Another wonderful concert from Jayanth and his team. Main highlights for me were: • A superb chala nAttai and the kriti that reminded us so much of Smt MLV who made this her own kriti. The swarams following the kriti were very imaginative and highly attractive. • A nicely rendered Sadinchane. I had just finished listening to Jayanth playing JagadAnandaka in another concert. I must say that these are the best flute renditions of both these pancharatna kritis I have heard. I look forward to Jayanth pklaying the other three in the near future. • The subha pantuvarALi was fabulous - one of the best I have heard. All ragas, even alpanas, have their own inherent tempos. Some are flexible and can be played in various tempos. Subha pantuvarALi is one which is best played in a slow and meditative tempo. What was remarkable here was that some of Jayanth’s playing was extremely fast, yet he managed to keep the overall tempo slow - something very difficult to do. Dikshitar’s famous kriti was played in a sedate and meditative manner as it should be. • A sparkling mOhanam, showing Jayanth’s dexterity and speed. Note the ease with much Jayanth reaches the third Sa - something that requires a lot of practice and that is not possible with many flutes.
Namaste! Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Dominic, and I am French, and I really like Carnatic music. Can someone, please, upload a list of all the compositions rendered in this wonderful concert along with the names of the associated ragas, talas, and composers? It would be very considerate to those listeners who are not experts at identifying the ragas/talas/composers. Thank you very much. 🙏🕉
Sri J. A. Jayanth's concert was a class apart ! Excellent performance. A brilliant Brindavana Saranga and a meditative followed by the Dikshitar's "Sri Satyanarayanam" was wholesome. Of course, the master piece was Mohanam. Sri Sayee Rakshith's deft handling of swaras and his support is wonderful . Sri N.C.Bharadwaj and Sri Dr S.Kartik superb support goes without saying. On the whole an evening well spent 👍👏
Padu pramadham, as always Flute Jayanth! For e.g. Mohanam aalaap alone, you’ve pretty much explored many dimensions, corners, etc. from ati tara stayi to anu mandra stayi and presented the raga in all its beauty with full form & finesse!
Amazing sir 🙏🙏🙏
