WOW, pilot is a bad ass, so calm and re assuring her the whole time, he was very professional , and the women was too! United States Navy at it's finest. What an awesome experience this must have been!
Having worked for Boeing/McDonnell Douglas for 32 years in STL helping build those F18s, I can tell you many of us wished to ride instead of all those celebs too!
If you search for regular people you'll find it. All you probably do is see things about celebrities and news article channels that's why it keeps popping up for you
It was so nice to see a regular, nice, productive, useful civilian in the back seat instead of some jackass celebrity or narcissistic ditzy bubble-headed reporter. Tell your Mom "Well done!", I'm jealous! She seems like a great person!
Those bubble headed celebrities and reporters bring more attention to this recruiting program than some obscure nobody. The Blue Angels and The Thunderbirds are not an entertainment program, they are a RECRUITING TOOL. Nothing more, nothing less
It's amazing how the pilots calmly talk through those high G maneuvers effortlessly while the passengers are squeezing their legs tight enough to break a coconut. Awesome.
Listen to Sully's audio of the bird strike engine out US Airways landing in the Hudson....He was as cool as a cucumber ....his pulse never went over 75!!! He was like Teterboro...........cant make it.........going in the Hudson......ATC was like ......."did you say going in the Hudson".......Sully was like....... "Roger that"!!! .... LMAO.....he is a real man that dude....Balls of Steel!!!
Having flown a jet, I am surprised that she did so well. Most people would not have lasted that long. Good going gal. This video shows a lot, but nothing can compare to being in one. Words cannot describe what the body goes through. Makes me want to go back and do it all again.
I absolutely LOVE your mother's spirit, Brock!!!! This is the kind of stuff that makes my spirit SOAR!!!!! Once again, Thank you for posting these PRECIOUS memories!!!! I REALLY DO appreciate it.
This pilot has a superstar voice! I absolutely love it! If he ever becomes a commercial pilot, his voice is what I want to hear along with experiencing his expert flying ability...well I don't want him to fly the commercial aircraft like a fighter jet though.😀😁😁😁😁
I am so happy for her, and honestly any of us would have been sick. Heck, I probably would have been more than once. She was a trooper and as a Veteran, I have so much respect for the Blue Angels. I have even seen them in an air show. But, the real star of this show is this awesome teacher. Much respect for our educators and glad to see a non-movie star in the passenger seat.
A dream come true. To the pilot. Thank you sir. For your passion and dedication. A true fighter pilot and professional. And to the lady. Lots of love to her family. Made me laugh when she said i feel awful...lol. Good job ma'am. Your a trooper.
This pilot is so amazing. I’ve seen (heard) him in other videos. I like the way he always walks his passengers through all the phases with of the G’s and in her case a “G lock”. I can’t imagine being in her shoes! Kudos to both! 💙
Good job chica! No worries indeed. You got to do what a million people would like to do AND handled it super good. What a ride of a lifetime! STOKED!!!!
You fighter jet pilots are such great athletes, and thank you so much for your service! It's amazing how those Gees affect the human body! If I'm ever blessed enough to go on a ride along I'm not eating or drinking anything! What a cool pilot, and Kim did great considering it was her first time in a jet fighter! I wonder what the pilot would do if you, said, "Come on man, is that all you got, step on it!" Talk about asking for trouble! LOL
This is legit a relationship 😂 meet someone your extremely interested in, over anxious with sweaty palms excited at the beginning, orgasmic situations ensue, all the sudden can't explain how she feels and random vomiting/nauseousness, then after a short time it all becomes better and she starts to feel blessed... Blue Angel "lucky" #7 gave her the ride of lifetime, years worth of emotions in under 15 minutes, and left her with a memory she will never forget (except for the 3 second dream). Your a BEAST Kim! #7 your one smooth dude, well done sir!
This is what dreams are made of!!!!! I’ve seen and met them so many times and now love when they visit Smyrna, TN and of course when we stay in Orange Beach, AL every year. Kim is a champ!!!! I can’t imagine given the chance to ride, definitely won the lottery!!!
Wow!! Great job!! I did feel for her when she sick... she was hardcore to last as long as she did without being sick. Massive respect and what an awesome experience.
