They have some good options coming out. I like their single drawer option that is more the size of one drawer of the Milwaukee 2 drawer. It would allow you to build stacks of single drawers for specific tasks in a stack. I swap out stuff in my truck all the time, so swap-able single drawers is a good option. It is always good to wait sometimes for people to work out kinks 👍
It could slightly. Mostly depending on what you put in it. I don’t think it would with just normal tools in it, but it could. If it was on the bottom it would only tilt till it hit the ground.. you would maybe have a bigger problem if you had it as the second box (like in my video) and loaded it down without anything in the rolling box below it. May not be enough weight in the base to keep it from tipping. That may not make sense.. hard to explain with typed words 😂

Very nice review. When our new storage shed arrives, something like this might be a good idea. I've bought a few big parts boxes or similar organizers, but not part of any system, so going with Modbox would be a viable option. How are the prices overall, compared to Packout and Toughbuilt?
They are all in the same price range depending on if you get them on sale. They are usually just within a few dollars of one another. Packout probably still being the most expensive.
I like the Klein pack-out over a lot of others out there . Im so invested in Milwaukee. I feel Klein entered a bit late with there offerings. But they are definitely nicer .... Soft close would have been a nice touch on those drowers😂😂🤣 thanks Morgan see you next time
I have a few bits of packout, but really aimed at one specific loadout, so can easily swap to another system for my other loadouts where the modular stack would benefit me. The Klein certainly looks nice, but I have been told that it isn't being brought to the UK, so unless I shipped it over, I am not going to see it. Stacktech is rumoured to be coming over here, so that is likely what I will look at for my other needs. Coming into the market after packout, gives them the benefit of learning from what's out there and producing all the accessories themselves. Milwaukee certainly has some catching up to do. Does make you wonder how these companies do their initial assessments though, as you would have thought someone would have pointed out the problems with accessing the bottom box as soon as the system has been used once.
I guess the prob is the weight of the stack and making that bottom draw sturdy enuf while still functioning as a draw while being made of plastic. And we would prob lose some space due to the sliders etc so it would be less content. But yes we all still want it. Just reflecting on its probably being easier to ask for that it is to make it work well If they F it up they lose their reputation But if stacktech makes it work they will kinda have to do it I would think.
@robholland5925 I believe that is all the reasoning too. It’s reinforcing the drawer to be on the bottom of someone’s stack that is 7’ tall full of tools. The lawyers said “nope” 😂
@@MORGANSMaintenance and stack tech needs to steal a big chunk of market share for Milwaukee to feel the pressure to do it I fear. As long as sales don’t drop for them they may feel the risk is not worth it. And if you put a accounted or lawyer hat on I kinda get it I fear Milwaukee will prob be the last to do it and only if they feel they don’t have a choice anymore.
@@robholland5925 Yes, there will certainly have to be compromises in the design to make it work. However, they do already sell a cabinet with a single lift up door at the front, so they are presumably happy that can take a good amount of weight. Afterall, nothing stopping anyone putting that at the bottom of their standalone trolley with a load of other packout above. Isn't much of a stretch to remove the door and install drawers inside of it and add the cutouts for the wheels for it to go on their trolley.

@@MORGANSMaintenance You’re Welcome and appreciate the reply. 😊 Have You thought about doing like a follow up on those Milwaukee Wire strippers? I’m looking at either the Self Adjusting ones You featured in your video of 4 months ago, or the Klein Catapults? Would be interested to see what a comparison would be. Just a thought and wanted to run that by You?
Have you tried the packout moving dolly? You have your level holder in the handle you can put a drawer unit on the bottom and detach the boxes to fit in the truck. Every advantage this has is doable with the moving dolly. I love the idea of these new jobsite storage bit I tend to not buy into something that isn't long term proven solution ans be stuck with a inactive system. Like the orange 🍊 👍
I thought about the dolly. I rarely use mine as a “rolling” box. Really only when I do work in a mall or factory. So I don’t really want to pack a Dolly with me all the time. I do think that is a better option if you roll all the time. I’m sure that it also works better as a dolly than the rolling box does.
Not sure if you're talking about the furniture dolly or the 4-wheel base. While I don't own the furniture cart, the reviews I saw on it where overall meh, so I went the other route - I went with the 4-wheel dolly base route, with 3 drawer boxes (packout 2-drawer for the base, and then 2x 3 drawers and a parts organizer to top it off). It is fantastic once I get on the site, I don't have to unstack it at all. It's no effort to move the whole thing from room to room. But it is terrible to get on to site. My work is mostly finished spaces, with elevators, sidewalks/handicap ramps etc, but if I run into even one step or odd gap in the door, it goes from great to terrible real quick. Being in finished spaces it works, but give me a gravel/dirt path and I'm taking the stack in on a furniture cart as if it was 2016.
