I read Morrissey had a tough time coming up with a vocal melody for " Money Changes Everything" so they left it as an instrumental. Marr offered it to Bryan Ferry and this is the result.

Money Changes Everything is the B-Side of Bigmouth Strikes Again. Bryan Ferry was so amazed with this Smiths' instrumental that he decided to put vocals in it, with the collaboration of Johnny Marr, the only one who could play it properly. So "The Right Stuff" was born.

I like Bryan Ferry, The Smiths, and Black Sabbath. It's ok to be influenced by other genres. I've gravitated towards hard rock and heavy metal, but my older brother turned me onto stuff like this. I believe it's rounding me out as a musician.
morrissey claims he showed up at the studio one morning ahead of schedule and discovered johnny and bryan huddled together working on this smiths adaptation "as if jealousy guarding a can of sardines." apparently morrissey didn't know about it and he claims that when he walked in bryan ferry grabbed his stuff and ran off in a hurry. he says that "johnny is there in the video looking lost, minus only a pair of slaves sandals." i'm a huge fan of bryan ferry, just thought it was a funny story.
morrissey was definitely jealous. plus, i think johnny marr was honored that bryan ferry liked his work and was asked to play on his record as marr felt working with a pro like ferry was fun instead of dealing with morrissey.
