This video resonated with me a lot. I went through grade school not knowing what the hell to do when I graduate. I knew the only way was to go to college for me to be successful, but Covid hit, and yeah I graduated high school in 2020…so that didn’t help with my uncertainty. For two years after graduating I just worked minimum wage jobs and took a couple classes here and there at my community college. By that point I realized I was going nowhere. I decided to go to university 8 hours from home, which I’m still doing, but it STILL feels sorta uncertain to me. I decided to join the rotc program just trying to find my niche. I’m still not certain about that but it’s something I’ll have to finish out (and get amazing benefits that’s cool too). All this time, I’ve been secretly obsessed with RUclips and toying with the idea of trying it out myself, I just don’t quite know how to start. I don’t have a pc, I’m a broke college student and I don’t have much time to be doing youtube or gaming. Man it’s hard, but it’s actually really something I want to do rather than all of these other big things that haven’t really made me too excited to do. I guess I am still the gaming kid I was who played on the GameCube with friends 🤷🏼♀️😅 Idk should I try this out? I guess nothing is too ambitious to me if I actually joined the fucking military through all this 🤣
I'm hoping to take a degree in Mechanical Engineering and I also love RUclips! Hopefully I can mix my work with RUclips at some point. Love the stories!
If I remember correctly, you mentioned in one of your videos that you were into MW2 back in the day and I think you specifically mentioned sniping. I was also massively into the MW2 sniping scene, I think I joined a new trickshotting clan like once a month lol I can’t find the video where you talked about this but I think you said something about beating anyone in a rust 1v1 and I’d love to prove you wrong ;)
@@notbrock2 lol I’m sure I would look like an absolute BOT if I tried to play MW2 today. Also just wanted to say that your videos are excellent my man; you’re definitely one of the creators I take inspiration from when I’m making my own content. Really like these more chill and personal videos as well, keep up the great work dude!
Your story resonates a lot with mine actually, I started doing Minecraft videos in 2012 when Minecraft became really big in the youtube community in France (where I live), I was 15 at the time and did Minecraft videos during all of highschool. I never told anyone because I was scared that they would laugh at me, and during those 2-3 years of uploading content only 2 friends found my channel and I asked them not to tell anyone else what I did (and they were good friends so they kept their mouths shut). Highschool ended, I had 2500 subscribers (which was not that bad at that time, around 2014). But when I went to college I couldn't find the time to make videos anymore, and here we are, 26, software engineer, I have a job, a gf, a cat, and bills to pay. Every 4 months or so I'll launch a stream on Twitch and some friends will come and watch me (streaming and youtube have become more common so I'm not ashamed to talk about it anymore, thank god), they tell me I'm good and I could actually make it work but I'll never find the courage to quit my job and go all-in on it like you did. I remember trying to do it for real when I was unemployed, but I was living with my parents at that time and couldn't really do what I wanted since they could come in my room at anytime, so I only streamed really late at night. Maybe one day I'll be unemployed again, but this time in my home, and I'll try for real this time. Thanks for doing these videos, they are very interesting to listen to, I don't know how to say it but it feels nice to see some introspection and questioning about yourself and your content. I've only been watching your videos for something like two weeks (I only watched the 2 minecraft-movies about your hardcore world), but you seem like a great dude.
let me know if there are any other things you want me to talk about :)
Maybe doing SMPs or things like that (with me…)
About hardcore/ motivation ig?
Great story, thank you for sharing