@@notme232 I think, or I took it as, the furniture dolly. The one you are talking about seems like a good option once you are on site for sure. Ive kinda thought about buying it to put one set of drawers on and use as a seat to roll around and work on receptacles… not sure how the height would work out. I currently use a chair from a dentist office I did work in.
@@MORGANSMaintenance Height wise, it's okay as a seat for me - could be a bit taller, but you look like an above-average height person and I'm pretty short (5'-6"). You would probably have to add one of the mid-size toolboxes or deep organizer on top to get a comfortable height. I don't use it as a seat very often, but if I was to sit on it for a long time, I'd want a blanket or something to cushion the plastic holes.
If I needed one of those system, I'd go with Klein. Look much better that Milwaukee. Someday all the systems will be compatible and exchangeable. They will be the same as phones and charging ports. I give it 5 years.
It is a nice system. For those who are not already heavily invested in something it’s worth taking a look. I agree, there will eventually be adapter plates to go between each system.
You think? I already have about 10 ridgid boxes and recently purchased a few Milwaukee XL boxes because I needed slightly larger size and I mounted a few baseplates in my truck. After that, I did find an aftermarket baseplate for Ridgid boxes and I installed some aftermarket “feet” to screw into them for the Milwaukee baseplate (or to simply stack Ridgid boxes on top of Milwaukee. Works surprisingly well. I can now throw boxes in my truck that are dedicated for different activities (moto, MTB, Karting) and also have a box or 2 always in the bed that have a pretty decent tool collection, tire inflator, battery jumper, and even in process of adding “feet” to a baseplate that straps a fuel can to it as well. The Milwaukee situation with them offering their own baseplates sort of make the options endless. Also in process of strapping hydraulic car jack to some type of baseplate that I can add more “feet” to and always have that easily accessible in my truck so it isn’t such a pain to strap down. I also happen to have a couple Dewalt boxes and their “base plate” and also a Kobalt rolling box that is a few years old and doesn’t have any way to attach to anything, but got for free with a 6 tool kit. I’ve now figured out a way to attach boxes to that as well.
@@MORGANSMaintenance good to know. I went all drawers and a foldable dolly. I mainly needed for the vans, rarely do I need to take an entire stack on a job.
Good catch… you were right it didn’t make sense 😂 I just checked and it was 9”.. my tape measure must have been hitting on a lip on the divider when I was filming. I remeasured from that lip up and it was 5”.
couldn't agree more about introducing a cart option where you have a single large drawer intstead of the open top. It just takes away from the design if you always have to remove the upper mod boxes to access your largest storage area.
@@sambaird3963 I know Milwaukee has one coming next year, and I heard ToughBuilt has one in the mix as well. Competition is king… once one does it and it sells, they all will 👍
Great review. I do like the look of these mod boxes. Just not an option in Europe unless you import them yourself from the USA. Toughbuilt stack tech is I believe going to be the first to bring out a rolling single draw box this year. But I’m not being convinced by them on their system But if one company does it the others surly have to follow So 2025 might be the year we see that in packout ( please please ) All in all If modbox would sell in Europe and I would not have money in packout I would prob go for it if I was starting out on a box system. But saying that I love my packout and with the mods of eBay I’m already where I wanna be with it. Just that rolling draw. The holy grail in tool boxes 😂
Yeah, they sell Dollie’s where you can put drawers on the bottom, but those take up so much more room to transport. The wheels built into the box make more sense for me. I have no arguments with my packouts.. I really like them. The only thing I don’t like about the drawers is the metal locking bar. Taking it on/off all the time gets old. I like how Dewalts drawers kind latch and you just open them with a handle. But every system is going to have parts we like/don’t like. You kinda just have to find the one that has the most likes and hope someone 3D prints the rest 😂
Reading back it sounds a little contradictory with the holly grail on rolling draw and then right away dismissing the stack tech. I think I’m biased against thoughbuilt after my experience with their pouches. As in looked like a great idea but in the end just not it. The more I see of them the more it seems a gimmick company I don’t know just based on a feeling Hard to put into words
Yeah, it would be hard for me to switch all together. I had been waiting for a single drawer for some time. I had already been thinking about buying the Klein and figuring out a way to stack packout on top. Organizer wise, I’m pretty heavy in Milwaukee, so I need it to be able to latch into anything I use as a base
We need the big drawer at the bottom with the wheels. This is such an obvious design flaw. Why can’t any of these manufacturers just make it? This is the only reason I haven’t already bought/built out one of these stacks.
