Fuckin' a. You guys nailed it. Summer of '81 memory right here. I was six. Had the 45. Ames, Potsdam NY. Beserkley. Yellow Label. Little did I know I bought a power-pop classic!
Reminds me of playing in hobby bands for about 30 years or so. Sometimes we got a low paying gig but nobody cared, just felt good to rock and roll, have a beer or 2, and laugh with some friends 😊
Same here! It was a hobby with buddies, and we'd go dormant for long stretches and then get back together for some one-off thing, etc. The best years of my life, musically. I crave it again. I miss being in a band of similarly-aged guys, playing music we grew up on/loved from the 70's and 80's, no stress or expectations. We're all grown and nobody's looking to "record a demo", write original stuff or "make it big", which are the things that seem to kill many younger bands. Realizing this stuff wasn't the most important thing in my life made all the difference. Nothing wrong in calling a hobby exactly what it is. :)
Hey man, thanks for pointing it out! The breaks make this a powerful song ... we get into "the pocket" on this one in just a few places - that's the groove we live for!
Sigh , for such a simple song very few cover it as well as the original...including kinn himself....so please dont take offense boys... I had fun watchin ya...good luck with the record deal
Would have been better without the guitar case to show you have an American made Telecaster (we can see you playing it :), if the drummer had hit the cymbals available to him, occasionally. A couple of other things but it's just constructive criticism. All and all, a decent cover.
Haven't the faintest idea how to play in a band.... S collection of the loudest competing for the highest volume. FYI.... There are controllers on all electrical equipment.
I have a framed 8x10 of Ted Williams that would look perfect on that wall, great jam

Not bad. Good sound. Just needs more cowbell.