She did a great job considering she had never flown like that before. The pilot was so professional and caring always reassuring her. This is one of my favorite videos.
Kim - Fair Winds and Following Seas for the rest of your life, you are one of us (I was only Surface Warfare). Young lady you are not a "woose", must guys are done at take off.
This was awesome! The pilot had a voice as smooth as silk, Kim was awesome and so gracious, and I wish that were me. So happy for you . What a selfless act by her hubby to give her his ride. ❤
She did a great job! This Pilot does a great job Flying and being such a good man with his talking. One of the best Angel videos I have seen. How did she get the opportunity for this flight?
I had an opportunity to have the stick and fly acrobatics in a T6 Texas Trainer. The first wing-over had me second guessing for about five seconds ha. ha. LOL. But for her first time she was beyond great. Her smile and attitude caused me to watch both videos. The pilot was so cool and patient with her and she was absolutely fearless. I would advise her to change careers to JET PILOT. De Oppresso Liber.
In addition, she is also amazing for going up with the Blue Angels pilot! I want to do that! NOW! Such ease on both people! The pilot putting her at ease and explaining everything, and her understanding everything and being prepared was truly professional on all accounts. I've seen them several times and have the utmost respect and admiration for the professional manner they project and the way they perform for us. We are their employers, and I for one am grateful for every single one of our armed services personnel who have volunteered to serve our great country! The performances by the services remind us of the professionalism and dedication of our military personnel to show our citizens how they can protect us and fight for us. Their airshows actually project what they may go through on a real mission! These camera views are incredible! It shows how good these pilots are compared to civilians who have no training. Also courage to the passenger who flew with the pilot. The guy was so- don't have words good enough to describe him! Just fantastic video! WOW!
I am soooo envious. Not only that she got to do it but that she was able. i could not. Way to go trooper! Loosing your breakfast is just part of the gig.
Awesome job Kim! Congrats! All things being 'semi' equal, I had my incentive flight on Dec 26, 1996, A/C 81-0063 (F-15D model) @ Nellis AFB, NV. Absolutely the most memorable experience ever! Looking at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway over my left shoulder then looking back forward I experienced the greys. I was so excited in those few seconds the blinds started closing in from the edges! I was like what in the world? Upon leveling, my vision cleared up but then I started floating out the seat! I had loosened my lap belts while waiting for vertical takeoff clearance (LV airpspace can be quite crowded). Now I'm like what the heck I got the chute, oh shute I'm airborne inside the crewstation! The pilot asked me if I was okay; I was scrambling back there like a rodent! Tightend them belts back down; it was on! I quickly learned to slightly mimic the pilots' breathing in the g-manuevers so all was great! Two back to back 8.9 g inside turns, popup and roll over a mountain v-shaped notch was incredible! What an experience you had and I am glad to re-live my experience watching your video! I had oatmeal and a protein drink about two hours before climbing aboard and trust the pilot pulled his visor down masked up before we taxied! Physiologically everyone is different (obviously), and I had to pause watching your greys come on thinking is that what I looked like! Thanks again for sharing your truly memorable experience!
What a terrible place to go to work everyday eh?! These pilots are absolutely amazing. I get goose bumps every time I watch fast jets. Once upon a time that was going to be me. But sadly life happened. This would certainly be top of my bucket list. That woman handled this like a boss. Pure joy in her face. Thank you.
I can't stop grinning from ear to ear. I envy this lady. my biggest dream is to fly in a real aircraft. I've flown in several other planes including the flying tigers but nothing like this. soooo lucky!!
For some reason they don't allow the person in the back seat to wear a G suit. For someone who has never flown like that before a G suit makes tolerating the G's a lot easier. I flew twice in an F-100 back in the 1970's. We continuously pulled up around 7 G's for several minutes while we were practice dogfighting against another jet. Even though I never had any of the training to do that type of flying or any previous experience I never got woozy, passed out or got sick. I'm pretty sure wearing a G suit had a lot to do with it. Considering that this lady wasn't wearing a G suit I think she did extremely well.
Joe Vignolo G suits take away approximately 1.5 to 2 G’s. It’s really not that much but in an extended fight or under constant G loading it does help a bit. G tolerance is something that is built relatively quickly. The Blue Angels do not fly with G-suits.