I’m waiting to get any of these box systems for when a company comes out with a drawer rolling box. I know it’s already been said in the comments but maybe these companies are reading the comments.
Packout is good stuff too, that’s what I’ve been running for some time. Every system will have things we like/don’t like. You just have to find the one that offers the most stuff for what you need. Currently Packout has a bigger selection, but maybe others will catch up
I currently using the mod box but your review did not cover open up the new box with tools in it the two nail guns to see how the lower box lid will handle the weight because the wind is carrying all the weight when you open it you showed it opening empty Malaysia since you cannot is the handle to stop it the lids probably going to break due to there's nothing stopping it from opening because you removed the handle correct all the weight is on the lid so take the handle out leave your nail guns in and open your lower box I would like to see what happens because that's reality you're just doing it empty before I buy that box pretty hard to do that in the store without looking like a criminal
I wouldn’t ever just leave all the weight just hanging if I got in my box like that. I would always support it with one hand like I did in the video. Even if the lid did hold it, the weight would likely tip it over if you weren’t holding it. It’s still not ideal, but it’s an option with the handle removed. A drawer on the bottom would still be the best option
Give the guys in ETSY some time to come up with add-on to this system and it may just make it to the level of Milwaukee.....at least with the electricians - they're a very loyal bunch.
It is a good start for sure. Of course they are getting into the game after some others and got to see some of the mods and integrate them from the get go. I’ll have to look for me a Modbox to Packout adapter. I like the color scheme of the drawers more than just the boxes. I think they should mix more of the grey in. But I like the latch/unlatch being like the packout, it’s one of the main reasons I chose packout over Dewalt and Ridgid when I first got into them
some time? ModBOX has been out for more than a year. Klein and Toughbuilt did a much better job with their side-mounts. Milwaukee side-rails look great, but were launched with cybertruck-level functionality.
I can see that. I normally do commercial work. I rarely use my rolling box unless it’s a mall/school/factory which usually has bigger entrances, but a good point to think about 👍

Excellent review. Klein should send you lots of free products to review. 👍
I’m all for it 😂
Appreciate it 👍

@@k1_w3 I don’t know about that many… but then again who knew I would get to 17k 😂
Thanks again 👍
I like the Klein pack-out over a lot of others out there . Im so invested in Milwaukee. I feel Klein entered a bit late with there offerings. But they are definitely nicer .... Soft close would have been a nice touch on those drowers😂😂🤣 thanks Morgan see you next time
I’m very much like you and agree 👍
I agree. As soon as they stuck anything on top they should have thought, “now we have to install it all to get in there” 😂
I guess the prob is the weight of the stack and making that bottom draw sturdy enuf while still functioning as a draw while being made of plastic.
And we would prob lose some space due to the sliders etc so it would be less content.
But yes we all still want it.
Just reflecting on its probably being easier to ask for that it is to make it work well
If they F it up they lose their reputation
But if stacktech makes it work they will kinda have to do it I would think.
And if you put a accounted or lawyer hat on I kinda get it
I fear Milwaukee will prob be the last to do it and only if they feel they don’t have a choice anymore.
Thoughbuilt has one coming this year. Rolling Drawer Box.
👍👍.. that’s good, then others will likely follow hopefully
grab one as soon as, TB can't meet demand
Well, I had a nice comment, and something happened with the tablet, and it is gone! The keyboard folio is wearing out I think? Anyhoo…
Congrats on the growth of Your Channel, Joey! You have been blessed by Your hard work, Your Faith, and Your Character.
( I’m piecing this back together in my little brain ) 🙄 KLEIN should be happy with Your excellent presentation and demonstration here. Heck, made me wanna go out and pick up a ModBox! But I have PackOut and Ridgid systems, and no need to make additional investment. LOVE the Orange color. It is a shame Klein went from the Despot, to bLowe’s. KLEIN really did their homework here. Well thought out and very purposeful. Being able to carry a level and other things on the back of the ModBox made me really rethink one of my earlier sentences! 😯🙄😆
All I can think of to jot down. Keep up the good work! 👍💪🙏🇺🇸😊
Appreciate the kind words…
They do seem like they are getting some things right in their products.
I’m heavily invested in Packout myself to make a 180… but might sprinkle a piece in here and there. How I use mine I can do that, I know most people can’t.
I also prefer Home Depot over Lowes (at least in my town anyways) not sure about the whole.
