Or maybe if the Disney villains had these dolls to take their frustrations out on, they'd be nicer to the actual kids. But then, we'd have no Disney movies. Except maybe, Jungle Book...
I had a second-hand Barbie Dream-House from the 80’s, and usually those bright pastel pink and blue walls were the setting for a melodrama about life in a Victorian orphanage. They say Rainbow Brite is still searching for the locket left behind by her mother.
Grace Haven oh ok. So being a “red-headed stepchild” is an expression and this doll is both literally and metaphorically a “red-headed stepchild”. Am i getting this right?

If u consider making little ammo belts out of fabric and paper to fit around the girth of Care Bears,(specifically, Grandma bear, Cheer bear and Good luck bear), then give them plastic semi-automatic play squirt guns as weapons.......then have a show down with the "packing" Care bears and Cabbage Patch dolls? Correction it's for the right reasons
It could be worse, Richard is the son of a truck driver who when he's he's home listens to Captain Beefheart and eats Quaaludes all day long.
Jana Cahill honestly I just glanced at your comment and at first I read “eats quaffles” as in one of the balls in quidditch in Harry Potter... I don’t know which is worse: quaffles or quualudes😂
@@KellyClement why truck driver? you do know thats a career that requires skill and comes with a great salary! smh
@@KellyClement why have you described a nightmare?
"I won. I've got YOUR daddy wrapped around my finger." Dang son.
wait so that was a boy saying that so now he is like step "mom" or something ....snl just stop.
@Kong Pong, No moron, he's still a step dad. Just married to a dad.
Kong Pong If you wanna take it in that context then
BOY LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT A LITTLE THING CALLED HOMOSEXUALITY
Kong Pong you’re dense
Kong Pong hahahahaahhaahahaha i hope you’re joking
I love the subtle things they throw in there.
They way they say the boy has the girls “daddy”
The way the little black girl makes a face at the beginning
The way they change the lighting whenever the kids start imagining. This is genius
Lmao "wait, where's your doll?" . ... "She won't be joining us." 😂 her friends expression was priceless. 0:08
So this is the doll ever evil Disney villain grew up with
Robbie Backpacking, and where would we be without Disney villains!
Robbie Backpacking
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 yeah
Penny Lane Getting a good night's sleep during our childhoods? 😁
Or maybe if the Disney villains had these dolls to take their frustrations out on, they'd be nicer to the actual kids. But then, we'd have no Disney movies. Except maybe, Jungle Book...
Robbie Backpacking Matilda
That scene where the boy says “I’ve got your daddy wrapped around my finger” I died of laughter
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just noticed 0:53 in the background the little girl is sitting in the chair staring at the doll. Lol. Probably with a disapproving glare.
I love when Cecily narrates shit It's so perfect!
I loved the one she did for the Asian American doll.
Kid: I'm going to put in an Oriental rug!
Cecily: Uhhh okay but you did that. XD
A doll for Wednesday Addams lol
lilelbee423 Wednsday wouldn't abuse her own kids...
DeathnoteBB her last doll lost her head both physically *and* mentally
well she'd know the difference between a doll and actual child haha
Omg yesss
Bruh, I was about to write that lol
Wait. This is the best writing I’ve seen on this show in a while. This is my kind of comedy! When you don’t laugh and you feel scared.
D Man-G Because you know these kind of people exist.
This has Julio Torres written all over it. He's been doing amazing dark sketches on snl for a couple of seasons now
I had a second-hand Barbie Dream-House from the 80’s, and usually those bright pastel pink and blue walls were the setting for a melodrama about life in a Victorian orphanage. They say Rainbow Brite is still searching for the locket left behind by her mother.
I like that the boy version is red-headed. Subtle.
Shyaporn I don’t get it?
A literal redheaded stepchild. Brilliant.
@@jankyjortyjorts12345 the red headed step child is an expression for a step child that is treated badly by their step parent
Grace Haven oh ok. So being a “red-headed stepchild” is an expression and this doll is both literally and metaphorically a “red-headed stepchild”.
Am i getting this right?
@@jankyjortyjorts12345 yep 👍
I love mom & Dad arguing yet both are horrified by their crazy, evil daughter....so dark & funny SNL!
I can’t believe THIS got cut but alien butt made the show! Wth......
Amber Lee that sketch was a masterpiece
I did laugh out loud when the alien had the allergic reaction to the perfume though. I'll never grow up =oD
The 30 minutes of last week tonight or whatever the dumb news show is is why it it got cut
I know right? Makes you wonder if Lorne is going senile
Probably cause the little boy said I got your daddy wrapped around my finger 😂😂
Cecily’s voice being so cheery the entire time adds so much to this
Why was this masterpiece cut?
