :D Glad you learned more! :D
which stick model is that?? the one that is longer than the others
So?
Thanks, bro! Great video!
no dont get a practice pad they are too bouncy and dont help u develope skill at all. use apillow so that you have to forcefully pick up the sticks and back down. and they also help u develope wrist strength