@@jpbernie72 In my post what I was going by was my own personal experience. When I took the first ride in the F-100 I had no training or experience under high G conditions at all. None. This meant my G tolerance was minimal. However, even the very first time I experienced high G's I never greyed out or blacked out. And I never got sick either. During a practice dogfight like that the F-100 would easily pull 5 G's or more and it would be continuous for several minutes. There was no "hick" technique in use at the time. But I was wearing a G suit. On the second ride, which was 2 years later, the G's were even higher as we were dogfighting against F-15's. We pulled 7 G's, which was the limit the F-100 could do, for 3 to 4 minutes continuously and again I never passed out. I'm sure in those two situations where I was a non-fighter pilot experiencing high G conditions that the G suit made a big difference. As such I don't see why the Blue Angles don't allow VIP's or media people to wear a G suit while riding in the back seat.
@@davidthayer6969 Please read my posts again. I'm not talking about the Blue Angel pilots. I'm talking abut civilian non-pilot VIPs and media people who are flying with the Blue Angels in the rear seat. What I'm arguing is that having been in two similar situations myself I think that ordinary people being given rides in the back seat of a high performance jet fighter should at least be given the option to wear a G suit. It worked very well for me in the F-100. Twice.
@@joevignolor4u949 Getting sick is a physiological response to conflicting messages sent to the central nervous system from the ears and eyes. Wearing a g suit does not prevent motion sickness. As for whether someone passes out under G, that is influenced by more than the use of a G suit or the AGSM straining manouver. For example, a person's height, level of hydration, fitness level, and fatigue level, and the g onset rate, all play just as much of a role etc. So, you may have pulled 5g and not passed out, but there are well-conditioned fighter pilots who have pulled a lower number (while wearing a G suit) who have passed out and died in the ensuing crash because they were fatigued and the onset rate was rapid.
Ive been married to my lovely wife for 35 years. I love her dearly. But I think I would have drawn the line at giving up my blue angles ride to her. God bless your husband. Great video. Maybe the best blue angles rear seat ride along on RUclips. The gal is so so so humble and not awkward and annoying at all. Thanks for sharing.
I remember riding the centrifuge at Brooks AFB TX - we always had to ride until g-lock as we were testing flight suits. Watching her black out brought back some memories! Always fun to watch somebody else take a 2-3 second nap! Great video!
I've seen a bunch of these with different Blue Angel pilots and these guys all have such a calming demeanor. They must teach them that in flight school but they just seem like really great friendly guys. Makes me proud to be an American. They are so confident, competent and in charge. I can only imagine the ride if they are trying to evade and were actually dog fighting. What a great job.
All i can say is AWESOME!!!! I am SOOOO jealous and she did great and listening to the pilot talk and fly is a joy, i have the utmost respect for these men/woman pilots maybe in my next life i can be a fighter pilot!!
... no part 3? :( Anyways, congrats to your Blue Angels flight. It's a privilege and you must have deserved it. I hope you still felt a bit like an angel up their in the sky. At least you smiled and cheered like one. Greetings from a German pilot! ;)
Just when I was thinking, "I can't believe she's not getting sick, yet".......she grabbed the barf bag! Happens to everybody. I'm a pilot myself, but I've almost gotten sick up there, too. Once in a sailplane and another time doing airbatics in a Citabria.Usually happens when someone else is flying the airplane. Still looks as though she had a great time.
What a dream come true!!! I had the privilege of attending the "Family and Friends" preview a few years ago when a relative was serving on Fat Albert. Don't feel bad Kim, I'm sure I would have needed the bag too!! You were incredible and the pilot was too!!! If I had the opportunity, I'd take no matter if I got sick or not!! Way to go!! 👍🏻👍🏻
She's a Trooper!! She was so much fun to watch... Full of Enthusiasm and Joy for the opportunity to have one of the best rides anyone can ever get in a Lifetime! And the Pilot did all the right stuff and fulfilled the dream for sure. I'm grateful to have been along for the ride and very much impressed by the way they prepared her so she could get the full benefit of the ride. Keep up the good work...... Yeeeeehaaaaaaaa, Weav
Living in a city with an Airforce Base. I see these planes a lot. I never often entertain the thought of flying in one, but the liftoff looks awesome and just for that I might, but I know I will definitely need the barf bag eventually. This lady did awesome and was so blessed because being able to fly in one is so rare. It is like winning the lottery kind of lol:)!!!
