RV trip to AL part 2 - Vernon, Alabama

- Part 2, after arriving at my parents house to mooch dock (kind of), i double back to pick up a boat in hopes of using it later in the trip. I also experience Carrolton, MS in passing through, and shows small town glimpse of Vernon, Alabama.

Checking in from Vernon Alabama, my home town
I was born in Vernon in 72. My parents moved to Wisconsin when I was 4. My dad moved back there soon after and used to own the gas station on the northside. It was Rons MFA I think then it was a Marathon.
I worked at Ron’s MFA in high school. That was probably 94-95.

My biological dad lives in Vernon. Use to take me fishing in boxes lake n we would go to TC's convenient store. Is TC's still there? He would tell me a story about a man named Irvil hankins parking his car after gas hit 1.00 a gallon n walked everywhere. My dad lives on hells creek rd.
TCs is still there. It was closed a long time and recently just opened back up

When I was In high school (LCHS, grad.1967) I lived 3 mile South of Vernon in the Hightogy Community. I moved to Sulligent after I got married in 1989+/-. Vernon, Lamar County, Alabama is a great place to live. Carl Thornton
