- Geoffrey Hughes, in the 2004 interview for PBS' The Funny Blokes of British Comedy, talks about the lovable character of Onslow and describes that special night with Hyacinth aboard the QE2.
Onslow was my favorite character on Keeping Up Appearances. He was a gentle, lovable slob with a brilliant mind and Mr Hughes played the part wonderfully.
This man was great. I have always admired Onslow.
R.I.P.
Rest in peace Geoffrey! Onslow was a great character and so was Twiggy.
Holy shit! He was the voice of Paul in Yellow Submarine? Now I like him even more than I used to. :)
I thought I saw every episode a few times, but I never saw the QE2 one. I love Onslow.
Great guy and great character. He will be missed!
rip Onslow :(
R. I. P. Geoffrey
RIP Geoffrey Hughes
Rest in peace eddy
Not too many left now. I think it's only Patricia Routledge and Clive Swift (Hyacinth and Richard).
It's truly amazing just how much Geoffrey Hughes has done in his career. I mean, how many people can claim they were a voice double for Sir Paul McCartney?
MY MAN ONSLOW,YOU WERE SIMPLY THE BEST IN YOUR GREENBAY PACKER SWEAT SHIRT. FAREWELL ,AND I'LL KEEP WATCHING.
RIP Geoffrey Hughes, I met him on Holiday once like 13 years ago, nice man, very chatty, polite and gr8 actor will be missed dearly.
I grew up in Stoke-on-Trent.
Onslow's reason for not tidying up is pretty much my excuse for the shambles that is my life.
i didnt know he died till the royle family christmas special
Oh nice
Good owl twiggles,
is that Lenny Henry doing the intro?
Is Lenny Henry dressed for a Laugh-In reunion?
