  • Determine the minimum cost aggregate plan using Excel solver. Please note I mistakenly say "an hour" quite often, I meant to say "per unit". Here's a link to the Excel file from this video: bit.ly/3fQVBhr

    thanks for this video :) but my excel error when entering integer constraint in solver, why is that, sir?

      Hard to say, I would have to look at your spreadsheet. Try it without the constraint to see if it still solves.

    Is this the transportation format?

    Total demand is 960 , thats already achived by (Regular Time & Over Time ), Why we ought to Subcontract 20 Unit Over !!

      Great question, because we needed to satisfy the no backlog constraint and keep up with fluctuating demand.

      Yeah Clear many thankds , but i have inquire if i have 5000 sku and each one have different inputs ( regular time cost ,over time cost , ETC,,,)does it mean i will run solver for each one alone ??!!

      @@TarekAhmed-oz1kj that would be a big model, beyond Excels capabilities in my opinion.

    The total cost went from 50.220 (before the solver) to 50.720 (after the solver). How does that decrease the cost. Is the cost not higher after the solver? bit confused.

    • @DavidJohnk
      @DavidJohnk  Год назад

      at 50220 it wasn't satisfying all the constraints.

    Why is the overtime 0 in the 3rd period?

    • @DavidJohnk
      @DavidJohnk  2 года назад

      That's part of the capacity constraint, if you look on the left no overtime hours are available that period.
