- An animation comparing Max Verstappen with Oscar Piastri during Sprint Shootout of the Belgian GP! Despite the straight line disadvantage, Piastri almost claimed first place by taking advantage of the McLaren's impressive cornering performance. Hopefully McLaren can keep up this upward trajectory!

Not a bad driver this young man Piastri. He’s made F1 exciting for me again. Watching him develop. It’s just interesting because you can track over the season how (besides outliers like Saudi and Canada) he’s on average clawed time to Norris, which is a good indicator for how he’s improving. Next year will be very interesting.
Happy to see that Oscar delivers on the promise he showed in junior series. Easily one of the most talented rookies we had in a while now. How quickly he managed to be up to speed with Lando is baffling to me.
Man, what an awesome video. Keep it coming, I love simplicity used to explain rather complex topics.
That’s why what Alpine did was criminal, they had to give him a seat or get one from somewhere , I would have preferred the former, even at the cost of Ocon, as soon as Piastri was done with F2. He won F2 championship at his first attempt, that’s so so difficult, just means he has great raw speed, which is what F1 always searches for
Fantastic job. Keep doing this analysis plz ! 👍
Very interesting that Piastri lost all the momentum he had over Verstappen by the end of the lap at Bus Stop, similar to Russell in 2021. Max seems to enjoy that chicane
i am honestly surprised, this kid on talent was matching a Verstappen lap time which Max relied on the Straight line speed of his car. I had lost respect for Mclaren a while ago, but Oscar might pull me back to support them.
So you gained respect for McLaren when they pulled one of the biggest snake moves in F1 history, right, right, says a lot about you 😂😂
@@JohnWiku lol
@@JohnWiku 'Snake Move'? How do you come up with that one?
@JohnWiku you spelt 'Alpine dropped the ball and didn't have a contract or confirmed seat' wrong!
That straight line speed is something else from the bull
Let's Go! 🧡🧡🧡
the best drivers drive short corners. like max, charles and hamilton. oscar also is driving short corners. lando drives longer corners and will eventually be overtaken by oscar to become mclarens lead driver.
@@pony0110 He's probably viewed Peter Winsor's video's about short corners, showing that indeed Norris, Perez and Sainz use longer corners than Verstappen, Hamilton, Leclerc, and Piastri.
Just noting max is well past a cars length at :16 seconds in
Maxes exits are flawless. His style is unmatched by anyone not mimicking his style
weird title considering he has been 200+ms off Lando through the whole season til last race
Piastre was on softs and Max was on intermediates HAHAHAHAHAHA
😂
To be fair Piastry only nearly beat Max because Max lifted multiple times in sector 2 to prevent unnecessary risks. He lost a lot in that sector (0.8s), in the race he won over half a second per lap in that sector...
