Int the USA every citizen is issued a identification number at some point in their life. This number is used to track who is alive, who is a citizen, who is dead.
This number is tied to all forms of positive identification.
Yet our our voting systems shudder at the thought of using this number in conjunction with photo identification or other succinct documentation to verify the identity of voters and to tally the popular vote.
Elections worldwide are to offer the illusion of choice. The Family elects from the candidate pool. It’s part of a much bigger picture / problem.

I was ten when I heard that Lennon was killed and I had no idea that he was one of the Beatles, he'd just released new music and I just thought he was a new artist until my next door neighbour told me who he actually was.
