The blendimg stump can actually lighten up the graphite at certain points and stages of the drawing.
Hmm! Maybe it can do that and I've never noticed!
@StevenZapataArt yeah, like when you have ypur dark laid out and you use a blending stump in will lighten in up. That's why you don't press hard when you are laying your blacks down so you can lighten it up a little with the stump.
I think any concept is right and should be used accordingly.
Hmm it’s almost like a paint brush. Pencils= thin mark making. Painting= wide mark making. A blending stump kind of acts as a bridge between the worlds, never thought of it that way!
