I am so glad I came across your video, you gave me hope for my pool. Thanks for sharing. I have a 24x12x52 intex rectangular pool. I brought it in June of 2016, I was using the salt water sand filter system that came with the pool. I would also use chlorine tabs as an added measure of keeping the pool clean. Well this year, I kind of just let it get green and full of algae. I was so up set because I notice the corner pipes was all rusted out and not very stable for me or my grand kids to swim in. I hated the idea of just throwing it away because of the cost that I put into the pool, heavy duty plastic latter, pool lights, vacuum, pool sprinkler and another stronger filter system. Tanks to watching your video, I will try and contact INTEX to see if I can order the replacement pipes because It is only almost 3 years since I brought my pool and it should not be all rusted at the corners like that. I saw a video once that said if you using salt water, it could rust the pipes, but it seems to me that INTEX should have made the pipes to with stand such situation because they sold the pool with the saltwater system included. I see now they are selling the same pool calling it "Ultra XRT " or something like that claiming the pipes is specially coated to withstand the salt water. I an kind of upset that they would sell an expensive pool with a salt water filtration system that would rust the pipes like that. Other than the water being green and the rusted corner pipes, the pool liner and filtration system is good. so thanks again for sharing the video. By the way, how is your pool holding up now?
