    "Glow" effect was a new thing to me - thank you for sharing this video although it's a little old! Also it's very helpful for someone who has the same setup! Cheers from Oakland!

      Thank you!!! Use that on your drone clips and you will see a beautiful shift in your shots for sure.
      I am actually from the Bay! My grandfather still lives in Mill Valley, one brother is in San Fran in the city and the other is a DJ(DJ Notcurnal) in the Oakland area. Thanks for the kind words 👊✌️

    I know this video is a bit outdated, but man!! You just rocked the way I colorgrade for my real estate clients!! I was on the fense whether or not to go all in with Resolve and you've made that decision so easy!! So I love Final Cut but I cannot get the dynamic range and fine color tuning that I can do with Resolve.... This is gold brother! Thank you!

    Thank you for the work through. 2 questions.
    I’m a beginner.
    1. What do you click to zoom in and out?
    2. What do you click to turn on and off the effects?

  • @Scriptshepherd
    @Scriptshepherd 2 года назад +2

    Thanks for the video man! What do you do when it comes to exposing for windows? Do you just expose for the room and blow out the windows? Or do you go through the effort of masking and key framing to expose for both?

  • @franzmathauser
    @franzmathauser 3 года назад +1

    Thanks for sharing. Your grade turns out really nice. I was wondering why your grade was done in rec709. Do you have any suggestions on that? Keep it up 👍🏻 nice channel

    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  3 года назад +2

      Thank you @MAD 🙏 I graded this in rec709 because most realtors, designers or builders really just want videos for social media or their website and are not in need of HDR. I believe RUclips is the only "social" platform to support HDR so unless my client is just uploading to RUclips I typically color in SDR

    Do you use camera gyro stabilization now with bmpcc 6k etc?

    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  Год назад

      I use "Translation" more than anything. I typically use my 6K on a gimbal and the gyro info doesn't seem to translate well in that scenario.

    • @TheBalkanSpy
      @TheBalkanSpy Год назад

      Interesting, I use gyro for my gimbal shoots since it got out and it seems to always outperform translation (less crop, less distortion etc) @@TheModernFilmmaker
      PS - Would love to see an updated version of this. I've been DoP-ing my whole career and am only now starting to get more hands on with colour grading, so am looking around for most specifically real estate tutorials :)

    Wow this looks amazing! Any advice with windows?

    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  2 года назад +1

      Windows can be tough! My best advice is to use a ProMist filter of some sort when filming. It will add more glow to blown out windows making it feel a bit smoother. 👊✌️

      @@TheModernFilmmaker yeah, that’s a killer lens! Bro, you channel is fantastic. Binging your other videos as we speak. I’d love to see an “On location/shadowing” video going over your focusing/framing/etc techniques with the BMPCC6K. :)
