I love that naked and afraid kinda just brought a bunch of different types of RUclipsrs together and inspired each other to get better at each others strengths. Like it’s so cool to see this after meeting rek
cool vid, the way you tell stables and housing apart faster is for stables, the "top" part and the "bottom" part are lined up with each other on the left and right, whereas for housing, they're offset a bit
Hard difficulty increases the amount of blocks piglins jump down to chase you and therefore usually their amount in the trading hole. So you are correct about that one
Pro speedrunner here Dude u are doing quite good rn, every starts off slow. If you keep practicing and seeing other ppl speedrun then you will most definitely improve Happy speedrunning
if you want to loot chests in bastions more aggressively, you can throw out the gold armour/swords/ingots etc i the chests onto the floor while you loot it to distract the piglins around, I'd only recommend doing this if there are a couple of pigs
if only I had the patience to actually teach myself speedrunning. One day I'll feel super motimvated and learn a bunch of routes and tech and then I'll go 2 weeks without touching it lol
a little late to finding this video, but for runs 1 & 11, the bastion is too close to eray on 30 fov. if you know there is a bastion close but cant eray it, widen your fov to ~40 and try to find a spike again. Pretty common on this practice map because you can spawn right next to the bastion, but much less common in real runs, although its still good to know. i started speedrunning about a year ago and my advice when starting out would be to focus on consistency. your first run is going to be slow, its just how it goes. bastion practice is probably the number one thing, but speed is not really the focus until you feel like you need to save time. just using bastions to get pearls in the first place is fast enough as a beginner trust me. know your routes and play them safely until you are comfortable going faster. completing a run is going to be much more difficult than you think and you shouldnt be taking risks you dont understand yet. good luck, I know you can have a good time soon by putting in this kind of practice
I was gonna ask if this endeavor is inspired by rekrap but you answered at the end. PS a noob-friendly strat for speedrunning is to have blocks off-handed. Hard to tell how easy it is for you to access each hotbar item from this video, but it's something I like to do. Otherwise maybe try using your off-hand for something, I see many people off-hand their food or to pick up armor from chests. More PS's: 6:45 _crafts a gold helmet but then nearly dies anyway_ - Gold armor is mainly valuable pre-chase, so that you aren't getting killed when setting up to be chased. Which is why it makes sense to make it at the start of some routes (e.g. bridge chalice), but not so much when most the piglins are already in the trading hole. For those stray piglins it's better to keep a few gold ingots in your hotbar to distract them. 10:15 official rsg rules are weird here. If you intentionally use something like this to find a structure, then that's invalid because you used a glitch, but if it occurs from natural playing and it gives you useful information, then that's okay. 12:40 This parkour jump is supposedly super easy, you just have to be holding forward, and when dropping hold space and you'll autojump off the edge (I still mess it up sometimes).
I have also wanted to learn to speedrun, I find it so fascinating that someone can beat the game in minutes with ease. I tried to just load up a world to practice and got bored, I’ve watched reks vids on how to speedrun and i forgot it all lol. I’ve enjoyed watching daily Brock vids, and you’ve now made me want to try and get good at speedrunning again! Keep up the vids, I’ll continue to comment and enjoy them!
2:35 If you have balls to do it, you can bank on anything golden being in the chest and drop it on the ground straight after opening it. I think you can also un- and reequip your armor to reset their aggro.
This was a great video to watch, I recently started re-learning speed running, and seeing someone around my skill level definitely helps me learn a few things because of what you do different and how you approach things, so please make more speed-running progression videos. You earned yourself a new sub :)
LBP is good for practicing but there are better ways if you want to enter using bt and magma I recommed using the FSG Wrapper Mod and installing rsg but good in Minecraft when it the FSG Wrapper Mod ask you to install a filter (you have to use fabric btw) if You want to enter through other ways like villages I would recommend them only if You want sub 30 or if you get lucky with a black smith sub 20 is also really possible I hope this helps!
Also turning it to hard makes it so piglins that are mad at you but are on a higher level they won't care and will run after you unlike in normal and easy where they won't chase you by falling(basically if they are on a higher level then you and falling will give them fall damage they wont follow you except if it's on hard) so only if there are piglins that are mad at you in the top rampart you won't be getting any extra piglins
Also if a piglins is higher then you and if it followed you it will take fall damage it wont follow you unless it's on hard also a tip you should collect arrows and a crossbow in the bastion chest so you can shoot the crystals in the end and there are ways to improve the bastion nav but scine you are just starting I would leave that for later
Listen up brother, DO NOT get into speedrunning. It's more addictive than actual drugs. 😂
worth it
I agree it's so worth and fun
its worth it until you get a sub 15
true af
2:19 it gives you more pigs because on hard difficulty they aren't scared to fall to get to you so more of them follow you. The more you know.

Looks like I’m not the only one inspired by rekrap to speedrun haha
Good luck Brock, excited to see your progress
the only one

You can be rakrap3 when you learn everything about speedrun
Yeah very cool to watch cuz I don't know Much about this side of minecraft so very fun plus always good just to watch you play
daggum, if brock can speedrun... maybe i got a chance xD

Btw one question, do you use Minecraft Launcher or a client?
I use multimc since it lets me have all of my different instances saved
@@notbrock2 Ok thank you, because I was not sure of getting it, but now I will
What server is that or like world download or something bcuz i've never seen that for speedrunning
rek would probably be happy to help you speedrun and also hard make it so pig fall further giving you a chance at more pigs

welcome to the team
I loved this
im p sure they dont walk on the magma block so some ppl make a bridge for them btw
gl with bastions lol
can't wait for you and rek have a speedrunning video
Good luck
also u should just e ray immediately without looking around, it doesnt really waste that much time.
actually they just dont care about fall damage as much
bro should change his name to rekrap3
Have you ever tried mcsr ranked?
One day, need to be able to actually finish runs first xD
Second 😅
Now do ranked vs rekrap =)
And try learning off hand looting it's worth it
That would not go well for a guy like me
i think the only issue you have is falling in lava. but seriously i think you're cooking
Biggest problem right now seems to be my overall movement mechanics. They’ll come with time :D
first?
First
turning diff to hard gives you higher chance for good drops
