Great videos! Been getting back into skating myself lately and this is great inspiration to just go have a chill skate session and talk shit. Love this camera angle too, has a strange perspective/green screen effect because of the wide angle, the grass and the fences.

Haha thank you! You’re the first person to mention the camera angle on any video, I’ve been messing around with the height and trying to figure out the best one. Keep skating!

About the Salchow entry. Watch Gary Beacom explain it, basically you should not scoop the entry skate, you just let it take the turn and at the "pole vault" point you use the swing leg more. You need a bit more speed to feel it right.

I just watched his video on the salchow, that makes a ton of sense to me. Last night I was using more speed and I felt what he was talking about. I’ll have a new and improved salchow next week!

Hell yeah i’m glad my comment about loops was helpful! They went from being my least favorite jump to my favorite once it clicked.

Aren't there specific inlines design for artistic skating that mimic ice? Like the one with a toe pick/stopper in front + having rockers configuration? I'm surprised how you can achieve axels jump without those features. I'm like brand new at inline skates and are more familiar with figure ice skating so I was just curious, soo cool seeing all of these achieved off ice haha.

I do a lot of urban/street skating, and I plan on combining the two styles once I’m better at figure skating so I only focus on the moves I can do without a toe stop, but your right all of the landings and spins are a lot harder without a toe stop 😅. My skates are rockered though! 2mm on the front and back wheel. Someday I’ll be doing axels in downtown traffic or down some stairs!

@@SolidSkates Ooo that sounds so cool. Yeah, I'm starting to look into inline skating since ice time is so expensive. I am about to travel to a country with no ice rink for a while, so I wanted to have something that can help me retain my ice skating skills but also be a good mode of transportation (it's Singapore so they have good urban planning). That's why your video pops up on my recommendation haha, as I was researching artistic inline skates. It would be cool to see someone randomly do an axel spin in the middle of the street. Keep up with it!
