Are you going to use Adobe Bridge to quickly rename all your files?
Still a great tip and worked for me today!
Thanks for your feedback and for watching!
I absolutely DO NOT use this program because for me it's always been about the top 4, PR, PS, IL and LR lol...I have an issue where I don't really look into stuff that I'm not familiar with if my workflow is working. But THIS.....THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!!!!!!!
Awesome video dude, thanks so much for this!
I'm glad I could change your mind! It's a really simple tip but like Bridge itself, it has powerful potential.
Side note, I removed a bit where I compared bridge to tools I use in TV to bring media into AVID but that seemed a bit advanced over this tip.
Thanks for watching!
I just bought my very first dslr and I will need to consider this for the crazy amount of pictures associate with photography... thanks for the share!
Thank you thank you so much, especially for the the section of replacing and/or keep existing/original texts. Thanks!
Thank you so much for watching and for your feedback - you've made my day :)
@@rodrrico great to hear. Be safe out there and blessings to you and yours
Amazing tip thanks a million! Life’s so much simpler & more organised
You're most welcome. New top tip videos coming soon!
Nice tip - fantastic for stills, dslrs etc. Although doesn't work with broadcast cameras (FS7, F5 etc.) these cameras are very easy to setup proper naming conventions in camera.
Also Sony Catalyst Browse is free but doesn't allow for batch rename, Catalyst Prepare is the paid software which gives ability to batch rename the MXFs.
You could look at using Shotput Pro to help automate the folder structure while wrangling - also will provide checksum and verification over just drag and drop.
All excellent advice there Rob! Interesting I thought Catalyst Browse still cost as we had licencing issues at Ch.9 a while ago. But thanks for the added tips / advice!
Very instructive video! Also your voice is very understandable! :D
Thank you so much for your support. I'm glad my voice is easy to understand. I always fear that I mumble :D
I was about to attempt this in windows powershell... this is so much easier!
I'm glad this has been able to help you! Thanks for watching.
thanks mate, this will defintly help me at some point!
Thanks for watching, feel free to ask me any questions if you get stuck!
Groovy info ✨
Thanks buddy! I'm glad I could help 😊
I don't see how renaming files in Bridge could affect the file's metadata. These are separate functions. Also, in MacOs's Finder, it's possible to batch rename files. But Bridge does have a lot more flexibility.
Video files such as Sony don't like being renamed and corrupt. Bridge eliminates this and is faster and safer for full blown workflows. This method I've taken straight out if my Broadcast TV pro workflow that is industrywide. Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback. Always welcome!
Is there any possibility to batch rename in the same way FOLDERS?
Unfortunately, not that I know of. That would be handy though. Good question 👍
@@rodrrico ruclips.net/video/XaatJRnEyWU/видео.html this is the best option I think ;)
@@DMMG7 that's not bad either. I use Automation on MAC which does the same thing. Bridge still wins overall as it preserves vital metadata information that a lot of these programs don't do or don't do correctly. We must preserve the metadata in Broadcast TV / Film world for a number of reasons so that will always be my priority. But fir sure other programs / options are out there. Thanks for your suggestion and thanks for watching.
too many words my friend, it's boring. You can start your tutorial from 4:01 minutes to explain.