Outstanding job, I wish so much I would one day catch a ride, but it is not going to happen, so I live the flight thru you. BTW, I knew you was going to puke when you first said your hands felt sweaty in part one. So Cool, So Lucky.

Wow so amazing. Your mom is a trooper. Such a fantastic experience. Thank you so much for posting the videos.
Her: "I feel a lot better than I expected! This is awesome." Him: "Challenge accepted."
Certainly one of the best videos on RUclips. Waay cool mom!...kudos to her husband for making her dream come true.
Where is the jealous button? Awesome!
Geeze, she did really good. Both of you sound like really good, and fun loving people.
I love how calmly and methodically pilots talk.
This is awesome! I loved her excitement and smile.
I’ll bet you never had so much fun puking into a bag!! Thank you for sharing your opportunity of a lifetime!
Jealous, envy!!!!!!!! Just frickin' awesome.
She is an absolute trooper! Pilot is a class act as well!
I was waiting for that to happen !
She handled it like a champ😎
I remember riding the centrifuge at Brooks AFB TX - we always had to ride until g-lock as we were testing flight suits. Watching her black out brought back some memories! Always fun to watch somebody else take a 2-3 second nap! Great video!
This is awesome she had a chance of a lifetime to fly with a blue angel!!!!
Awww. She handled it like a Champ! 👍 Nice smile.😊
My goodness, that pilot: the coolest of cucumbers
I've seen a bunch of these with different Blue Angel pilots and these guys all have such a calming demeanor. They must teach them that in flight school but they just seem like really great friendly guys. Makes me proud to be an American. They are so confident, competent and in charge. I can only imagine the ride if they are trying to evade and were actually dog fighting. What a great job.
"Pretty cool, huh?" Like he just stood a nickel on its side.
Greetings from a German pilot! ;)
Hi Andy. Did you ever train at Holloman AFB in Alamagordo NM?
Miss pt 3 also....
Love the way he flys and how she act....really sweet voice and girl :-)
AWESOME JOB KIM AND PILOT....THANKS BROCK!!! from x sailor..USS CONSTELLATION CV-64(1977-1981)
Way to go!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Where do I sign up....? Airshow coming up real close....Apr 2019 In Goldsboro NC..... YAY ❣️
Kim, you were awesome. Thanks for making me feel like I was there. Highly skilled pilot as well, loved the Quagmire "Alllriiight"
"And she stops right where ya want her" . . .
Yupp
The F-18 might not be our fastest jet
but it is an exact jet
Anthony Saponaro haha! I know , I went to fleet week at SF yesterday. I couldn’t stop smiling . It’s soo exhilarating just watching.
I wish we could have seen her reaction after the flight! She went from barfing to smiling in seconds, like a champ! 😁
Your mom will never forget this. What a gift from your dad!
Makes me think of the kind training these Pilots go through. Damn I wanna fly in one so bad
She did really good ,first time in a fast jet never stoped smiling bless her
Good job Kim
Living in a city with an Airforce Base. I see these planes a lot. I never often entertain the thought of flying in one, but the liftoff looks awesome and just for that I might, but I know I will definitely need the barf bag eventually. This lady did awesome and was so blessed because being able to fly in one is so rare. It is like winning the lottery kind of lol:)!!!
WOW sweet.....flight... the pilot guy sounds pretty professional...
You did GREAT Kim!!!!! Very happy for you!
Outstanding job, I wish so much I would one day catch a ride, but it is not going to happen, so I live the flight thru you. BTW, I knew you was going to puke when you first said your hands felt sweaty in part one. So Cool, So Lucky.
I had a feeling something along the lines of that was going to happen
She is one tough lady. I honestly do not have that much nerve ! I did feel the excitement....
BIG TIME !!!
For sure this young lady is bad ass! G-Locked and was ready for more... nicely done 👍🏻
