I bet those 2 differentials are fighting each other because the chance of you putting 2 pulleys with the correct ratios together is about 1 in a million.
Cruiser007 I did the same thing with my craftsman lt1000 1998 sears I had two and both ran until the other motor blew up and but I have the frame from the old one and I took the rear end out of it and made a 4x6
Sounds like the idle circuit is plugged at some point. The choke being closed is actually pulling a high vacuum and pulling fuel from the bowl and that is how it is running.
Actually they worked just perfect. In the end I redone some linkages and had it set to where you could unlock the back diff. Also the rear diff. sits about 3/8 of an inch higher than the front diff. To bad I sold it.
Awsum
Some mud flaps would look good on that
When you're done that will be handier than a pocket on a shirt!

I have the same motor and I can't get it to run right it runs on full choke and I've cleaned and rebuilt the carburetor and it still won't run right
