Filler primer works great on projects with not so much detail. Once you get into lines and small gaps it fills them in and you have to sand them back in.
When you try the acetone vapor test, try it not only with PLA filmament , but also ABS filament. The ABS will probably react better to the acetone than the PLA. of course, I am not sure which Bambulabs printer you are using, so ABS might not be printable with your setup.
I tried to do a perfectly see through lens with a resin print, and i did 80 - 2000 grit, and i used a liquid polish made for jewelry and it worked very nicely, but i spent probably like 5 hours sanding each piece by hand, (all wet sanding), after seeing this i probably should skip the wet sanding until 200 next time xD
Great video Gee!
Thank you so much CW!
Damn dude, I appreciate how much work all that sanding is. Excellent work.
Thank you so much for the kind words
Pretty cool how smooth you go it with just sanding. Both look fantastic honestly.
Yeah I was surprised how well it came out too
Awesome video , both turned out good , it's hard to choose. 🤙
Thank you so much!!! I was like this video isn’t out yet!!! But you’re a member so you get early access!! 🙌🏾
Yea both ended up good
that’s insane, very interesting video ❤
Thank you so much Ancient I thought it was cool just using sandpaper!
@@JustGee3D yes, quite impressive
That came out so smooth with just the sandpaper! Nice job man
Yeah it’s was a lot of work but totally worth it!

Yeah I agree, when I get the bondo stuck in lines and stuff I make sure to dig it out with a pick or something.

@@JustGee3D eheheh
The music was a bit distracting. Rest of the video awesome
When i made a hovalin i sanded the fingerboard up to 1000 grit with wet sandpaper
Oh I bet that made it super smooth!
@JustGee3D successfully got it to the same smoothness as a violin fingerboard because otherwise the strings make an awful noise
at the end you use polish with your dremel ... so it's not only with sandpaper ... anyway ... "bravo" you made a good video
Thank you so much! And technically all polish is, is a finer grit sandpaper in paste form.
Great job!
Thank you so much!!! 🙌🏾

Thanks so much for the advice I’ll remember that, and I’m using the X1C so I should be good 2 go! 🤘🏾
hey justgee, were do you get your acitone?
I usually get it from a hardware store like Lowe’s or Home Depot
rubbing compound (like 5k grit) would've gotten it shiny
I used some blue compound and my Dremel is that the same thing?
Fire
Thanks Bees!
