Sony R1 in 2022

- The Sony Cybershot R1 was a little revolution in 2005. It was the first digital camera with an aps-c size sensor, that provided a full-time live preview. Today it's standard, but at that time, it was a step into a new way of photography. And the design! A big grip, a fully articulating top screen, manual focus ring, Zeiss lens, many buttons and a joystick. For me it seems futuristic at that time. Sony was always ahead of the times. Shooting with this camera is joy, the superb lens ist very sharp, the zoom range is perfect, with the display you can shoot in many positions. Sadly it's very small and has low resolution, like all older cameras. This early cmos-sensor has no good dynamic range, you have to be carefully with the lights and shadows. The color-science is...old...but, as you can see, you can work with ; ) and as always: this is fun!
Я купил эту камеру примерно 2 месяца назад за 3000 рублей (около $40). Сделал более 2000 снимков и скажу, это очень тёплая и душевная камера. Совершенно не подходит для репортажей, но замечательно подходит для студийных портретов и съёмок природы.
Моя первая цифровая камера! Только приятные воспоминания о ней. После тото как продал ее (перешел на зеркалку), то потом жалел и через много лет снова купил - за сравнительно недорогую сумму 6000 деревянных. Купил для души, очень нравятся ее теплые цвета, просто офигенный дизайн, ну в общем обалденный фотик
Такое качество картинки получалось только с никон д750 и Никон д70..шикарная камера,жаль что только для светлого времени суток..вечерние уже так себе,и всуммерки уже никак...

If it is in good condition, with good batteries...why not?
It is good price if camera is in good condition and all the functions works. It is really good camera and joy to use. Make sure camera comes with battery and charger and test it because sometimes battery contact will not work. Also check the front lens element for any major scratches or dust.
Its capable to produce shots as good or better than recent cameras, the lens alone if it was removable would cost more than £2000

Sorry, I can't help you, i've never owned a 828.
I have both the R1 and the F828, and I have to say, I can't really tell the difference. These two superb Sony cameras handle differently, overall I prefer the R1s handling characteristics and ergonomics. Though both of these are easy and speedy in operation, all the relevant buttons are to hand. The R1 and F828 are solid lumps being all metal, they are no light weights, I use a tripod mainly. I'd just edge the R1 over the F828, but only just, the results are high quality you wouldn't be disappointed with either of these cameras, buy both like I did, they are both a joy to own and use.

Jak ktoś nie widzi różnicy między 828 a R1 to chyba jest ślepy. Aps-c przeciwko 2/3
how much is it
In modern Camera Raw (photoshop/lightroom) with right exposure this very useble in iso 800, i make some comercial work in studio and interior in 2021 year - work very good)