@@MORGANSMaintenance You’re Welcome and appreciate the reply. 😊
Have You thought about doing like a follow up on those Milwaukee Wire strippers? I’m looking at either the Self Adjusting ones You featured in your video of 4 months ago, or the Klein Catapults? Would be interested to see what a comparison would be. Just a thought and wanted to run that by You?
great video . i also wish someone would come out with a rolling drawer bottom box
👍👍.. and think ToughBuilt is, you will probably end up getting one
While I don't own the furniture cart, the reviews I saw on it where overall meh, so I went the other route -
I went with the 4-wheel dolly base route, with 3 drawer boxes (packout 2-drawer for the base, and then 2x 3 drawers and a parts organizer to top it off).
@notme232 yeah I’d probably throw my kneeling pad on top.
Appreciate it 👍
If I needed one of those system, I'd go with Klein.
I hope your right Stefan
That would look sweet to have a mod box on my black euro packout
I’m with you on a bottom drawer
@@SpartanBrass Milwaukee is finally doing it… competition helps out, they will all have to make one 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance good to know. I went all drawers and a foldable dolly. I mainly needed for the vans, rarely do I need to take an entire stack on a job.
I would buy this if they had an option to have drawers as the bottom rolling part. Having a chest as the bottom box is dumb.
It would definitely make more sense 👍
Great video, but it looks like the drawer with the dividers is deeper than 5 inches in the middle section. Something is not adding up.
Good catch… you were right it didn’t make sense 😂
I just checked and it was 9”.. my tape measure must have been hitting on a lip on the divider when I was filming. I remeasured from that lip up and it was 5”.
@@MORGANSMaintenance That's what I thought. 👍
couldn't agree more about introducing a cart option where you have a single large drawer intstead of the open top. It just takes away from the design if you always have to remove the upper mod boxes to access your largest storage area.
@@sambaird3963 I know Milwaukee has one coming next year, and I heard ToughBuilt has one in the mix as well. Competition is king… once one does it and it sells, they all will 👍
But you don’t - you remove the handle and can open any lid.
Great review.
I do like the look of these mod boxes.
Just not an option in Europe unless you import them yourself from the USA.
Toughbuilt stack tech is I believe going to be the first to bring out a rolling single draw box this year.
But I’m not being convinced by them on their system
But if one company does it the others surly have to follow
So 2025 might be the year we see that in packout ( please please )
All in all
If modbox would sell in Europe and I would not have money in packout I would prob go for it if I was starting out on a box system.
The more I see of them the more it seems a gimmick company
I don’t know just based on a feeling
Hard to put into words
@@robholland5925 I get what you were saying. I have had any ToughBuilt stuff that I’ve just been “wowed” by. Not bad tools, but not “wow”
There is a lot of time wasted on functionality. I like the red. 😉😂 Appreciate these reviews.
I only have a few minor wishes on the Packout, but overall they have been great. I really like their organizers
Damn, I'm extremely deep in Pack-out. It would be expensive to switch over now.
I agree, the single drawer should be on the bottom. That should be Milwaukee's next release.
agred i was just thinking i wish the drawer was the wheeled base then you said it too
I saw Milwaukee has one coming on the Pipeline video yesterday. I think they all will be doing it soon.
ya their dolly lets u put a garage door style box on the bottom atleast
We need the big drawer at the bottom with the wheels. This is such an obvious design flaw. Why can’t any of these manufacturers just make it? This is the only reason I haven’t already bought/built out one of these stacks.
@@othernamesweretaken1871 Milwaukee has it coming next year… I’m not sure about the rest. I agree 👍
You’re right the bottom needs to be drawers
It would be a much better option 👍
I’m waiting to get any of these box systems for when a company comes out with a drawer rolling box. I know it’s already been said in the comments but maybe these companies are reading the comments.
A lot of people have been asking for it online.. I think they have to know it 👍
Klein came out with it you should review it
@@MrssxtrixyM I’ve seen a few videos on it, haven’t seen one in person yet
I also feel the packout 3rd party mods are too expensive aswell frankly
Some of them are… and if they aren’t expensive shipping generally is.
Of course. The literal DAY after I spend 700 bucks on packout drawers for my van 😂
Nice
👍
You need to read what I wrote and who I'm referring (and it's not the ModBox).
@@wim0104
if you ever tried to walk your tool box through a doorway you would understand why the side attachments are useless, other than that it looks great
I can see that.
I normally do commercial work. I rarely use my rolling box unless it’s a mall/school/factory which usually has bigger entrances, but a good point to think about 👍
I guess they would beat every other brand if they had a drawer at the dolly
Yeah, I would think it would be something they should all be working on