😂😂😂 This still cracks me up! Whoever came up with the idea & wrote this one should get an award.
It was written by Julio Torres, and all of his sketches are spectacular!
Some kids got instinct to go dark...Why not embrace it..😱
Lisa and the doll just sitting in the background of the confessional in front of the fireplace is a HILARIOUSLY underrated part of the sketch
I WON! I GOT YOUR DADDY WRAPPED AROUND MY FINGER!! 😂😂😂
From the looks of Richard, I'm guessing he's the kids daddy too.
Goldfish must love you.
So our daughter is married to this guy ? Not for the right reasons. :)
This is low key genius😂 I want to see a whole My Little Stepchildren line, there are so many novels they could pull inspiration from👏🏽
1:43 I wanna be THIS involved with my kids tea when I start a family
This Portman episode was the best of the season so far. I liked most of her skits. The rap was great.
Where was this when I was growing up?!?!? I still live for the drama even now 😩
Can't believe this was cut for time when I laughed harder at this than most SNL skits that actually make it on air. "I have your daddy wrapped around my finger." 😂😂😂😂😂
Anyone else interested in seeing more about how this plays out? These kids have some interesting drama going on
Well, clearly, they'll have successful lives as soap opera stars.
This is something out of tales from the crypt
In love with this sketch! When I was a kid I would pretend to push Barbie down the stairs and said she "fell" 😂, did anyone else pretend to be evil when they were playing with dolls or was that just me? Lol
Well I did have my doll manipulate and murder my sister's dolls....
Then yes, I did that! Complete with the sound effects of caulking a shot gun and havin' the dolls say, "It's like this Mama bear......let's fight!" BOOM!!!!! (I remember most of the lines we created for the 'doll's, cause we also recorded it :)
Jaime C wow that's amazing insane and yet impressive
No, your not the only one lmao
My sister and I (when we were kids) used to rip apart our Barbie dolls, and pretend that the we were doing a work of justice by beheading them. XD
I also pretended I was possessed in fifth grade and had my best friend who was the prime leader convince people I wasXD
It became a group of six of us in our own little “cult” lol
I used to fuck my Chucky doll up the anus if that helps.
It's always a treat to see Natalie Portman on SNL. I love how she just goes for it.
0:30 yay!! Gaslighting was my favorite game as a kid, amazing to see kids growing up having the same fun I did!! 😝😝
SAME
Tag yourself I’m “She never wanted kids she just wanted Richard”
I’m the dramatic descent down the stairs.
I'm embracing the child's dark side
I'm the "sheet of glass between her and the doll, now she doesn't feel pressured to change that.
I’m “I won, I got your daddy wrapped around my finger.”
I’m the advertiser’s cheerful voice throughout the whole thing.
I like how the one doll is a red headed step child
I had to play it back 'cuz I missed that part!
It looks like the guy from the movie "The Twisted Nerve."
Funny...i have a stepdaughter and a red headed stepson! LOL. Love them both though
@@electronbluepearl8591 Who is the Firestarter in this Situation?
I wasn't going to say anything.
......is it bad that as a child i would’ve loved this
Its crazy that this was cut for time because I think about more than any other SNL skit ever
So if you buy the doll second hand it became adopted doll.
Oh mabye? Am I’m laughing
Are these available in stores...I'm asking for a friend.
Nice picture!
No, it was just a fake commercial. They either bought the dolls or already had them and then made the boxes.
shontapl Lol
Red Lupo *r/whoosh*
The closest you'll probably find are the Wal-Mart brand knock offs of American Girl called 'My Life'.
The real victim here is Richard. I have a feeling he's gonna need some therapy for a long, long time.
well that's if he lives for a long long time lool and honeslty i am not sure it is an option
Richard made his choices. It's the stepchildren that are the victims!
@@cambiata Exactly. The scary thing is it happens in real life sometimes.
Lowkey feeling like richard got his wife poisoned and us gaslighting him constantly
Something is going to happen to Richard. So that she can have full control of the step children's fates.
"Why all the questions, Marjorie?"
Dayum.
The boy doll is even a red-headed stepchild
i didn't get this. was it supposed to mean something?
Mother Gothel, the early years...
Morbidly hilarious!
That girl totally nailed her Wednesday Addams audition
Ikr, this is definitely how Wednesday played with her doll before she decided to behead it
