Thanks!! Same as Adriel - it went into my cart before the video even ended. Because I've been in commercial photography for so long, about 70% of what you cover I usually already know. But the other 30% I don't know about is gold to me. This is a perfect example.
That's awesome, it really has reduced my post production time by half because I never mess with colors. It's hard to remember to set a new custom white balance in every room when you first start using it, but eventually it becomes all natural
i have had the expodisc for years now and you are absolutely right about the tilt towards the warmer WB. Used it a few times and dropped cuz my lenses are over 77mm in diameter.. I think the best method is adjusting your kelvin manually.. I can't keep hauling any extra stuff along with the heavy gimbal, field monitor, camera and lens..but will get the bootleg version for its size and use it when in those tricky situations..
Yes that makes perfect sense, a gray card needs to be facing the light source so you should turn your back on the scene and try and position the card to reflect the light towards the camera whereas this uses diffraction to gather light from the entire scene!
Nope. I set the white balance after the filter because I have noticed a slight green tint sometimes with the polarizer attached and it helps remove that
I typically try and aim the custom set square at the wall/area that's had the most color contamination from the different lighting tones. The white balance tool works great, but I have noticed over time I get the least accurate readings when I point it directly at the windows.
@@jeremydeihl I have a generic one also - the best I can tell, is that for best use you should aim it backwards to where you will be shoot from, rather than where you are aiming your lens - but I seem to have fairly similar results when I aim either way - just curious...thanks.
ı am using fujifilm xh2s / viltrox 13 mm f1.4 and Haida 3-7 stop nd filtre. But ı cant make proper indoor and outdoor light. Always in the windows light expoid how can ı fix it :(((((
Nice one, but would great if you did a post color correction to add to it, bc usually in real estate there are all kinds of different lights and color cast all over the place. I just recently saw a good tutorial on how to take the color cast out of shadows and highlights to make an overall clean white balanced look done in post which I had never seen before. Also looks like they are no longer Available..
Sorry for the super late response! I am working on a video similar to that right now with video color correcting. Are you hoping for a tutorial for removing color cast for photos or video?
@@MusicFed I actually do take a white balance for every room and if I'm moving rooms I try to take a balance between the two and compensate with different color adjustments nodes that fade on and off as I move spaces.
This look very promising! Thank you. if you dont mind me asking how much is it going for? I went to Amazon and its currently unavailable so theres no pricing.
Best tip I have seen today for white balance disk filter for realty work. Thanks greatly!!
Glad it was helpful!
I'm leaving a positive comment for the RUclips algorithm because yeah, I want more videos like this!
You have lots of information on your videos. Keep up the amazing work.

@@jeremydeihl Remembering that will be my biggest obstacle. Lol.
Had a heck of a time today in a home… just got one for our shoot later this week, thanks for the content
Hope it helps! I know for sure it has helped me
Went straight into my shopping cart! Thanks for this tip! so affordable too!!!
Awesome! Can't wait to hear what you think about it 😁
Tnx a ton! I searched and it's available on Amazon 🤩
My pleasure 😊

Great advice here. Knowing how to do it manually is super important
Exactly what I was looking for! I've got the reminder set. Let's go!

Do you set the white balance before you attach the giant polarizer filter adapter to your camera?
Nope. I set the white balance after the filter because I have noticed a slight green tint sometimes with the polarizer attached and it helps remove that
Awesome as always!!!
Thank you!
Are you pointing into the room, or going in the room and pointing back to where the camera will be filming when you set the white balance with that?

what sort of wizardry is this ? Gotta check this out ! Awesome information ! Appreciate the intel.
For how cheap it is, it works amazing

Actually, you don't have to attach the ExpoDisc to lens. You can just hold it in front of the lens. Buy the bigger one and it works for most lenses.
Nice information here! I only had experience with a friends and it was a small one.
c log ?

@@jeremydeihl Video would be great, thanks!
Could you give link on this tutorial please? Thanks
Do you use it for RE photos or just AWB?
I usually use awb for photos because it's so easy to change colors in post. Since it's much more difficult with video, this method works prime for it
@@jeremydeihlgreat video. Do you take a custom white balance for each single room? What about when you shoot walking across different rooms? Thanks

He literally says how much it costs in the video…
When I got it three months ago it was $15.95 plus tax on Amazon
@@jeremydeihl Thank you Jeremy.
@@helloholmes I literally missed that part.
I’m sorry buddy, but you take to long to get to the point. So I went looking up someplace else
